Bayside Retreat is a newer one level home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, large kitchen with an island & seating, family room with cable TV & DVD/VHS and laundry room with washer & dryer. There is a covered porch in the front with seating and a patio out back. Outdoor table and chairs and a gas BBQ are included. We also have a firepit for roasting marshmallows. You will find some bikes in the garage along with kites for you use. The house comes fully furnished with all linens and towels you will need. The kitchen has a microwave, coffee maker and just about anything you need for cooking. We have recently added an electric fireplace in the family room.
There is plenty of parking space with room on the side of the house for boat parking. Bike in the safe neighborhood or in nearby Nehalem Bay State Part. Beachcomb or fly kites on the beach in Manzanita. Hike Neahkahnie Mountain. Shop the many gift shops and places to eat in Cannon Beach or Seaside. Ride the bumper cars in Seaside or fish the Nehalem River. There is no shortage of fun things to do!

Year Purchased: 2001
About the owner: Larry & Karen both grew up in the greater Portland area and have frequented the Oregon Coast for many years. We currently live in Gladstone, OR which is a suburb of Portland. Karen is an RN at Providence Portland Medical Center and Larry is Retired.
Why the Owner Chose Nehalem:
In 2001 we traveled to Nehalem to answer an ad in the local paper. We immediately fell in love with the area. The very first time we drove down to the bay we saw an elk just grazing down on the bay. We loved the quiet of the neighborhood and yet we are close to everything. We struck a deal that day to buy our house and were thrilled. There is no shortage of wildlife to see including Blue Heron, Eagles who fish in the Bay and of course our resident herd of Elk.

Peaceful and quiet yet only 10-30 minutes away from everything. The one level home is convenient for all ages. The neighbors are super friendly and watch out for each other.
