Had another wonderful family time at "Nonni's Fish House", so much so that we have arranged for a another week in 2012. The amenities are unmatched. The house is so well furnished and equipped there is not much you need to bring. Beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach wagons, (those ones with the large tires for ease in pulling them over the sand), games,toys, crib, booster chair, library, you name it. No need to load the car up to the roof with gear, except your clubs. The course is right across the street. One of the outdoor pools is less than a block walk as is the shuttle bus stop to the beach.a 10 minute ride. The bus has room for your beach chairs, etc., and eliminates any need to look for parking and feed a meter. The gym is a short bike ride thru the community and has adjacent tennis courts and an indoor pool. I don't understand a previous reviewers gripes as the house was spotless when we arrived. My wife is allergic to cat/dog fur and did not notice any hint of allergy or odor during our stay. If you enjoy fishing, try out the headboats up the road at Lewes for a fun day with the family on Delaware Bay. Speaking of fish the kids will get a kick out of the large mounted shark on the wall of the sun room as well as the hall bath with the cartoonish fish mural covering the walls and ceiling. This is really a superb family-friendly home and location. Can't wait!
Owner response:Returning guests are the greatest testament to the house--this summer over half are returning after a previous stay. I know most visitors are so happy they don't have to lug all the extra items--bikes/wagons/chairs/umbrellas etc. so we are happy to have our visitors use these items that we have available in the house. Glad to have you back and hope you have a great time once again.

This house did have some nice attributes- it is located in a nice community, with sidewalks for the kids to ride bikes on, and it is accessible to the beach. The unit, however, was marketed as a pet-free house. However, when we entered the house, both my kids and wife started sneezing. Yup, just as we suspected, there was dog food in the cupboard. It was difficult for them to breathe during much of the stay. We did not find it to be a good house for kids under the age of 10- there are way too many nick-nacks around, susceptible to breaking, making it difficult to relax. Nice layout, large bathrooms, We found the management company difficult to deal with after the initial rental was done. We would definitely come to the area again- just not to this house.

Interesting this is posted 7 months after the stay--worst guests I have had in 7 years of renting and clearly in conflict with every other review--must be looking for another house to rent==poor owners! I never heard anything about the dog issue till I contacted them after their departure--which is when I contacted them about all the damages to the property. They even contacted me upon arrival and asked where the closest grocery store was and NEVER mentioned anything about the dog issue. My housekeeper did a mid week clean they requested and after only 3 days the house was a disaster--already filthy and sink/counters filled with dishes that my housekeeper had to clean. I had 30 e mails before their arrival with questions about the home and what was there for their use and NOT ONCE did they ever inquire about a dog--which by the way is rarely there and I am also allergic to dogs which is why I have this particular breed. I have had guests question whether a dog has even been in the house and I tell them yes. The next guests coming in were delayed on their ability to get in to the property because even with a mid week clean it took two hours longer to clean the property. These renters permanently stained the Corian sink/cracked the glass stove top and broke several items in the house. I feel sorry for anyone else who rents to them because they are not respectful of anything in the property==furthermore they never returned the key so I had to have all the locks changed. We leave all our lovely furnishings/decor out for all our guests to enjoy and have never had anything broken except for these guests--most guests would move something if they felt their children would not be respectful. They totally denied all damages to the property and after I sent them photos never heard from them again. They were the first people to rent the home after I purchased a new sofa and decor to go with the new sofa so it was absolutely clear that they had done the damage==I have had the same housekeeper for 7 years and she never found the house in this condition upon departure. So I hope when you are considering my home you will totally reject this review==and look at all the other great reviews. Other reviews support the beautiful, clean condition of the home and that the owner is responsive and helpful throughout the whole rental process.

We had a wonderful vacation in this home at Bear Trap. It was a comfortable home in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Maria was a pleasure to work with and we found every amenity available to us----beach chairs, bicycles, a fully stocked kitchen, a laundry room----too much to list! The shuttle to the beach stops two houses away from this rental and one outdoor pool is close enough to walk to. The property was clean and cozy----we felt like we were in our own home.

We had a superb time staying in this house. Convenient to the pool ... and well laid out for our family (including our three grandbabies!). Well equipped ... and comfortably furnished. When I polled my wife and our three adult children and their spouses about a possible return - all said "Yes" without hesitation. Thanks to the owners for making their beautiful house available!

Especially with young children I know bringing everything you need can sometimes be cumbersome which is why we have so many items that babies and young children will require. We have been renting this unit for the past three years. My family which includes two grandchildren and teens to adults, all have loved this home. Close to pool, shuttle, and beach. You feel very comfortable here. The owner has created a relaxing and kick back amosphere with computer, tv and video accessories.We have always found this home to be clean and child friendly. My grandchildren are like all pretty rambunctious but they treated this home as if if were there own. They are respectful of others property. We had some TV issues and an inteernet issue but after contacting owner they called cable company and within an hour all was back to normal. Highly reccomend this home and extremely friendly and accomadating owner.

This was a great house- lots of room, very close to the shuttle stop as well as one of the outdoor pools. Everything we needed for the babies was provided, so no packing extras! The kids all had a great time swimming, hunting for frogs by the pond, and riding in the wagon on walks through the neighborhood. The owners were also very patient with us and answered all of our questions, which we appreciated. Definitely recommend!

We had a great time at your beautiful house. It was big enough for us all to enjoy. The weather was great as well. Loved the neighborhood and the proximity to the one pool. Not to mention the shuttle to the beach. Loved how quiet and family oriented Bethany beach is. And love how you are close to Ocean city MD and Rehoboth beach. Description of house and pictures reflect exactly how the house is. House was very clean. And owners are excellent to deal with. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!!

This house is great for a large family. We have teenagers, a married daughter and son-in-law plus a new grandbaby, so we needed a place that worked for all of us. This house is comfortable, with everything one could possibly need for a week at the beach. We especially enjoyed the bikes with a pull-behind baby trailer and the guys loved the close proximity to the golf course. The pool is a quick walk from the house and we were within a few minutes of grocery stores and shops. We really enjoyed our stay at VRBO #45357!

We had a great time and loved the house. It had everything and more that we could have asked for.The kids loved all the toys, and we even took bike rides with our little one being towed in back and she loved it. We might just have to purchase one for ourselves. We also loved how close your house is to the pool, and spent a lot of time in your sun room. That room was great! Also, my dad loved the margarita maker.

We had a WONDERFUL week at the beach house -- thank you for everything! The home was clean, SO well-equiped, and beautiful. We also loved the Bear Trap community. We played tennis everyday, joined in on water aerobics, and loved to ride bikes. Thanks Maria!!

We love your fish house, especially the downstairs bathroom. We are very close to the shuttle stop and the pool and that we liked. We saw the blue heron.(children comments) We had a wonderful time--gorgeous weather,comfortable amenities, fun decorations,beautiful views! Thanks!

What a fabulous beach house! Martha would be proud of the decorating and the electronics are a guys play-pen. Spacious, relaxing and with every appointment. Away from the bustle but so convenient to the beach. A lovely community.

It's hard to imagine that your beach rental would be more fabulous than your own home...but that is case with this beautiful rental! The furnishings are lovely. The kitchen wonderfully equipped...and my husband/kids loved all the technology. We will visit annually and be proud to entertain guests.
