We have enjoyed 35 years of summer fun on the lake through 3 generations. The house has everything you could ever need for a memorable vacation.
The property features 2 full living areas. The 'front' house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (one bedroom and full bath are on the main floor, one room has a crib and changing table.) The main living space has a completely open floor plan with spectacular views, a main floor and upper floor deck with plenty of seating, a full kitchen with granite island that holds 6, a dining area with room for 8, and a dock with plenty of sand chairs and loungers and an umberlla for those seeking shade.
The 'back' house has 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom and full kitchen, pool table and TV area. the back house deck overlooks the channel. This living space is ideal for teens or for those looking for a quiet retreat. The rooms are divided into a 5 bunk 'dormer' and a room with queen bed and additional twin.
The garage has a variety of bikes kid to adult sizes, there is a jog stroller for early morning walks with the baby, as well as a variety of rafts and water toys. The grill on the main deck is in great working order and ready to be fired up. There is also a movable fire pit for late night s'mores or for guitar sing alongs.
The house is located on the South Shore of Wawasee. Griffith's Wawasee marina is a short distance and has lakeside fuel. 2 other marinas are located on the northern side of the lake and have boat rental services, bait and fuel. There is a boating channel that leads to lake Syracuse where there is a public dock area and a park.
The greater lakes area has a number of towns with multiple restaurants, bars, movie theatres and live stage theatres. There is an abundance of antique shops and amish markets, most notably, Shipshewana an open flea market on Tuesday and Wednesday and a shopping town open during the week and on Saturdays.
