Bucerias house description
Welcome to Paradise!Casa Peggy is located in the Heart of Bucerias, just 60 feet from the sandy beaches and Two short blocks from the Zocolo(main square),where you can shop for groceries, dally at the flea market, visit the quaint little church,or dine at one of many fine restaurants.
Enter the main house through the gated entry, which has secure covered parking. The first floor contains a newly decorated living/dining area with large fully equipped kitchen and a 1/2 bath.Ascend the circular staircase to the master suite, with walkin closet, large bath and balconies, one overlooks the pool area, the other overlooks the Bay, where you can watch the whales and dolphins at play, or just relax, sipping Margaritas as the sun melts into the ocean, turning the sky a gorgeous watermelon pink!

I'm still trying to catch up with all of the laundry and putting things away. Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful house! We had a really good time and the location of the house was wonderful. Our son James, the one who had been there before, spent a great deal of time in the ocean and in the pool. His fiance had never played in the waves before and he helped her get out in it, and she had a wonderful time, too. We went on a couple of different outings; zip lines, horseback riding, a boat trip to Los Arcos and Las Animas, and we all came back sunburned and exhausted. We spent a great deal of money at the market and in various restaurants (I told my husband before we left that this was my vacation too so I wasn't going to do any cooking, and I stuck to it) so we helped the local economy a little. We were very impressed by a guy named Romero who had his shop in the next block north who arranged all of our outings for us. Not the least bit pushy, not affiliated with a time share, and just very enjoyable to talk with. We gave him all of our left over food when we left. We made the housekeeper a little mad when we told her this because she likes to keep whatever is left in the fridge. We didn't know, thought you might want to put a note on the fridge about that to let other people know. Or not. The house was just the right size, and except for not having air conditioning, it was quite comfortable for the six of us. The ceiling fans made all the difference in the world. My husband and I took the pool house and the kids stayed in the house. Our youngest son slept in just about every corner of the house over the course of the week. The first night on the hammock, the next night next to the pool, on the floor in the upstairs bedroom, on the floor downstairs, you name it, he slept there. Not quite sure why, but he's kind of an interesting kid anyway. I don't know if we will ever return to Bucerias but if we do we will surely keep Casa Peggy in mind, that is, if you are still renting it out. Thank you again for letting us share your home. Can't wait to return!
Can't wait to return!
Our family just returned from our stay at Casa Peggy. It was our second time to Bucerias this year, but first time at Casa Peggy, we will return!!! We loved the location, it was extremely easy to get anything you could want, and the beach access just across the street was great. The house was extremely private and very comfortable. The kids LOVED the pool, and commented that of all the houses we have rented over the years, casa Peggy felt the most like home! The kitchen had everything you could need, including a few basic condiments/spices, after staying at places without them we were really pleased. Thanks for sharing your house Linda, and thanks again for answering all of my questions before we arrived, you were extremely helpful and patient!!!! Can't wait to return.

Lovely but needs repairs.
Lovely but needs repairs.
This is the second time that we have stayed at Casa Peggy. We loved the roof top palapa for early morning coffee and watching the sunset. It's closeness to the beach was a plus and of course it was so easy to walk quickly to where ever you wanted to be--restaurants, laundry, shopping. You really feel part of the community when you live at Casa Peggy. BUT here's the problem. Both times that we have been there the casita's hot water tank and toilet have not worked without a lot of fussing. It was very embarrassing for us to invite guests down and then have them unable to use their shower or toilet. Phoning the caretaker just didn't seem to help. He is holding the place together with slapdash repairs instead of fixing or replacing things. Do bring earplugs. The nightclubs and restaurants on Mexico Ave. resound into the building and play until 1:30a.m. except of course on Fri & Sat when the Mexican club opens its doors. That band plays until 5:30a.m. You get use to it but be warned.

Owner response: Future renters, So sorry for this renters inconvience. I have never had any complaints about my caretaker before, as you can see in other comments.Crispin is usually extremely accomodating! I believe all these problems have been adressed as my current renters have not had any complaints having arrived on Feb 19. I am going to Bucerias in 10 days and will be sure that any further issues will be addressed and completly fixed by the time I return home. As for the bands playing, most people enjoy the flavor of Mexico ! Thank You, Linda

We found Casa Peggy a delightful place to stay. The location is great. We have been to Bucerias many times, in fact we plan to retire there in the near future. Casa Peggy was by far our best rental experience. We enjoyed being able to have our dog there. Bucerias is a very pet friendly town, but not all lodging is. It was also nice being just across the street from the playa and some of our favorite restaurants. Casa Peggy is very private and secure. We will be staying there again.

Casa Peggy was a terrific way to spend a week in the sun. From the moment we walked into the house, we felt right at home, and the Casita was equally comfortable. It was nice to get away from the crowded resorts for a change. We found Casa Peggy had everything we could ask for, and the local caretakers were very accomodating. We could party all day and evening around the private pool or in the house's living area, but we still had the privacy of a bedroom on the second floor of the house and behind the pool in the Casita. It was a truelly perfect setting for two couples to enjoy, or for a small family. After 3 previous trips to the Puerto Vallarta area, this was the most relaxing yet, and I think Casa Peggy was the reason. We would definitely enjoy a return trip to Casa Peggy in the future. Thank you Linda for sharing your Mexican home with us.

My husband, two teenage children, and myself have been to Bucerias twice and the second time we had the pleasure of staying at Casa Peggy. We could not have picked a better place to stay. We instantly fell in love with the house and everything about it. It is definitely a home away from home. It is close to the Bucerias Centro (the center of Bucerias), so the opportunity for adventure is endless. It is a very short distance to the beach, fruit markets, restaurants, and of course shopping. We are returning again this year, and we can't wait. It is so relaxing and comfy that you can just forget your hectic schedules, and relax. Everything is wonderful at Casa Peggy from the house to the pool to the Casita. Linda, thank you for sharing this piece of paradise with us. We hope to continue to stay at Casa Peggy in the future. Thank you.

I just wanted to write and tell you the kids said your home was absolutely beautiful and the surrounding restuarants you recommended were g-r-e-a-t!! They went into town a couple of times, went horseback riding, and snorkeling and swimming with the dolphins for 7 hours. Thank you for allowing me to rent such a wonderful place for them which will give them lasting memories of a wonderful honeymoon. They recommended it highly to my husband and me should we ever decide to brave customs in Mexico again. They took lots of pictures, which I cannot wait to see, especially the stain glass windows. Thanks again, Pam

We have returned home safe and sound and just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed staying at Casa Peggy! You have a real gem there. It was the best place for our 3 and 4 year old children to continue to learn to swim. We also enjoyed the beach but spent most of our swimming time in the perfect pool. It was wonderful to be able to visit the great fish, meat and veggie markets daily. Bucerias is a fabulous place and we now know why Trevor's parents go there for 4-5 monthes every winter. We will definitely keep your name and # in our travel file for another time. We hope we will get to be return visitors! Take care and thanks again.
