This place is so much more spacious than it appears from the front. The lower level with it's 4th bedroom and game room along with a 3rd full bathroom really added to the convenience, as the group was made up of 5 unrelated guys on a retreat. The closets were full of games and I think the home would be great for a group of extended family. Access to the beach is walking distance and there are several restaurants within just a few minutes drive. We recommend the Red Arrow Roadhouse,(Dinner), the Blue Plate café,(breakfast),and Mario's nearby(huge sandwiches) and Viola's, (breakfast or lunch) and the Bistro in 3 Oaks. The owner of the home was prompt to respond to any questions and concerns that we had, and even let us come in advance to look the place over. The guys are looking forward to going back next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I rented the house without knowing much of it's location after the original reservation fell through due to owner's sudden decision to remodel. The other property seemed very cramped and so I was really glad to find Jaime's house. Actually, it was her parent's home for nearly a decade and it totally shows. The house is really well taken care of, nicely furnished and very spacious. The original owners live almost across the street and that gives the house additional security. I rented from other sources and in various spots in Harbor county, but this was nearly ideal location: easy to find, out of the way, but within walking distance to Blue Plate Cafe and in the vicinity of Lakeside Inn, my nostalgic destination... The house met our expectations: the 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs were great and the basement suite (bedroom with 4 beds, bathroom and living room) would be an asset for the visitors with a lot of kids or teens. It worked well for five of us (unrelated individuals) and the price was good for what we got. The owners stopped by twice during 3 day stay, so I felt this was really a nice touch. Will definitely go back again. Thank you!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, girls getaway.

Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: We are Chicago natives who moved to Michigan in 1991. The property has been in our family since the early 1900's. I have spent my summers growing up staying in our summer only cottage. This ranch style house was built in 2003 as a retirement home for my parents and we have since bought it to continue the tradition of spending quality family time in southwestern Michigan.
Why the Owner Chose Lakeside:
This home offers year round protection from the weather with a quiet feel of the woods to take a break from the fun in the sun on the beach. If the weather doesn't cooperate, there is plenty of activities to do in the Harbor Country area for all ages.

The biggest draw is the beach. Lake Michigan beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world. With no salt, clean fine sand, no sea weed or sea creatures to interfere with swimming, sandcastles, sports or just relaxing and watching the sun set.
