Beaufort townhome description
This beautiful townhouse, located in the historic district, is just 3 short blocks from downtown Beaufort. Walk to the Waterfront Park, downtown shops, galleries or a variety of restaurants. Little need for a car. Our home is located on a published walking tour route and horse-drawn carriage tours come within 100 ft of the house.
Bedrooms: The house can sleep six comfortably, with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Two bedrooms are upstairs and one is on the ground floor. The large master bedroom has a queen bed; it also has a single size sleep sofa. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. The ground floor has a bedroom with a very comfortable queen sleep sofa (Tiffany 24/7 Mechanism). If not needed as a bedroom, this room doubles as a den/ office and has a working fireplace. The upstairs bathroom has his & hers sinks as well as a shower/ tub. The downstairs bath has a shower. Washer & dryer are upstairs for convenience.
Living room: The front door leads into a large living room decorated with a coastal theme. The large bay window gives a spacious feeling. Relax in cushioned wicker chairs and sofa. We’ve decorated with pictures and artwork from many places.
Kitchen and eating area: The kitchen is small, but fully equipped and has all appliances. The dining table seats 8.
Deck & backyard: A large deck is great for entertaining or just relaxing. The backyard is fenced and surrounded by trees to provide security and a sense of privacy. Parking is off-street in a dedicated space behind the townhouse. The parking area and back are well-lighted with three streetlights.
Entertainment and communications: The townhouse has DirecTV with two TVs (one is HD). High speed internet is available with a wireless router.
Our home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with private off-street parking. In additions, we feel extra secure because of the 3 streetlights in the back. Walk, jog, or ride bikes through this historic area to see nearby historic churches, beautiful homes, and tree-lined streets. Extra parking is available in the free municipal parking lot just next door. Launch a boat in the Intracoastal Waterway at two near-by public ramps: Beaufort City Marina Landing or Pigeon Point Landing.
Being a military family, we offer a discount to family of graduating Marine Corps recruits. Our townhouse is a great place for you to relax with your graduating Marine. It is located just under 6 miles (10 minutes) from the entrance to US Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island. Our home is convenient to both downtown and Parris Island. The map show the location of our townhouse in Beaufort, and it can be adjusted to show the route to Parris Island down Ribaut Road through the town of Port Royal.

When looking for a place to stay for my sons boot camp graduation, I found this wonderful townhouse. The owners made me feel like a trusted friend invited to visit. The home was clean, well cared for and well appointed. My only disappointment was that we didn't have longer to stay and enjoy.

My family needed a dog-friendly place close to Parris Island and this townhouse was awesome! After driving 11+ hours, we were thrilled to walk into this very clean and comfortable townhouse. It is located on a quiet street only a few blocks from the waterfront and the shops in Beaufort. The 2 bedrooms upstairs are very roomy and the den provided even more space to sleep. The kitchen is small, but it is fully equipped (coffee maker, microwave, toaster, etc.). We brought our new Marine here after graduation and he found it quite comfortable. The owner was very friendly and always accessible. The owner also allowed us to use the prepaid pass to get into Hunting Island state park (this was a huge savings for a family of 6!) I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the fire pit in the back yard!

Home away from home.

Accurately photographed and described in every way, this cozy townhouse was the perfect place to stay for our new Marine's USMC graduation. Within walking distance of the charming village of Beaufort and set amidst historic churches and mansions, it is a history lovers ideal. Comfortable, well equipped, immaculately clean, it met all of our needs for a home away from home. Many thanks to Ed who provided lots of local info and recommendations and made the rental process smooth and seamless.

I think, based upon the other reviews, that we just had bad timing. We arrived late on Saturday evening and there was no key to get in. Thank heavens, the individual that takes care of the area was home. The location is convenient and we enjoyed being able to walk around Beaufort. The condo lacked the cleanliness that was previously reported. Here again, it may have been a fluke. We had six adults and it was a tight fit for us. I believe it is better fit for four adults.

The house was very clean and well maintained. We had everything that you we needed for our stay. The owner was on top of everything. He had detailed lists, menus to local restaurants as well as passes to a nature trail. We came for our son's Marine Bootcamp Graduation and could not have stayed at a better property. Would highly recommend...

We couldn't have had a more perfect location for the shrimp festival! Everything about the listing description, including the photos accurately reflect the rental's appearance and amenities. The property is immaculate and very well maintained. Ed was immensely helpful in every aspect of the rental process and we recommend this property to anyone coming to Beaufort. You can walk to downtown in about 5-8 minutes where numerous restaurants and shops abound. Be sure to check out Plums for oysters and Common Grounds for latte's and a slice of their lemon cake with marscipone cheese and blueberries! We are planning to talk with Ed about securing this property for the shrimp festival next year!

This townhouse had it all! Not only was it spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly want or need, it was also just a short stroll past historical homes and churches to get to the restaurants, shops, and marina. My husband and I had a wonderful time in Beaufort, and each day began and ended in this lovely townhouse, on a quiet residential street. Ed was very accommodating and willing to do whatever was needed to make our stay enjoyable - we will be back!

My family had an amazing stay in this condo. It was so comfortable and relaxing. We drove 17 hours and the landlord was so kind as to allow us to check in early and check out late (only because no one was there right before or after us). He was extremely kind and answered all questions in a timely manner. I am recommending this place to the families I know who are traveling to Parris Island Marine Graduation. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

Loved the area, and this townhome is in a wonderful location as far as being able to walk downtown to shops and restaurants, and is in a neighborhood full of beautiful homes and churches. Great neighborhood to stroll through. The house was very comfortable, especially the bed, and the yard and deck very inviting. There were only two of us, but this would be good place for a family to stay. The owners were easy to work with, very nice and accommodating. The area is interesting and the close-by islands offer beautiful scenery and good food. We would stay there again if we go back down to the area.

About the owner: With roots in South Carolina, we have spent most of our careers outside the South. Ed was in the military and Mary taught at the elementary school level. We have vacationed on the South Carolina coast for as long as we can remember. When we discovered Beaufort and the sea islands, we knew this was the place. We are eager to be back and bought this townhouse as a vacation home. We are offering our vacation home to others. We are new to offering a listing on VRBO, but have used it many times as vacationers.
Why the Owner Chose Beaufort:
For several summers, we visited the Beaufort area and stayed in different locations (e.g., Ladys Island, Port Royal, Parris Island Gateway area, Pigeon Point, and near downtown.) We discovered that nothing beats the convenience and simplicity of being so close to downtown and the waterfront. When crowded events occur along the waterfront, we never have to worry about parking (or a designated driver ). Shopping, restaurants, strolling the marina, the public library, and the Post Office are all just a few blocks away. You might be able to avoid driving all week, except for all the adventures waiting in the surrounding South Carolina Sea Islands. For day trips, try locations such as Charleston, Savannah, Hilton Head, or Walterboro. If you're going towards Charleston, we really enjoyed the Charleston Tea Plantation; it was fun taking the tour and learning how tea is grown and produced. Walterboro is a favorite place both for its antique shops and its artists' shops.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
Our townhouse is an end unit which we particularly like. Extra windows on the side give it a more spacious feel with lots of light. The raised deck is our favorite space because it is a natural extension of the living space and because the tall lattice fence and trees give a real feeling of privacy. In addition, the back yard (56 x 30 ft) is fully enclosed. The neighborhood is very quiet. Surrounded by churches (Episcopal, Presbyterian, Baptist), Sunday morning is the only time when it's busy. During the week, the only interruptions are the hourly church bells from St Helena's Episcopal Church (but only during the day.)
