This property truly has a million dollar view yet affordable to all. It's all about location. You must see the beautiful sunsets. New owners have totally redecorated. Very clean with all the amenities.
Enjoy the extended porch as you watch dolphin and sailboats or wading birds feeding in the marsh grasses. Total water views to Kiawah and James Island from the living area, kitchen, and master bedroom. Located very close to the beach but without the tourist and noise. Our quiet unit is walking distance to the beach, although you may choose to drive or rent bikes for your stay.
This island condominium will slow you down and make you relax. It is all you need to unwind. Nothing has been overlooked. Owners take pride in providing a very clean unit with comfortable beds, plush towels, and many extras. Romantic for a couples retreat, family vacation, or girls/guys get away. Enjoy the large pool, tennis courts, or rent a marina slip for convenience.
This is a perfect place for Citadel and College of Charleston parents to stay for visits and graduations. Visit Folly Beach and nearby Charleston for the many festivals and celebrations or visit the many historical plantations and forts. The music is always wonderful at Folly Beach or check out The Pour House and Charleston Music Hall. You may also enjoy the nearby shopping in Charleston or outlets. Staying in this beautiful condo made our vacation perfect. The owner goes out of her way to leave all conveniences. The bed was so comfortable.In addition there is a balcony facing the river and marsh where my husband and I enjoyed our first cup of coffee in the morning. The condo is just a hop, skip, and jump to downtown Folly. The owner left a binder full of recomendations of restaurants in the area and downtown Charleston. We definitely plan on returning!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We have family in the Folly Beach area and sometimes need another location in which to stay. This condo was perfect and lived up to the photos and listing description. It is located in a quiet area of Mariners Cay with beautiful views of the marsh and water. The condo was beautifully decorated and very clean. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything one would need. And last, but certainly not least, the owner was wonderful to work with. Emails and inquiries were promptly answered. Information provided for entering condo was concise and easy to follow. I would highly recommend this condo to friends and relatives. In fact, I hope to make this our "go to condo" for future visits to the area! On a last note, don't miss Rita's and especially The Lost Dog for breakfast in Folly. We also enjoy The Mustard Seed and Melvin's Barbecue. Plan your visit now!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

What a vacation this was! Every morning as I entered the living area, the beautiful marsh/ocean view was the first thing I saw ... Through the "room wide" window/door that opens to the porch. I could sit out there all day with my coffee and/or book or girlfriends drinking wine and having great conversations!! The decor was clean, colorful and "uplifting" with everything I needed! Although I could have just stayed on the porch my whole stay, I couldn't pass up the short walk to town for brunch, next on to the beach, with cocktails around the fire at the Blue, and a delicious dinner in Charleston that night. What could be better??Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Gorgeous view, pictures can't do it justice, particularly the sunsets. Condo was well decorated, well equipped kitchen, and the condo was immaculate. Perfect location to enjoy Folly, the beach, and short drive to Charleston. Plenty of great restaurants in Folly as well as tons in Charleston. Owner was great to work with and very helpful. Great place to stay and would definitely recommend. !Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This is a beautiful, comfortable condo. It is decorated with much care and taste! The views are not exaggerated by the owners - they are wonderful! Sunsets can't be beat anywhere on Folly Beach. The place is clean and has everything you need. Mariner's Cay is a great complex - the pool is amazing - olympic size - our grandchildren LOVE it and we all spend hours there in spring, summer and fall. The walk or drive to the beach is easy....Charleston is just as accessible - really, an easy 15 minute drive to downtown. I recommend this condo to anyone....we enjoy it and know you will too!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Why the Owner Chose Mariners Cay:
We spent 15 years exploring where to purchase a vacation home that may some day become our retirement home.
Folly Beach offers the location to 'check all our boxes' ...gorgeous beach, boating, Charleston history and shopping. Tourist love it! Yet Folly is a quiet, quaint bohemian town where locally owned resturants and great music venues are found on every corner and side street!
Every season offers festivals and celebrations in Folly and Charleston. From January to December we find plenty to do!! Check out the calendar of events on line.
Folly is located only 5 hours from our home in TN so we can visit often!! But choosing this condo to buy was all about falling in love with the views!!!

We enjoy cooking seafood while we are in Folly and have found that Crosby's Seafood (10 minutes down the road) has the best fresh seafood to buy. The Piggly Wiggly just minutes away) has affordable lobster and crab legs that they will cook ahead for you to pick up and take to the condo for dinner!
Children of all ages love the swimming pool - it's big and clean with convenient bathrooms. They also may love to go to the Water Park on James Island or to the children's attractions in Charleston.
We enjoy driving over to the Mt. Pleasant/Sullivan's Island area (less than 20 minutes away) to visit Ft. Moltrie. You may enjoy eating at one of the many great restaurants on Shem's Creek while watching the boats go by.
Our favorite place to be on the beach is near the Pier. There are clean bathrooms, nice restaurants, an outdoor bar at Tides hotel, life guards, beach chairs and jet skis to rent, etc.
At the condo, we have an owner's dock where you might like to meet people while sitting in the evening watching for the dolphins to swim by. You can also leave crab traps hanging off this dock for later harvest! There is an easy launch area for kayaks and canoes for paddling around the river and nearby creeks. You may bring your own or rent knee boards or windsail vessels. If you bring your boat just let me know ahead and we can arrange a place to park the trailer. You can also find boat rentals in our notebook of information at the condo.
Of course you could enjoy riding your bikes or rent for the week. we love to ride to the beach, on the beach and in the neighborhoods on the island.
Whatever you do...don't miss the lighthouse walk on the nature beach at the end of Folly Beach. And of course save time to RELAX on our porch!!!
