Wished we could have stayed longer
We were very pleased with our stay in this Airstream! Very clean and cute, with everything you could want. It is in a very secure location. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, but not intrusive at all. There were beautiful cacti all around and a 270 degree view. Could see both sunrise and sunset from patio. And the STARS! Perfect for a QUIET and private place to sleep and have coffee in the morning. The air conditioner worked well. Fully stocked kitchen, even spices. The towels were excellent. Plenty of hot water. The bathroom is small, of course, so if you are very tall or very big, might not work for you. It was fine for us. The drive up there is pretty. I would definitely return if I can. It might be OK for one small child, but basically it is best for two adults. Lots of storage closets. It was a LOT of fun!!! Thank you Susan!

If you sail, this airstream is the right property for you! A place for everything and every thing in it's place. Complete with TV and air conditioning! Clean and cute with a beautiful out door terrace overlooking the lights of the city. Watch the sun rise as you sip your coffee in the morning and the sun set at the end of a busy day surrounded by the beautiful flora and fauna of the Santa Catlina foothills. Definitely the best location in Tucson not to mention the best deal! Close to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and hiking. Very easy to get to. The owner was very organized and communication after booking, fantastic. We even were presented with a bottle of wine upon arrival. As a first time VRBO user I was impressed with the ease of the transaction. Things to do: There's an abundance of hiking in the Tucson area. If you want to do something close by, the Pima Canyon trail is just up the road. This 7.5 mile trail offers the opportunity to hike among abundant wild flowers and the saguaro's. You don't have to go far for great views. If you're interested is plants, The Tohono Chul Park, a botanical garden is also very close. Check out their nursery in the event you have the desire to take a cacti home or eat at their charming restaurant.... get there early, it's a popular place and there will be a wait. The Saguaro National Park and Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum are on the west side of Tucson, a 45 minute drive through the hills. If you plan to hike there go early, it's very exposed and hot even in early April. The museum is a great place to take kids, it's contained with walkways and plenty of animals exhibits. The restaurant at the museum is also very good and a pleasant break from the sun. History buff? Stop off at Pima Air and Space Museum east of town or the Titan Missile Museum south of the city. Best restaurants we went to: Wildflower in the Casa Adobes Plaza again close by. Try their scallops with forbidden rice, fantastic! Cafe Poca Cosa a "neuvelle Mexican" restaurant down town order the Plato Poca Cosa which gives you a selection of several things. High end Italian, Vivace also in the foot hills is very good. Reservations are advised at the above mentioned restaurants! 4 days hardly enough time, I would suggest at least seven days in the area or more. We will return!

Excellent hub for the many things we did, including Desert Museum, Sabino Canyon, Agua Caliente, provisioning in Tucson (Trader Joe's nearby), attempting to go to U Art Museum (bad day to choose -- a playoff game day!) Very clean space, nice, quiet property with great SW plantings, and birds! Too cold that week to try out the pool. A way to try out "full-timing" without having to tow or pull, and a great way to escape motel-fever. Sharing small space is good! (We travel with a container of things a kitchen rental may not have -- this unit could use a cooking pan with a long handle -- short-handled aluminum cookware get too hot over a gas flame.)

Very cozy, clean space. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to city. Well supplied kitchen, bath. Nice patio area. Great way to experience a stay in an Airstream trailer. Owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I used this space as a home base for riding many of the local mountain bike trails.
