Hood River bungalow description
Walking distance to fantastic coffee shops, restaurants, a great tap room and a fantastic park for kids, this house is a great place to get away and see the sights of Hood River. Although there is no spectacular view, the quiet neighborhood makes a great place to get that much needed rest before hitting the waterfront, mountain or wineries. The house is set up with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living space on the first level. The basement offers a small bedroom, bathroom and TV room with room to stretch out. Want a place to store your toys? We have a small secure shed for your bikes, boards, ski's, kites or whatever items you don't want in your way in the house. In addition, two parking spots are designated for this home right in front for easy access.

Don't hesitate renting this place. So much better than staying in a hotel! A retreat for sure.

Owner response: Thanks Natalie! Glad you enjoyed your stay.
The bungalow was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed being a short drive to the river front parks, the downtown area and to mountain bike trails. There also was a good Mexican food place and ice cream shop within walking distance as well as an organic deli, where we bought some local salmon to bbq on the outdoor grill on the nice grass lawn. One small gripe, but we couldn't locate any grilling utensils in the house, though we made due with some camping equipment that we had brought. I'm guessing they are located in one of the adjacent homes on the same property, which also can be rented. I'd recommend the place and would consider the larger homes for a bigger group.

Great vacation rental!
Great vacation rental!
We had an excellent stay at the C Street Bungalow during our visit to Hood River. The house is really cute and has all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 6 of us stayed and had plenty of room - the rental seemed more spacious than what the pictures online made it look like. The outdoor storage was perfect for our mountain bikes. The owner, Kate was very responsive to questions I had during the reservation process and leading up to our stay. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and cost efficient stay in Hood River!

Such a great little house! We fit six adults comfortably and appreciated the kitchen amenities. Being able to store our mountain bikes in the shed was a great bonus. I highly recommend this house for your stay in Hood River.

We loved our stay at this cute little bungalow. It's very cozy, well appointed, and in a quiet neighborhood. The home is close to town, walking distance to great coffee, bakery and restaurants. Also very close to Jackson park. The house is in the heights so it's a great spot to take off and enjoy a bike ride into wine country. And for the more adventurous mt. bikers with us, they were easily able to ride to Post Canyon for an epic Mt. Bike ride. Our friends rented the "C" Street Retreat behind the "C" Street Bungalow, it was a perfect vacation to have our own place but still vacation with our friends. We loved our stay and our weekend in Hood River, we'll definitely be back!

About the owner: We are huge fans of Hood River and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to share a vacation home with you all. In July, 2012, we purchased this home and remodeled much of the inside to meet the needs of a cozy vacation home. Having a place to stay in Hood River has been a dream of ours for quite some time. Ryan and I (Kate) grew up in Southern Oregon, attended a small high school, Glide High, and made our way to Oregon State University. As high school sweethearts, we married during college and began our busy life together. We now reside in Beaverton Oregon and are enjoying our new family life as first time parents.
Why the Owner Chose Hood River:
Why rent this property? If you are looking for a quiet, cozy home with all the home-like amenities, this is your kind of rental. The character that comes with a 1910 house is also enjoyable.
