  This property is excellent and the management company looking after this condo couldn't be more accomodating. I would recommend this condo to couples and groups of 3. The condo might get a little crowded with 4 people. Overall, great experience. We would definitely stay here again!

  Wonderful condo overlooking the mountains. The property manager (Graham) is on site and very helpful. The beach is excellent on the property. You can even do snorkeling on the beach. Close to Lahaina town center. The restaurant on site has excellent tasting menu at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this condo. Can't wait to come back.

  My wife and I stayed at this location for 10 nights, and we did not regret a thing. ==Room== The room was extremely clean, and had every amenity you would need. The kitchen is fully stocked, and I dare anyone to make use of everything available. All large appliances were state of the art Bosch brand appliances, and Cuisinart small appliances. Washer and dryer are of the energy-saving variety. The bathroom is very sleek and very clean with soaps and shampoos. Bath towels and beach towels are provided. The living room was very comfortable, with one of the walls opening up to expose your entire room to the outside breeze. The only potential downside to this particular room would be the view, which is a mountain view with a relatively busy road between yourself and the mountain. Sunsets need to be enjoyed by the beach which is a very short walk and connected to the property, however mountain sunrises have their own charm. ==Resort== The Honua Kai is great for families. Dukes is a very convenient place to go for any meal or casual drinks. The bartenders and staff are very friendly, and you must try the Hula Pie. The cafe on site, Aina, can be a bit pricey but has great coffee and smoothies. The beach attached to the property is a great place to splash around, get a tan, or watch the sunset between Lana'i and Molaka'i (make sure you take your camera for this). The resort is great for almost all groups. I would advise couples or anyone looking for a romantic time that you may not get the seclusion that you'd like, the Honua Kai seems to be very popular with families with young children, and you will see many running around. However, opportunity for romance are plentiful else on Maui. ==Location== If you look at Google Maps, you might think that this location is far from many major attractions like Haleakala National Park and the Road to Hana. The distance is not very far, and starting your day with a coastal drive around Hwy 30 is not a bad way to start the day. Aside from the major attractions, the immediate area around the resort has many great locations and restaurants. There is a grocery store within walking distance. West Maui has many terrific beaches as well. ==Overall== This is a fantastic, modern, well supplied room in a great resort. You may need to drive 40+ minutes to get to some of the attractions on the island, but the upside is you get to go home and unwind on the beach for the sunset. Highly Recommended.

  This property was the perfect place for our first vacation with our infant. Flying for the first time was stressful enough, so it was nice that we didn't have to worry about a thing for our lodging. Everything in the condo is as described and pictured - new construction in a high end property with really nice, well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, high chair available, very clean and well maintained inside. The walls are thick - we didn't hear a peep from neighbors so were assured when our jetlagged baby was waking up crying at odd hours during the night. We also knew we were going to be spending a lot of time inside for nap times, so it was great to have the lanai to relax on. The resort grounds are so awesome too - great (baby friendly) pools, beautiful landscaping, Duke's right on premises, beach and boardwalk right next to pools, BBQ for resident use. Huge pluses are also walkable markets (Times supermarket and Farmers market) that have baby supplies. The cherry of this ice cream sundae was working with Graham. He answered all my questions not just about the property, but also about Maui travel as well. He went above and beyond by providing a random request (i.e., we needed an air pump). He met us upon arrival and was thorough in showing us all the amenities, and let us know to call if we had any questions. As a new parent, it was very reassuring to know there was a local available as a resource and that it was someone as friendly as Graham was a bonus! Thanks Graham! Highly recommend this rental!

  We absolutely loved this resort and unit. Our experience from the beginning to end was WONDERFUL! The property is immaculate inside and out. Love all the gas grills provided outside by pool area and Dukes is right there with nightly live music. Honestly, we didn't leave much because when we come to Maui, we like to relax because we lead a busy pace back on the mainland. Our unit was well appointed with almost all the amenities you'd expect in a higher end resort. If we needed anything, the PM was on it. He even carried our bags upon arrival and departure. I'd highly recommend this unit if your looking for an immaculate, quiet and comfortable unit. Although the ocean view is minimal, there is a slice from the Lanai but we didn't feel deprived at all...we had views of lovely rainbows on the West Maui Mountains right off our lanai. Can't wait to go back and we will be staying here again!

  I have stayed at Honua Kai with my wife and two children and enjoyed immensly while staying there. This was our first visit to Maui and undoubtedly the stay there was the most memorable one. Once we arrived we were greeted and treated so well that we will never forget that!! They have made our check-in process very easy for us, took us to the parking basement, showed us the rented unit and explained in details, helped us with luggage and spent so much time in answering all the questions and making sure we have all the comforts we need that we loved the place immediately. The unit had everything we needed, WiFi, everything you expect in the kitchen, nice bedroom, the couch, all the magazines and brochures that you need (we loved "Maui Revealed" book so much that we took it in every trip we made and followed it's recommendtions) and has a great mountain VIEW. We loved the beach of the property, the pools, Dukes restaurant, kids water activities, and water slides and BIG the lobby. The environment was very friendly and you get all the help you need from the concierge! We were able to watch whales from the beach of this property!! And my kids loved the place very much. We went to all site seeing places very conveniently from this property. I would definitely recommend this place.
