My husband and I spent a month in this lovely beach house in Surfside, SC while we were house hunting in nearby Pawleys Island. The home is beautifully appointed, tastefully furnished and has a great kitchen that has plenty of dishes, silverware and cookware for meal preparation. We celebrated a great holiday season there and even had the chance to enjoy the Surfside Christmas Parade from our upstairs balcony! Surfside is convenient to both Myrtle Beach to the north and Pawleys Island to the south -- and not far from Charleston. There are plenty of things to do, whether it is entertainment or just relaxing. We especially enjoyed the "5,000 Lights" holiday program at Brookgreen and the Fresh Market in Pawleys. The home's owners are great to work with. We found a home in the area and will be moving from Iowa to SC this spring! Thanks, VRBO!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Great vacation house- accesiblilty is perfect for being across the street from the beach!

This place is really nice- one of the cleanest places we have been in. We are here now and enjoying a great vacation with the family!! I highly recommend this place.

This has to be one of the best places on the strip. The photos are, as the house is, no changes. It's clean, nice and close to the beach. We liked it so much we are having trouble going to another place that’s right on the beach for fear that it will not be as nice. What to do, what to do? Cross the street and love where you lay, or roll the dice on the beach and gamble the vacation away, hummm?

This beach house is spectacular in every way. It's beautifully decorated, spacious, bright and comfortable. The location is perfect as far as beach access and availability of entertainment. Our experience with the owners was very positive. I highly recommend the Burd House for your family vacation!
