Thank you for renting the Sugarbush lodge to my group for our 9th Annual girls weekend! The lodge accommodated the 19 of us very well with room to spare. The lodge is very nice and modern, yet still has the up north cabin feel to it. The double kitchens were great. No problem cooking a very large thanksgiving dinner, and having a table to seat all of us! I would reccomend this lodge to any large families in the summer months as well as ladies looking for a weekend away with the girls!

Alexandria and Lake Geneva are an excellent vacation spot. Tim and Caroline are great to work with! Totally new vacation home with a great location. Lots of great places to eat in the area. Try the walleye at Rudy's or the BBQ chicken pizza at Zorbaz.

About the owner: Growing up on a lake in MN, I always wanted to return to this area and live on a lake again. My husband grew up on the plains of MT. After meeting at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, we spent some time in ND and MT, and finally returned to lake country in MN. We have lived in Alexandria for over 25 years, and our two children (and now 1 grandchild) love to come home and spend quality time on the lake.
Why the Owner Chose Alexandria:
We have lived on Lake Geneva for over 16 years, and we own the resort located next to Sugarbush Lodge. We have always wanted to own the lodge, as it sits directly on the site of the original buildings of the resort. Geneva Beach Resort is the oldest resort north of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. By renovating and preserving this lodge, we are keeping the rich history of the resort.
The Unique Benefits at this Lodge:
Sugarbush Lodge is not located directly on resort property, but it is next door, and has access to the many amenities of the resort, such as the water trampoline, kayaks, paddle boats, and paddle boards. The lodge is on a very large, secluded lot, and families can enjoy their own private dock, 2 campfire areas, and a lodge that is spacious (5,600 sq ft) and uniquely decorated with an upnorth lodge feel.
