We had a fantastic week at Casa al Duomo. This was my 6th visit toTaormina and it was the best, The apartment was first class and you could just imagine what it would be like to live there. It was well equipped with everything that you would need, it was pure luxury and comfort. The apartment is so central to all the amenities in Taormina all within walking distance. I cannot praise it enough. The owner Fabio answers any problems or quieries quickly and efficiently. And Guisseppe who met us on arrival was a lovely man. I have reccomended this property to all I know. It is of a very high standard. And when I choose to visit Taormina again I would hope to stay here. A fantastic week.Did you find this review helpful? This was our first experience using HomeAway/Holiday-Rentals and had no problems. The owner answered all our questions in a timely matter. My husband and I travelled with our 9 month old son and they were able to provide a baby cot for us. The location was amazing right in one of the main squares ‘Piazza al Duomo’ and seconds away from all the shopping you could ever want. I think one of the nicest features was the balcony that over looked the square, which is narrow but long, but has enough space to sit and watch all the beautiful weddings as we drank our wine. Vines and flowers surrounded the balcony, which made it really pretty. The apartment was clean and very big, two bathrooms one shower and one tub great for travel with kids. The only negative is they had a lot of breakable objects so we had to remove and replace at end of trip so our son didn’t damage anything. The kitchen is well equipped and linens and towels included. When we arrived we were met by a representative for the owner, which speaks English for those who don’t speak Italian. Both the owner and the representative provided us with very useful information especially the great take away restaurant Da Cristina right next door. There is a public parking garage not far, for those with a car. Although the squares can get noisy the rooms are at the back of the apartment so we never had any issues. This apartment was great overall and I would highly recommend it for those wanting to be right in the heart of Taormina.Owner response: Thank you Tania for you review, I'm so happy to hear that you had a great time in our beautiful home. This was our first experience using HomeAway/Holiday-Rentals and we have been very pleased from start to finish. The owner responded promptly both to our first contact, and to subsequent emails. One of our party requires crutches, so the choice of where to stay in this hill town was important. The owner was most helpful and entirely honest in providing detail of the apartment and its approaches. The location on the square a few metres from the main street was ideal. We had anticipated that such a central location would be noisy; in fact all the surrounding area is pedestrian only, so youth on noisy motorbikes were excluded! The apartment was presented in very clean condition with beds prepared, and towels etc. as described. We arrived late Sunday evening, and were met by a representative for the owner, who could not have been more helpful. Both the owner and the representative provided us with very useful "local knowledge" to ensure that we made the most of our stay. The apartment is clearly a family holiday home and as such has accumulated a lot of interesting art objects and pictures. I would therefore hesitate to recommend to families with boisterous young, if the parents want to relax! On the other hand we four adults found the two en-suite bedrooms and living space perfectly comfortable, well equipped with everything working as intended. In summary this apartment worked perfectly for us as a base for exploring the Eastern side of Sicily during the day, with Taormina providing all the interest we required each evening.Did you find this review helpful?
