quiet on the ocean side. steps from surfing or snorkeling. Very convenient. Home away from home. 2nd bedroom needs to be checked out (funny smell) Otherwise, all was good and I would stay again.

The townhouse was exactly what our family was looking for. The close proximity to the ocean let all the surfers and paddle boarders play whenever they got out of the lawn chairs. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean, although the microwave didn't work, which was unfortunate. The space was adequate for 6 adults and the ocean breeze plus air conditioning was great. We would all stay there again. The view from the master bedroom was just short of heaven and although I wake up to mountains in the morning, I miss that view of the ocean; oh, and did I mention the whales from the lanai!

Great location, wonderful oceanfront exposure within walking distance to Lahaina! Weather is usually better here than in Kaanappali or farter north in Kapalua. Would gladly go back, and most likley will. Very well appointed property, almost everything you will need. Beach is quite rocky not sand but not an issue for us. Would have liked to have a propane bbq vs.the charcoal weber. Hightly recommend!

Overall, this was a nice unit. The downstairs area is well furnished and there is plenty of room. The lanai table is very nice as well. Wireless internet is available, which was great since we all had iPads. There are lots of beach towels as well as bathroom towels. The master bath shower has been nicely remodeled. There is a fairly new microwave and oven. The refrigerator is huge, and everything we needed in the kitchen was there. Great BBQ, and having the outdoor shower was perfect after a walk on the beach. There are some things that need attention that would have made it much better. Generally, it needs a deep cleaning and some home improvement. I felt a need to mop the kitchen floor, entry floor and half bath downstairs the day we arrived. All the floors were sticky. The baseboards in the half bathroom were extremely dirty. (Can't help looking when you are sitting in there.) Also some baseboards and walls in the kitchen were very dirty with dripped "something" on them. The walls and banisters going upstairs have been really banged up. A new coat of paint is necessary. One last thing is that the master bedroom bed is VERY soft. That is just a personal preference--too soft for us. It sounds like I am being picky, but we talked to a few other vacationers in nearby units and they were paying quite a bit less per day than we were. We felt we were paying more for a unit that needs some TLC. One thing that would have been a nice addition is some beach chairs to take to to area swimming beaches.

Just returned and would do anything to be there right now. Home was perfect for us. Patio just steps from the sand, perfect weather, whale watching from our patio. Master bedroom with large picture window...waking up staring at the beautiful ocean. We'll stay here again for sure. Home well maintained and updated.

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of staying at this home. Just a few steps from the beach and away from all the noise but close to restaurants and Lahaina for walks into town. We will definitely rent this unit again. Perfect for 6 people. Beach in front of property is very narrow but just steps down is plenty of space to set up chairs, etc. Whale watching from the patio and best weather we have had on our trips to Hawaii. Can't wait to return.

We loved everything about the condo. It was well stocked with everything to make it an enjoyable experience. We liked that it was at the far end of the complexes as it was quieter there. We loved the big grassy area by the ocean too. We were 6 adults and there was lots of room for everyone.

What an amazing home! We celebrated my best friends 40th birthday Aug 20th - 27th 2011 with a total of 7 adults. The complex was located in just the right spot, so close to Lahaina we walked many times during our week, the grounds were picture perfect and the home, well it had everything we needed. Very clean fully stocked with towels and the essentials, only 1 trip to Costco and we were set for the week, The beach within 25 steps was just amazing with the sunsets! Thank you so much for an amazing vacation home away from home! I am sure we will be back again soon!
Owner response:Mahalo for staying at our home. I am so glad you enjoyed your visit. We look forward to having you back. Robin

We stayed for a week in July, 2011 and certainly liked the view - but after a few days, we discovered it was mice-infested, having to kill 4. And while the front door has a fancy keypad, the half bath window next to it was busted and could not be closed plus the 1970's style glass doors offer minimal security. The owner offered her apology but didn't do anything about it. This is just one of many properties they own I assume and we renters get screwed! DO NOT RENT!
Owner response:I wish that this guest had contacted me while he was at my home regarding these issues. I had spoken with him about a problem he had with the internet which was fixed immediately. He did not mention any other problems. Mice are sometimes a problem in Maui. Although we have not had problems in the past I would most definitely have had an exterminator right out. Had I been told of the broken window it could have been fixed during their stay. We have owned this home for 8 years and despite the "70's style glass doors" (which are only a few years old) we have never had any problem with security. Please see the many positive comments regarding home.

The view was as advertised! Lovley. We hated to leave. You can't get any closer to the ocean unless you sleep on a boat! The house has everything you could want right at your fingertips. We were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities. The house was very clean and nicely furnished. Located within walking distance to Lahaina. The only complaint was from our family sleeping in the second bedroom, the matress was uncomfortable!

Our 40th Anniversary family vacation turned out AWSOME!!!!! Thanks to Robin and her wonderful Maui Condo. Robin always responded pleasantly and promptly to our phone calls when we had questions. The condo was extremely clean and everything in its place with plenty of extras that made our stay more comfortable than a hotel. The location was wonderful to hop off to all the beaches and downtown Lahina. Our sons rented surf boards and were up to the challenge for a week of surfing in our front yard. Our grandkids loved chasing geckos, running on the grass, digging in the sand, learning to hold their breaths in the pools and just having fun in the sun. I liked just laying in a lawn chair getting a suntan. My wife liked the quiet time of the morning and enjoying breakfast outside on the patio overlooking the ocean view.

I travel frequently and I have visited more than 50 countries all over the world including many exotic places such as Australia, Martinique, the Bahamas and Zanzibar. With such extensive experience I wasn't prepared to be as captivated by such wonderful atmosphere of Maui and Puamana as I was. I stayed in this property for 8 nights with two of my best friends, and this was clearly one of the best weeks in my life. From the very first moment we all enjoyed the peaceful location, breathtaking views and the high quality of the property. The house is fully equipped, all you need is the plane ticket and driving licence. The Puamana village is clean and well-maintained and in a perfect location in Lahaina, just outside the town, in a convenient walking distance (15 min). We rented a car for the whole stay and drove around the whole island. With that local knowledge, if we had to chose an accommodation again, we would definitely stay at Puamana, because of the superb location and the beauty of the surroundings. If you are somebody who appreciates a peaceful location surrounded by swaying palms and sounds of waves, yet close to all the attractions available at Lahaina, there is no better place on Maui than Puamana.

We have stayed at 5 oceanfront units in Puamana and continue to be amazed by the breathtaking vista from the lanai. This property is on the south end of Puamana and is nice because you get less foot-traffic in the common space between the property and the ocean. The lanai is a serene setting to sip your morning coffee in the morning or your frozen margarita at sunset! One suggestion I'd make is to replace the chaise lounges to ensure the ultimate in recumbant relaxation. Robin was very proactive and organized in her communication. We will be back!

this property is exactly as advertised. We had four adults and four children and there was lots of room. The view, the gated community facilities, the condo, everything was exceptional. Waking up to whales and sea lions (i think) everyday was absolutely amazing. The location is very central - we went to beaches both north and south and the short walk/drive into the Lahaina shops is great. It is excellent place to learn how to surf or paddle board. For a family vacation it is by far the best place we have ever gone. The only snag we ran into were the directions - we flew in very late at night and the street signs are impossible to see. I would suggest GPS if available. Robin is very accomodating and very reasonable to deal with. This is the first time we have used VRBO and if every experience is this good we will definately become regulars.

Our family loved your beautiful condo in Puamana. What a great place to take kids...safe...surf right out your door...beautiful sunsets. Our grandkids loved being able to walk out and put their boards in the water and surf and swim the turtles. The condo came equipped with everything needed to enjoy your vacation. We cooked every meal there and had plenty of cookware, dishes, utensils. We also loved that it was safe for our kids to be out playing in the front. Puamana is one of the best secrets on Maui. Even our brother-in-law from Hilo thought it was by far the best place he had been for families. The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed and the view...on my...the view! We will be back and have recommended this place to anyone wanting to go to Maui with their family.

We had our daughter's wedding in Lahaina, with the reception at Robin's beautiful condo where the bride's family stayed. The views are unbelievable and the closeness to the water's edge unobtainable in the islands, of late.....all in a gated community. The pre and post-wedding pictures taken on this property are just unbelievable. This was our 33rd year in this area and never found anything close to this overall package. It felt as if it was our own home. Robin is gratious, honest, and very lucid in her business transactions and in her descriptions of the property. By the way, the other side of the family wished that they had allowed us to arrange their accomodatons after the ocean sunset, water's-edge wedding reception experience. Stay here and do yourself a favor. My only complaint is that this condo is filled so frequently that it is difficult for us to retain it for our yearly visit. Believe me......there are multiple reasons for this. Did I mention the exceptionally accomodating property-security and club house personel ? Aloha, Tropical Montana

Nice Home but we came home one day to find a red measuring tape on the counter it stood out like a blinking light and some things were moved out of the window like someone was measuring for window blinds I would never have sent any one into my vacation rental without the renters permission A few days later we had the terminex man show up to spray for bugs we had to send him away if you want to spray for bugs do it on your time like between 10:00 & 4:00 on your cleaning day we paid a lot of money for your house and to have an experience like that was not a good feeling
Owner response: I wish that I had been advised of the issues with this guest while they were at our home. We always try to schedule work on our home when it is empty however it is not always possible. We have an on site property manager that is always available as well to handle any problems or concerns.

My family and I just enjoyed a wonderful vacation on the island of Maui. Our stay at Puamana was fabulous. The condo was located right on the water with beautiful ocean views and plenty of space for all six of us. We had everything that we needed right at our fingertips. I especially enjoyed watching the picturesque sunsets each evening from the lani. The resort grounds and pools were just as terrific. Everything moved along smoothly and efficiently with APVR from the moment I made the arrangements up until the time we completed our vacation. I would highly recommend APVR to anyone, and I look forward to returning next year. A special thanks to Robin and Matt for allowing us to enjoy paradise in such great fashion

"This was the first time I rented a vacation home on line and I was a little worried that this might be at worst, a scam or if I would be getting a little grass hut when I got over there. Rest assured, I am a real person, who rented this home for 7 days, and it was everything that was advertised. I had no problem with the whole experience, it was delightful and enjoyable. This was the best of the 6 vacations in Maui I have ever had. Robin, the owner, was helpful with all the details and very professional. Things went so well that I didn’t need to contact her Maui manager contact for anything. Thanks Robin. This property offers way more privacy than Hotels or Resorts. The 6-plex Townhouse we stayed at is the 1st of the 6 units you come to, just 20 steps to your cars parking under a car port. The Townhouse is at the end of the road, which means more privacy. All the photos & amenities on their web site are accurate; they even had boogie boards that were not mention. The AC is real quiet (remote outdoor type), you hardly know it is on. I am a Contractor and I would class this unit as a high end up scale unit. (The AC, lighting and controls, all counter tops, floors, cabinets and decor are high end) There was plenty of room for us (4 adults and 2 kids). There was plenty of water activity to view and enjoy from the lanai such as Surfers from morning to night, cruise ships, the Atlantis sub and night dinner cruises ships with their decks all lit up reflecting on the water at night. The beach is sandy with mixed small black lava rocks, no problem swimming and playing in the water even for the kids. The kids loved the pools too. The walk to down town Lahaina was too long for us. (our bad back) It was 1.4 miles from the unit to the Banyan tree. The only negative comment is the bedroom on the land side was noisy due to the Honoapillani Hwy on the other side of the trees and fence. If you are not use to vehicle noise keep your window closed or the noise could bother you. (It didn’t bother me because I had the bedroom on the water side. :) I would rent this home again and I have already told family and friends of this wonderful vacation spot.

The community itself is very quite and beautiful, just what we were looking for. It was jut my husband and me but a family or two couples could be very comfortable. We couldn't have found a better place. I suggest you get groceries on your way in, maybe at the Costco or WalMart near the airport.

Loved the quaint club house ; and the added space it provided for a bit of quiet time. We had relatives/friends renting 272-5 also so we could not have asked for a better location. Bill, Sally, Ned & Ben stayed in this beautiful ocean front town house for 10 nights in February, 2008 and we absolutely loved every minute of the time spent in Maui. This place is right on the water and in walking distance to downtown Lahaina. This was not our first trip to Maui but when we go back we want to stay here again. This was our fourth trip to Maui and we absolutely love the Lahaina area. Robin and Rick's condo is ideally located in the Puamana community within walking distance of downtown. We LOVED this condo. It's clean, spacious and within 25 feet of the ocean. Early morning coffee on the lanai, watching whales breach, is a truly memorable experience as are the sunsets. We were a family of seven and our 8-year old stepson recommends that you go to Maui and 'see your mind burst' (with pleasure). We all felt the same! Robin & Rick are very responsive owners and when we had a minor problem with the refrigerator, they responded immediately. When it could not be easily repaired, we had a brand new fridge the following day. We highly recommend this condo. It is everything it is advertised to be which is a rare find in this day and age. Thanks Robin & Rick!

4 Stars, definitely! We absolutely love this condo. November 2007 was our second stay (we'd been there in 2006) & hope to return soon. Maui is a favorite destination & especially Puamana - however, this is by far the nicest condo we've been able to rent. The Ledermans make sure everything is kept clean & in top notch condition - improvements/additions all the time! Also, Robin is so kind to make herself available if you need her [like when we arrived too early :)] Love the ocean being practically on the back doorstep & having a hot water shower outside to wash off the salt water is pure luxury. We love to cook, so having the barbeque & wonderful kitchen amenities is awesome. Of course sipping champagne while watching sunsets can't be beat either! For a truly relaxing sojourn in paradise - this is the place to stay. As for Maui hints: buy leis at the K-Mart by the airport (they're cheapest, plus fragrant ones are available)& check out the Hawaiian shirts at Costco! Mahalo Robin & Rick

This house had a view so terrific that you just did not want to spend evenings away from the Lanai. Our week here in January 2007 was so pleasant for us ( My Wife , My Mom and myself )that we look forward to returning.

This was our first trip to Maui and the highlight of our trip was the condo. The condo was just as described. We spent many hours sitting on the lanai. The location of the condo was perfect.. walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We definately felt like we were "home" in our two weeks there. Thank you, Rick and Robin, for sharing your beautiful home. -Roman and Jeanne Bartlett

I would like to say, it was the most beautiful home we have ever stayed at in Maui. We have visited Maui at least 20 times, and this was by far the most relaxing and beautiful stay we've had. I would like to express my warmest heart felt thanks for the use of the house.

We LOVED our stay at this lovely property, from September 22-29, 2006! Everything was exactly as described. The convenience factor was terrific. Having 3 bedrooms was perfect for ourselves and our grown daughters. We cooked some fabulous meals and sat out on the lanai watching the sunset many evenings. Everybody was in agreement that this made our vacation as perfect as it could be. I would definitely stay there again. Mahalo to you Robin!

My family of 8 visited this property in July 2006. It is a beautiful, extremely spacious condo right on the water! My husband loved being able to walk right out of the back door and go surfing. It is located close to town but not too close that you have a lot of traffic in and out. The property is immaculate and peaceful just how you'd want your vacation to be. I would definitely recommend this property. Thank you Robin as well for the ease in booking and arrival/departure procedures. Jen

Our family of seven adults enjoyed this home so much that we are going back! The home was just like the photos shown on the web site. The beds were very comfortable for all of us, which is quite unusual. The location is great just steps from the beach. Kitchen was well stocked and spacious. The master bedroom was so beautiful. The shower outside on the patio was great. We spent a lot of time on the lanai just soaking up the flavor of the ocean and grounds. Robin was most gracious and very pleasant to do business with. The home is a AAA in our book. Mahalo, Judy Sanders

We arrived at the Lederman's home on the evening of Memorial Day 2006, it was after dark. Needless to say, we could not believe our good fortune when we awoke the next morning to the fabulous view!! This was our first visit to Maui and probably our best vacation ever. Our 2 daughters and their husbands joined us and a wonderful time was had by all. The amenities were outstanding and the location was perfect. We left there trying to figure out how soon we could go back. We can't think of a better place to stay when in Maui. Rick and Robin, thank you for sharing your beautiful home! Mahalo, The Andersons

My wife and I had a very pleasant five week (01-14-2006 to 02-18-2006)stay in the Lederman's Beach Front House. The Ocean front setting, (20 steps from house) was magnificent. The setting sun over the adjacent Island is breath taking.(If you are lucky a Crusie Ship will be passing and or a whale will be breaching at that moment) We had six guest join us in various period of our stay. All marveled at the view, the picture book setting of Paradise, the whales putting a show, as well as the accommodations, are only a few of the comments. The end of the gated Puamana Resort is the beginning of the Lederman's house, and it was apparent that it was the gathering point for sun sets for renters across the property. Old Lahaina Town is a mile from the property gate, good food, with a number of restaurants providing ocean view.(If your spouse is on an excision, Cabs are plentiful). As for us, we would not hesitate to return to the Lederman's in the future. Mef & Sally Law

We just returned from a week at the beautiful Lederman condo on Maui. The home gets our highest marks....just a few feet from the water, in a quiet and very nice development that includes three pools and a playground for the kids. You can enjoy downtown Lahaina, which is only a short walk or spend hours just relaxing watching whales and surfers. We hope to return soon. Chris & Steve Barge Spokane, WA

We truly enjoyed staying at this property. It's a very nice unit and the waterfront setting is just wonderful. The combination was excellent - a very nice place if you just wanted to hand out and great proximity to other activities. The only problem was that we didn't want to leave.

Your condo was a perfect place for us to stay while we were in Lahaina. Our two children (4 & 5) had so much fun playing in the yard and we were able to relax on the lanai, listen to the crashing waves and not worry about the kids running down the beach or in to the water. They also enjoyed having their own room on the 3rd floor. They thought that was really neat. The condo was clean, close to everything, private and in a nice community. We made dinner on the BBQ and ate outside every night. Listening to the waves while I slept was the best! Thanks, Robin, we will be back as soon as possible!

This was our first trip to Maui. Wow!!!!! The beach house was outstanding. You could not ask for a better view. We watched the sunrise and sunset from the lanai, they were breathtaking. The house was very comfortable and inviting. The grounds beautifully manicured. We were close to all activities that we were interested in doing. We had a great time and hope to return in the future.
