Driftwood Bay cabin description
Enjoy your stay at the lake in this cozy cabin with a deck for dining and relaxing after spending your day on the lake or swimming from the pier dock. You can rest in the hammock or relax in one of the lawn chairs on the grassy lawn by the shoreline after biking one of numerous area trails, or returning from scenic drives or going into Coeur d'Alene for dinner or a play.
The cabin has two bedrooms- a bedroom on the main floor with a new queen size bed, a larger bedroom upstairs with a new queen size bed, and a loft off of the upstairs bedroom with a new single bed. The bedrooms have dressers and/or closets for your personal belongings. The main bath has a sink, toilet and shower, and the half bath has a sink and toilet. The cabin is furnished with towels, blankets, and sheets, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, range/oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishes, utensils, pots and pans. The living/kitchen area is wood paneled, with sliding glass doors that open to the deck for dining or relaxing with your morning coffee, while you view the lake.
We also have wi-fi available and a tv with dvd player. A portable dvd player is also available, as well as games and a library.
The cabin is nestled down from the road, and you can walk from the deck just steps down to the dock, lawn and beach. In the morning or evening you can fish from the dock and catch perch, sunfish, or maybe a bass, if you are really good. There are garden areas around the house and cabin with herbs, which you can use in cooking. Wildlife are abundant in the area, and song birds, loons, grebes, ducks, geese can be viewed from the deck of the cabin.
The cabin location offers solitude for a perfect vacation away from it all. This is part of our family vacation home (our main house is next-door), so we have put a lot of care into maintaining the property. We love it, and we know you will, too!
Check in is at 1.pm. on Friday (except for ironman week - dates to be set with renters). Check out time is 10:00a.m. on Friday.

The Perfect Cozy Cabin
The Perfect Cozy Cabin
The cabin it's self was quaint and adorable and exactly what the description on VRBO said. It was clean, modern, and roomy. We were a little concerned about no AC but due to the cabins location in the woods it never got too hot for us, even with temperatures outside near 100. Our hosts were extremely helpful but did not interrupt our vacation. Even though they were close by, it didn't hinder our privacy at all. When we arrived, they quickly went through things with us so we could get right to our vacation. They also provided a lovely gift basket, making us feel like their only special guests. Everything we needed for a fantastic cottage by the lake vacation was provided by our kind hosts. Right down to the BBQ on the deck and the big lazy hammock! The view was breathtaking and our hosts provided little extras for us to enjoy and relax in this outdoor paradise. The lake was wonderful and very clean( we are avid snorkelers). Our hosts even provided a canoe with new life jackets for our enjoyment. We spent at least 3 hours in the lake everyday. The lake it's self was wonderfully warm and refreshing. Coeur d'Alene was very close by and we enjoyed this beautiful resort town. Shopping, eating out, mini golf were just a few of our activities. Spokane was also nearby and we enjoyed the excellent malls and other shopping. We also did some sightseeing and visited Idaho's oldest building which is a lovely old mission. We have done a lot of travelling and have stayed in many different places but this will always be one of our favourite vacations. Thank you to our wonderful hosts. Hoping to be back next year!
