Runway Chalet is a lovely 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with a panoramic water view of Pine Island Sound, the Intercoastal Waterway, Safety Harbor, and the Gulf of Mexico. This home sits up very high and also affords a great view of the island vegetation. The best views are from the top level observation room with exterior decks on three sides that overlook the Gulf and Sound. This room, with a full bed, also doubles as a bedroom.
Runway Chalet was extensively remodeled and professionally decorated in 2005 and has stylish, updated furnishings. One floor below the observation room, you will enjoy a tastefully decorated livingroom with a large screened balcony that extends the living space outdoors to take advantage of the beautiful natural scenery and tropical island atmosphere. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances with corian countertops and there are lovely tile floors throughout.
The master bedroom with a king bed, large walk in closet, and luxurious master bath are located one floor below the main level. The master bath is equipped with a large garden tub as well as a walk in shower. Two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds, as well as a second full bath are also located on this level.

In addition, a $500 security deposit is due 30 days in advance of arrival. We also offer the option to purchase a $50 damage insurance policy in lieu of the $500 security deposit.

North Captiva Island Club - $75 fee for guests staying less than 5 nights that desire to use the NCIC facilities.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
North Captiva Island has a private airstrip approximately 1900 ft long water to water east to west on the north end of the island. A Salty Approach LLC airstrip member owns Runway Chalet and therefore its guests are entitled to usage of the airstrip at no extra charge. Airstrip regulations, procedures and a usage pass are available upon request.
