Enjoy a restful respite in this private cozy cottage. The cottage is a separate building located on the back corner of a 10,000 sq. ft. lot.This is a comfortable, self-contained, one-bedroom cottage (approximately 850 sq. ft.) and is bright and spacious. It is furnished with loving care and charm. We are located in Lanikai near the beach.
There is a beautiful secluded beach at the end of the easement with safe swimming for children, and a perfect spot to put in your kayak. The cottage is a separate building from the main house and the yard is private. An outside shower is available for your use. We have a laundry room for your convenience. Also located in the laundry room are beach mats,umbrellas, beach towels, masks, snorkels, beach chairs, toys etc.
We have a lot of beach toys. There is a double kayak, and a single, a stand-up paddle board and bicycles available.
The property's electricity is operating on a photovoltaic system which means that all the electricity is supplied by the sun. You basically have no carbon footprint with this system.
The owner lives on the property. A This is a non-smoking facility.

I choose to live here and provide a rental property because it is one of the most beauitiful beaches in the world and Kailua is a very fun and manageable town.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
The property has a beautiful garden of colorful plants and fruit trees. We also have kayaks and bicycles available and a very experienced kayak guide lives right here on the property.

We loved our two week family vacation at the Lanikai Bungalow. Our little toddler loved the passion fruit that grew on the property as well as the resident dog and cat. Some days after a quick swim in the ocean we could relax the morning away enjoying the naturally landscaped private backyard with patio dining and lawn. On other days we could meander out following the owner's excellent tips for local dining or excursions. An afternoon of kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, or beaching was always an option with the convenient on-property equipment and amenities (outdoor shower, washer dryer, towels & beach toys, and resident kayaking/surfing guide). The retal's location on the Lanikai Loop was great for a stroll, bike or jog around the friendly neighborhood. The cottage has a creatively designed interior and is full of thoughtful/useful items for making living here a breeze (fans, outdoor gas grill, coffee and waffle maker, wifi, full kitchen & utensils, and accommodating nooks for things). You will not be disappointed with your stay here, as beauty, warmth & convenience abound so you can take your vacation wherever it needs to go!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

The past two months here at your cottage have been absolutely wonderful. Lanikai is truly a very special place. Mike and I had a wonderful relaxing time in your beautiful cottage, exploring the garden, watching the bananas ripen and just sitting still observing the geckos, monarch butterflies, and of course, Manu. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place with us. We hope to see you again.

Cary and I would just like to thank you for making our honeymoon perfect. You really do have your own paradise island in your backyard. We felt welcome and the hospitality is amazing. We would not be able to find a place as inviting as your bungalow. Thanks for your help, allowing us to use the kayak and the bikes and most of all giving us the chance to be in Hawaii and having never ending memories of our honeymoon.
