  Jane, the owner of the house, is the queen of Southern Hospitality! Our whole experience was awesome. From our first conversation to decide whether or not we wanted to rent the house to the moment we sadly walked to our cars and looked back at the house in which we had such a wonderful experience. Jane added so many personal touches to make our stay a uniquely pleasant experience. -Her directions allowed us to find the place easily. -Her willingness to turn on the porch lights, if we arrived after sunset was very considerate. -The table arrangement with the University of Memphis paraphernalia and a welcome, best wishes and congratulations letter was so thoughtful. Her efforts to make sure everything someone would need on a vacation was available kept us repeatly saying “she thought about everything”. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans…everything! This house has everything you would find at a hotel and more: -Laundry area is provided -A few snacks -food delivery menus -iron and ironing board -the kitchen has (3 sinks) -another kitchen upstairs -soap, mouth wash, lotion (etc) She thinks of everything to make you feel at home! I am writing this while looking out from the main balcony and enjoying the sweet serenade of a choir of birds mixed with the rhythmic soft murmur of the flowing water, all with the visual of an amazing sunrise casting soft shadows from a spectacular family of luscious trees and blooming shrubs. I recommend this property to everyone! Our stay was fantastic.

  This is a great place. Beautiful property, great space for hanging out inside or out, very conveniently located close to Memphis. The owner helped us out numerous times during the stay and was quick responding to every correspondence. We would stay there again and highly recommend it to all.

  LOVE IT! This place is so peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Everything you are looking for in a vacation is to rest and have that home-feel and this place got it all. My first time in Arkansas and I will never forget my stay. If I ever need to come to this area again, this is where I will be staying.

  The cedars was an amazing experience for all my family that came to visit from California. The house is very well furnished, every room has its own TV, which made it very convenient. Very specious and clean. As they say is 10 min. away from Memphis which gives you the privacy and comfort of feeling like home, additionally it very convenient that the downtown and other attractions of Memphis are not very far away.The owners were always very nice and helpful. The Cedar is a perfect place for a big group of people that want to enjoy a good weekend additionally to the great city of Memphis.

  Our small family enjoyed this property during our Spring Break trip to Memphis and surrounding area. This former B&B is spacious and well-appointed, and true to the photos posted in this profile. We loved the huge kitchen, TVs in every room, and the excellent layout of the bedrooms and accompanying bathrooms. The exterior grounds are beautiful, and our young daughters loved exploring the greenbelt adjacent to the property. As described, the drive into the city of Memphis takes only 10 minutes -- so we liked staying in a rural area, but having the quick and easy access to the city and all the attractions it offers. The property owner provided exceptional service -- she was quick to respond to questions, provided helpful recommendations tailored to our family in advance of our arrival, left detailed instructions and additional information on-site, and even checked to see if we had arrived at the airport when expected. We were disappointed that the kitchen was not fully furnished with all of the expected tools and pantry staples, but we notified the owner of this shortcoming and she has pledged to address it for future renters. We would stay at The Cedars again in heartbeat, and would certainly recommend it to anyone traveling to the Memphis area.

  Despite unseasonably cold weather, we had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. With three generations of a family, including young children, it provided space for everyone. The travel time to downtown Memphis is only 15 minutes at most, so it is close enough that it is not a significant impediment. The decor and bedding are comfortable. There is ample kitchen and bathroom space. The town in which it is located seems as though it may have some historical interest, though it was hard to tell (perhaps since most of the town was shut down on Easter Sunday, which was one of the three days of our stay). If looking for an urban vacation, with everything in walking distance, this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for a retreat for a large number of people within close range to Memphis, we would highly recommend it.

  The Cedars was exactly what we hoped it would be! Great kitchen with plenty of room for 8... so much fun that we sat at the table all night catching up! Great house with very friendly and helpful owners.The house was very clean and had plenty of towels for everyone. You won't regret your stay here!
