This Spanish Colonial Revival House was built in 1923 and is located in a quiet area of Feldman’s Neighborhood which is National Register Historic District in the heart of Tucson. The corner of Drachman and Third Avenue is walking distance to the U of A, Pima College, 4th Avenue and Mansfield Park. Interstate 10 is just minutes away by car.
The house and garden areas were completely renovated between September 2012 and January 2013. In addition to upgrading the structure, facilities and aesthetics of the home, a major focus of the renovation was to develop the sustainability of the property. In addition to a comprehensive electrical upgrade to 400 amp multiple meter, a 7.5 kW photovoltaic system has been installed as well as 2825 gallon water harvesting system. The new landscaping includes drought tolerant desert vegetation. There are two bedrooms sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the guest bedroom a very comfortable queen sleeper sofa. The completely furnished large Ramada provides a protected area for outdoor dining and relaxation. The solar powered automated gate allows direct street access to the large carport which offers protection from the sun. The kitchen and bathroom have been completely renovated with new cabinets, tile, fixtures, appliances and Silestone countertops and shower walls. The wooden floors in the living-, dining and bedrooms have be refinished or replaced. All of the contemporary furniture is new and special attention was made to provide high quality mattresses. High speed wireless premier Internet service is provided as well as a new full HD 40“ flat screen and blu-ray player. Netflix video and Hulu Plus streaming is provided over a Roku 2 XS 1080p Streaming Player. No pets. No smoking inside. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are plenty of linens and towels. About the owner: We currently are working and living in Switzerland, but come back to Tucson as often as we can. I am the principal of an international school and my wife is a registered nurse. We are both avid hikers and cyclists. We hope you enjoy our home and welcome any suggestions you have.
