Nice Owners/Clean Property/Comfortable Beds
Nice Owners/Clean Property/Comfortable Beds
The owners are great people! The place was exactly as described, comfortable beds and a fully furnished kitchen. There was even coffee/ creamer and instant oatmeal stocked in case you did not have time to get to the store. The owners had caught a King Salmon while we were staying there and he actually invited us to share his catch with us! It tasted amazing :) The place is very comfortable and is only about a 30 minute drive to Anchorage. You get the best of both worlds here, a semi secluded sanctuary full of peace, and within 30 minutes the bustle of Anchorage. Lots to do from this location, only about 1 hour from a massive glacier, 1 hour from a old ghost mining town, and 3 hours from Mt. McKinley and Talketna.

Manager response: Hey Dean and Melissa! Thank-you so much for the great review! Rob and I are glad your family enjoyed your vacation in Palmer! It was fun for our family to take a little break and experience some things with your family that we hadn't seen before. Baseball was fun too! Be sure to look us up if you come this way again! Perfect Place and Great Owners!!!
Perfect Place and Great Owners!!!
Loved this rental and would definitely stay here again! Perfect for two couples. All the amenities needed for a home away from home. Our plans changed halfway through our visit and Julie (the owner) put us up in one of their Anchorage properties. Another perfect place! Thank You Julie and Family!

Year Purchased: 2012
About: I grew up hearing stories about my great grandfather and his travels throughout Alaska as a young man searching for gold. I made up my mind at 6 years of age that I would go there some day. That day was 25 years ago! Our first home was on Kodiak Island where our children were born. In 2007 we decided to relocate to Anchorage for a change of pace and start a new chapter in our lives. There is so much to see and do! In 2012 we purchased this property in Palmer to better accomodate our growing family. Palmer lies just an hour north of Anchorage in The Matanuska Valley. My great Uncle, Fred Edlund, was a homesteader in Wasilla in 1915. His brother Anton Edlund ( my other great grandfather) followed a few years later in 1937. With a little luck one day, we were able to locate the homestead off Davis Road. My husband and I just love raising our family here and have shared many adventures throughout this great state. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
We chose this property because it suited the needs of our growing family, the scenery is gorgeous, and its close enough to Anchorage so we can still keep up with our rental properties there.
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
