  We absolutely LOVE Golden Sunset! The staff is efficient and friendly,the house and grounds are immaculate and the weather is always beautiful! We look forward to our Jamaica "home away from home" all year long.

  Absolutely wonderful and relaxing in the glorious setting of Discovery Bay. I have vacationed here three times to-date, and it only gets better with each visit!. The property was in immaculate condition, and did more-than-justice to the listing photos and description. I found the staff there very warm, professional, and extremely helpful. The atmosphere was light and cheerful 100% of the time, and I was sad to leave, but I'll be back R E A L S O O N !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  My Husband & I spent our 14th anniversary on Valentines Day at Golden Sunset Villa. We were married in Jamaica in 1997 on Valentines Day. This was our 4th time to Jamaica, and our first time at a villa there. The Villa experience is better than staying at a resort in my opinion. It was in a very private location and had an amazing yard and pool, thanks to Trevor. The ocean front was way rougher than we were expecting and we couldn't snorkel like we had hoped to. Lorna was our private cook, and she fed us well. And her sister Chelsea took care of everything else. We felt so spoiled. I do have to mention that the pictures on this site are very outdated. The house is older but still very nice. It did not have A/C as advertised. But the ceiling fans really kept things cool enough. The CD and DVD players did not work, but Chelsea was kind enough to lend us hers. There were some issues with the bathroom drains that a little vinegar and baking soda will fix up. The whole house could use a little touch up here and there. Over all it was a nice holiday but it was the great staff at the house that made our stay really nice. I can see us going there again. TQ

  This was a girls vacation that exceeded every aspect of what i expected..mainly due to this perfect little Villa. The location is private & a bit remote but taxi's are easily available off the main road.The small town of Rio Beuno had all the nessasary essentials for groceries, bank machine, western union etc. The Villa's staff is pleasent, efficient & very low key.Trevor is AMAZING..he was always there at our beck & call, with good advice & recommendations & with the help of his dogs ..keeping us safe. I will probably never do the resort thing again..i liked supporting the locals & felt more apart of the Jamaican culture. It was so cool having the fruit & veggie guys visit with FRESH Produce...the bannana's & pinapples were DELICOUS! We bought fresh Almonds from a guy down the road. There was even a lady that visited with souvenir merchandise to buy. We all went home TOTALLY RELAXED & DESTRESSED...AND VOWING to come again next year!!

  We had a Jammin time at this Villa. It is quiet and beautiful. It was great to get away from the resorts this year. There was 4 of us girls that went to this Villa. It is in a secluded area, but not to far from the market. The people were very freindly. If we needed to go into town we just went up to the highway and waved down a cab with a red license plate and it only cost us 3 to 5 dollars. We really enjoyed getting to know the staff at the villa, Trevor the grounds keeper was great. He kept things very nice outside. The pool was great. We used it alot. Lorna's cooking was excellent, Chelsea and Mel were so funny. They were all great. Trevor does so much around there. He made sure our stay was the best stay ever. There were a few nights that we went out to eat with our freinds that live in Jamaica. We found that it was cheaper to do that then but groceries all the time. We did alot more sight seeing this year. ALOT cheaper then the resort tours. Like we said just wave down a taxi at the highway. This villa is a little older, but very Quaint. Make sure you take some speakers for the t.v. though. It doesnt go very loud and you are going to want to dance to their music there. We did alot of dancing by the pool. You have to take your own cd's and movies, but the Jamaicans will share their music with you.Say hi to the neighbours, Chalene, Dion and the rest of them for us. Give little Keano and big hug and kiss for us. He is the little 9 month baby next door. Also tell Lorna, Chelsea, Mel and Trevor that Heather, Sheilann, Lisa and Barb say hi and we will see them in eleven months from now. We will be going back every year.

  We had a excellent time at the Villa. The weather was great, the food was great, and the staff was great. The house, pool and grounds were kept nice and clean and Lorna cooked good food for us everyday. Trevor was very accommodating of our requests and very interesting to talk to. The only drawback to the trip was the tranportation, it would have been nice to have rented a car, but Pysches was there whenever we needed to go anywhere. The location of the house is beautiful and the nearby beach was a nice place to do some snorkeling. We had fresh fruits, vegetables and fish frequently and alittle Red Stripe in the evenings. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience and gave some insight on how other cultures live. Highly recommended.

  GOLDEN SUNSET VILLA IS STUNNING AND VERY RELAXING. I ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE VILLA AND MY STAY IN JAMAICA OVERALL. I LOUNGED AROUND THE POOL WHICH WAS EVER SO CLEAN AND REFRESHING THANKS TO THE GROUNDSMAN. I ENJOYED TAKING WALKS ALONG THE PROPERTY AND LOOKING AT THE DIFFERENT PLANTS, TREES, AND FLOWERS. I HAD NO WORRIES AT THE VILLA I LET THEM ALL GO. OUR FOOD WAS PREPARED WELL AND WAS ALWAYS GOOD AND FRESH. GOLDEN SUNSET VILLA IS A SPECIAL PLACE AND YOU CAN FEEL IN THE HOUSE THAT ALOT OF GOOD TIMES HAVE BEEN HAD THERE. I WILL DEFINITELY RENT THE VILLA IN THE FUTURE AND BRING MY WHOLE FAMILY THERE FOR SOME R & R. I WILL NEVER FORGET MY STAY AT GOLDEN SUNSET VILLA IN DISCOVERY BAY JAMAICA THANK YOU

  I vacationed for the first time in Jamaica in 1999 for my birthday with friends and our stay was at the Golden Sunset Villa....I haven't been back since my first time to Jamaica...but I must say my time there was wonderful...there are different owners and staff at the villa now and I am so glad to know that Golden Sunset is still rentable (smile) I will be DEFINATELY occupying the villa on my next stay there in Jamaica...I can't wait I had a spectacular time and the staff was wonderful...!!!!
