Fits the bill for northerners looking for a retreat from two feet of snow and freezing weather. Tropical atmosphere complete with tangerine and grapefruit trees; ate citrus daily, with coffee and rolls, on private patio facing out to mountain views changing hues of orange, red and purple. Relaxed at heated pool and sauna at close of day...pretty romantic; throw away the Viagra. Look close for the birds: verdin, white-crowned sparrow, melodious mockingbirds, vermillion flycatchers, bushtits, ruby-crowned kinglets and mountain bluebirds...to name a few; all can be found in and around the neighborhood. Only short car hops to scenic canyon trails to see desert oasis and ecological niches found nowhere else. Don't miss Canyonlands, Morongo Canyon, and Joshua Tree NP. Stay close and you are only a ten minute hike away from downtown Palm Springs, complete with the Koffi Shop and pleasant"green" to sit and while away the afternoon reading and relaxing. Been all over the world; this place is unique and worth staying a month ...or more! You will have to beat us to the reservation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
