Tastefully decorated, with a comfortable atmosphere, Westway House is the setting for a relaxing family vacation.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered decks while viewing the abundance of wildlife on Kidd Island Bay. You'll see ducks, osprey, Great Blue Herons, otters, beavers, wild turkey, deer, and elk.
As the day progresses, jump into your boat and experience all that the lake has to offer. With over 100 miles of shoreline available, you can spend days exploring the many bays and inlets. The lake is perfect for water skiing and wake boarding.
If you feel adventurous, you can go in search of secluded islands and spend the day swimming and enjoying a picnic. Zip across the lake (10 minutes) for an evening meal at the world-renowned Coeur d'Alene Resort, or one of the many other fine restaurants, accessible by boat.
Westway House features all the modern amenities, in a casual setting. The house (itself)is wheelchair accessible via a ramp off the back porch. The main floor includes a master bedroom with queen bed and private bathroom, a large open living/dining area with exposed log beams, fireplace, a queen size sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a game room, (complete with pool table and fireplace), a laundry room, and a second full bathroom. The main level also features a large, partially covered deck built around a 100 year old Ponderosa Pine.
The two bedrooms on the second floor share a bathroom. One has a queen bed and the other a full-size bed. The lower level bunk room walks out onto a large, partially covered deck. It is equipped with two twin beds. The waterfront includes a dock, where you can tie up your boat or jet skis, and a fire pit for cozy evening gatherings.
Westway House is a four-season vacation paradise that begins the year with the winter ski season. Coeur d'Alene is situated within an hour of four major ski resorts which include Schweitzer Mountain and Silver Mountain, boasting its six-person gondola. In addition, you will find hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails. Attractions in late Spring include the Coeur D'Alene Marathon (held in May),the "Car d'Alene", a three-day classic car event, and the world famous Ironman Triathalon (held in June).
Summer brings one of the largest Fourth of July celebrations in the Inland Northwest. Included in the festivities are a parade, a multitude of food offerings, street dances, and music everywhere! The culmination is a spectacular fireworks display over the lake. In August, you can experience the Wooden Boat Show, or Art on the Green which features three days of fine art, fine food, and fine music.
Thanksgiving weekend offers the Winter Festival of Lights. This event ushers in the Holiday Season with an incredible fireworks show. During the weeks of late December through mid January, you can view one of nature's most spectacular events as the majestic Bald Eagles take pause during their southerly migration to feast on the spawning Kokani Salmon in Wolf Lodge Bay.
In addition, there are dozens of golf courses within 10 to 20 miles of your vacation home. They range from a world renowned 18-hole course featuring a movable floating green, to smaller 9-hole courses. You can ride the 26-mile long Centennial Trail. You will also find easy access to Silverwood Theme Park. In town you can enjoy an inviting city park, and a beautiful sandy city beach. There are several sport rental companies in town where you can rent ski boats, pontoon boats, jet skis and more.
Although there is an abundance of events and activities right at your doorstep, you will find Westway House to be an oasis in which to revitalize, with a relaxed and casual lifestyle . . .the home where memories are made . . .

What a wonderful way to spend our family vacation. Beautiful views, quiet atmosphere and excellent fun. Westway House was truly a home away from home for all of our extended family. Having two families come together with six children all under the age of 12 means that vacations can be hectic. Our experience here truly made our trip an enjoyable, peaceful time together. We totally enjoyed your home. We had many good meals and a few card games to enjoy. We would come again when the weather is better for a few golf games. We did play the Scotch Tasting Open at the Casino Golf Course. . . FUN but Cold!

Had a great trip! This place had everything we needed. Thanks so much. Arrow Point rocked with three small kids. The Bay was great for inner tubing and boarding. Great family vacation. Great moorage too!

Our family reunion was a week long success. We rented three homes in CDA. (This one was the best). Thirty-three showed up from all over the U.S. (Cleveland, Ohio, Moose Lake, MN, Carrollton, TX, Provo, UT, Seattle, WA, Emmett, ID, Boise, ID, and Idaho Falls, ID). We had 12 great-grandchildren, 8 grandchildren with spouses, one guest, and two of our five children and spouses. It was a great time for all of us. Grandpa and Grandma are very proud of our family and were happy to visit and play with all of them. We saw an eagle and osprey fall into the water right by the new dock, caught a fish and take off again. (That was the first day!). Friday night a BAT visited us ( and we let him or her out the door!). We will remember this trip for a long time! A hammock on the porch and I could call this place Heaven! Ps. A couple more dish towels would make my husband’s job easier.

Thanks for letting us use your house! We had fun fishing, playing pool and inner tubing. We got to see my uncle run, swim and bike in the Ironman. We also almost caught the biggest catfish I have ever seen. So when I was inner tubing or swimming, I was scared. We have seen many animals like catfish, beaver, turkeys, geese, ducks, elk and deer. You have amazing birds here like Falcons, Hawks, Heron, Bald Eagles and Hummingbirds. Every night we would go and stand near the water and four hummingbirds would come really close and almost land on us!!

Thank you so much for your great lake house. Imagine my surprise when finding the perfect house online and finding that we know the owner! Must have been meant to be! I had been trying to find a way for the entire family to stay together for our little one’s first b-day and your home was perfect! We had family from Redmond, OR, Forks, WA and us from here in Spokane. We had fun playing on the lake, playing pool, playing games and just spending time together. Again, thank you so much for providing your home!
