Just moments away from the sea, it is your perfect base in Cape Town. Originally built in the 1960s, the house has been tastefully and extensively renovated, with mid-century modern furniture and designed with the family in mind. Ideal for living and entertaining in style, it features 3 en-suite bedrooms, including a lavish master bedroom suite (with its own study area), and 2 double-bedrooms, which share a family bathroom. Every bedroom has sliding doors leading onto pretty gardens. All the beds, with the exception of the master bed, can be used as twins or lock together to form double-beds. They can also be arranged toe-to-toe, creating a child-friendly room. The spacious, open plan living area has a vaulted, exposed ceiling, lending a beach house feel.
The living area flows directly to a sheltered outdoor terrace with built-in sofas and a BBQ. The garden features a large, private swimming pool with diving board and a removable child-proof safety fence. Two entertainment areas lead off the garden. The first is designed for adults, with a pool table, bar and widescreen TV. The second, aka 'The Cabana Room', can serve as either the fifth double-bedroom, or as a children's playroom with beds arranged toe-to-toe. Our friendly, live-in housekeeper, Victor, will welcome you and look after the house during your stay.

Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: We are based in London but half of our family grew up in Camps Bay, and visit as often as we can. We have three young children and they love it here too. This is paradise.

We bought this property two years ago as we were drawn to its exceptional views and location. We have spent 2 years rebuilding this house, with exceptional attention to detail.
The house was built in the 1960s and we have remained true to this period with both design and installing furniture classics to give the house a mid-century modern feel. We Like to think of it as Mad Men by the Sea.
