This was an exceptional rental for visiting Amsterdam; we highly recommend it. Our rental was for one week in April, 2013. The owner and her manager (Ivan) were very convenient to contact and get us set up on arrival. The apartment was very clean, nice kitchen, good shower. The bedroom was quite, as was the building and neighborhood in general. Security of doors was excellent and we felt very safe in the rental and surrounding area. As an older couple (70+), we had no problem with the circular stairway up to apartment (we only use “carry-on” luggage). Photos in the vrbo ad accurately showed the apartment. This is a great place to view the canal; we especially enjoyed the Queen's Birthday activities of passing boats and celebration. Location is ideal for museum-hopping, restaurant choice, shopping and access to Trams. The owner's recommendation of bus connection from the airport was very easy to follow, as was walk to apartment. Trams travel often to central train station. There was some restoration work being done on the canal wall in the area, but we did not hear any construction noise. We travel yearly to Europe; this was one of our best vrbo.com experiences and will certainly be our choice on next visit to Amsterdam.
