Excellent kayaking and boating area. Bird's nest is an ideal setting for a romantic retreat or we can accomodate up to six guests. Our house is newly renovated with all the comforts of home. Open design living area with large windows to enjoy the view!
If you happen to arrive by water, we have a 30 foot slip for landing your pleasure craft. We also have launching facilities if you would like to trailer your boat here. The fishing here is one of the best areas of the Sunshine Coast for salmon and ling cod. There are also many islands here to explore.

We stayed one night at 'Secret Coves Bird's Nest' and so wished that we stayed a week! A meticulously maintained property in a beautiful natural wonderland, right on the water. All areas of the house are well stocked, from fluffy towels for the hottub, coffee for the morning, down to butter & jam stocked in the fridge. The house itself is also very well maintained, exceptionally clean, with many new additions, not to mention so beautifully decorated. We used both the hottub & the fireplace, each item adding to the romantic feel of the night. Our hosts were gracious, warm & welcoming, ready to attend to our every need & question. Approximately a 15 minute drive into Sechelt, we felt close to all amenities. Mind you, we didn't really need amenities, just basking in the natural beauty of the house & the property was the real treat!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Trev and Laurie both love this private gem on the Sunshine Coast and would love to share it with you! Laurie was born and raised on the Sunshine Coast and really enjoys the beauty, nature and sense of community on the Sunshine Coast. Trevors family has owned property in Secret Cove since the 1970's and really enjoys the outdoors and fishing in the area.
Why the Owner Chose Halfmoon Bay:
This is such a unique piece of property. You are close to the ocean and an expansive sky. Part of this property has been owned by Trevor's family since the 70's and it is so beautiful and peaceful here. When we had the opportunity to buy the rest of the property, we felt lucky to have the opportunity.

We fell in love with the expansive sky, the ocean, the wildlife, and sense of peace here. It is truly unique with no traffic noise, only boats, and sealife. When we saw a stellar sea lion playing with a salmon in the ocean in front of the house, we were captivated!
