This spacious seventh floor luxury penthouse has three bedrooms and three complete bathrooms with approximately 1750 square feet of living area. It is a west unit with direct ocean views, and has two private wrap around balconies. Each balcony has two cornering glass door walls for maximum view.
The Whaler is a LOW DENSITY UNIT that has an excellent location and is within easy walking distance of downtown Gulf Shores and its fine restaurants and shops. This condo is well maintained in top condition and is well equipped to provide you with quality accommodations. As owners we are directly involved in making certain that this unit is maintained in like new condition. There is a large elevator and carts to transport your belongings.
There is an abundance of shopping in the Gulf Shores area and in Foley, a few miles north on Highway 59. A new Super Walmart is less than two miles away. Swimming pool and shower are provided for Whaler guests, and the ocean's clean white sandy beach is only footsteps away. You are invited to stay in one of the nicest and best maintained condos on the beach. The Condo Owner Association has adopted a no pet policy for guest.

Fall Break at the Penthouse

Eight members of our extended family stayed in the Penthouse from 10/9-10/16/2010 and had a great time. We ranged in age from 12 to 68 and all of us loved the place. The pictures you see do not do the place justice. Several items have been updated since the pictures were taken, such as TV's and bedspreads. The balconies are great - overlooking the pool and the beach and since there are two balconies there is plenty of room for everyone. All three bedrooms are spacious and bright. They each have a big closet with plenty of drawer space also. Each has a flat screen TV, which makes for a total of 4 TV's (there is one in the living room also). The master bathroom has dual sinks and is very nice with a whirlpool tub. The hall bathroom is small, but has everything you need. The bedroom that has two queen beds has its own bathroom, which is a normal size with one sink. Everything you should need on vacation is in the kitchen. Only thing we had to buy was groceries for breakfast, lunch and snacks. We ate out every night for dinner and had many great meals in the area. There is a nice washer and dryer located in the kitchen which is always nice to have. My kids were fascinated with the garbage disposal, compactor and the garbage chute near the elevator. We had no problems with the elevator until the last day. We were never sure if it was broken or if they were only cleaning the elevator, but we had to haul our things to the car down the steps. Thank goodness for teenage boys with lots of energy. Mr. White is a professional, nice man that will help you in any way he can. He even called me on the day after we returned home to make sure our stay was enjoyable and wanted to know if we had any concerns. The only item we wished there was more of in the condo was washcloths. With the 8 of us, we were always running out and having to wash a load of laundry. As I have told many people, I could live in this Condo. The location of this condo is great, you can walk to the "T" easily as we did to the Shrimp Festival and Bon Jovi concert. We had no problem with the parking lot either. I love Gulf Shores and can't wait to come back.
