Hendersonville cabin description

The idea of vacationing in the Blue Ridge Mountains in a log cabin is wonderful…but the idea of vacationing in the Blue Ridge Mountains in a large LUXURY log cabin in a great location is even more wonderful.

When you stay in our luxury log cabin, its rustic appearance makes you feel a part of this historic area, but you can still enjoy the luxuries that provide a pampered feeling. Bring a loved one, collect the family, celebrate with friends or bring co-workers for a planning retreat…whatever the reason, this cabin is waiting to show you a good time.

Over 7 acres of beautiful land surround the cabin and when you drive into the community, you just know a great time awaits you. Explore to your hearts content. You can take advantage of the nearby orchards offering apples, cherries and plums when in season.

The minute you walk through the front door of the cabin, you’ll marvel at the collection of tasteful furnishings that make each room comfortable yet sophisticated. The cabin combines the look of a Colorado lodge with the upscale style of upscale homes often featured in magazines. It all comes together to create a space that will welcome you home after a day of exploration in and around Hendersonville.

This luxury cabin looks the part…with multiple decks on all levels. Surrounded by trees sitting on the top of the crest, this cabin has views that explain why they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains. The soft blue hues of the mountain ranges in the distance provide the perfect backdrop for your stay.

This cabin sleeps 10 in three bedrooms, plus bunkbeds, with three bathrooms. The main level has the two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen and a shared bathroom. The master is in the loft with a large and spacious room with attached bathroom with a jetted tub. A large bunk area can sleep all the kids with an attached bathroom and the game room area on the lower level.

The great room contains the gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances and a breakfast bar. Adjoining the kitchen is a dining area with a tall dining table that seats six and breakfast bar that seats four. Those at the table will have mountain views, and if you want, have breakfast on the large screened porch over looking the beauty that surrounds this cabin. A seating area with a fireplace and flat screen television is also a part of the great room.

What a beautiful spot! We shared this cabin with two other couples for a long weekend and loved it. The cabin is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked and the views are incredible. Particularly enjoyed the hot tub! We also enjoyed exploring downtown Hendersonville and nearby Asheville. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a true getaway. It is a breath-taking spot with all the amenities you need for a wonderful time.

What a beautiful site. The word cabin does not do justice to this lovely home. From the moment we walked into the cabin it exceeded our expectations. The rooms are large and well appointed, the views (sunrise from one set of windows and sunset another set!) fantastic and the hot tub perfect for relaxing. It is so peaceful it is difficult to leave to visit the nearby sites. But don't miss cute Hendersville and beautiful Asheville. We had three couples and had so much room it did not feel the least bit crowded. It is perfect for anyone from one couple to a family reunion. Next time we will plan to stay longer and spend more time exploring the area and of course relaxing!

This cabin is not a cabin-it is one of the nicest vrbo homes we have stayed in and we use vrbo 4-5 times a year. The view from the hottub is amazing, especially while enjoying coffee or better yet, champagne. There is plenty of room to spread out. I loved the bed swing on the front porch and the screened porch was a nice sunny spot to read. The master bedroom was very comfortable. The house was very well equipped. All we had to buy was food. Hendrsonville and Ashville were easy to get to from this house. I can not even describe how beautiful the sunsets were over the mountains! What a perfect way to celebrate half a century!

We took our twin girls and 4 of their friends to celebrate their 11th birthday party! The cabin was the perfect venue for this. The downstairs basement gave the girls the chance to have their own fun, while adults could have their own space upstairs! The accommodations are as comfortable as they are beautiful. The views are breathtaking and awe-inspiring! We spent one day at Biltmore with the girls which was convenient and less than an hour away. We would highly recommend staying at "The Sanctuary" and we will be back!!

Abe Lincoln would've been a lazy, pampered President had he matriculated in THIS log cabin. Had Davy Crocket been born on THIS mountain top, he'd never have left for the Alamo. Had Thomas Wolfe stayed in the Sanctuary instead of in nearby Asheville, he'd have written Look No Further, Angel. We feasted like gormandizers in a kitchen spacious enough for lawless vikings. After those feasts, we lounged like a bunch of buzzards in this spacious aerie, breathing the rarified air of the Olympians. Who else but gods get to wash dishes from a window that frames sunrises or can contemplate our navels from a front porch that commands the flip-side view of helios? Surely the only biped who lives in nicer digs is he-who-must-be-obeyed, and were he to rent The Sanctuary, he'd have it painted white and call it the Summer White House.

My family and I planned a last minute Easter vacation since the kids were out of school. We usually stay in the Bryson City/Nantahala area, but decided to stay near Lake Lure and Chimney Rock since it wasn't quite as far away from where we live. We wanted a secluded feel so we searched for an area outside of the town limits. What a wonderful surprise we had when we arrived! The cabin was perfect! Very clean, nicely decorated, and the long range views were BEYOND fantastic!! The cabin was on top of the mountain but it was an easy drive up and very easy to find. The beds were very comfortable and the family room furniture was very cozy. We basically felt "at home" while we were at this wonderful cabin. It is stocked with about everything you need and more. We enjoyed being at the cabin so much that we only ate out once during our 5 day stay. The location was also wonderful. We were only minutes away from Hendersonville, which made it convenient buying groceries. We were also only minutes away from Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. We enjoyed the Boat Tour at Lake Lure while we were there. Biltmore House was only about 30 minutes away and we also went to Pisgah National Forest to tour the waterfalls in the area. If you are looking for a great cabin that is secluded but still near everything, look no further, you have found it! We will be visiting again soon!

Our family of four from Charleston SC "met in the middle" with some of our dearest family members from Pittsburgh. We were delighted from the moment we pulled up to the cabin. The views were stunning. We felt like we were enjoying a little slice of heaven. There were times when we didn't want to leave - so easy to cook/ grill there. But the times we did crave a good restaurant or shopping... Plenty of options were nearby. We went snow tubing, visited the Biltmore - but my favorite moments were reading and playing board games by the fire. The kids watched movies, played in the jacuzzi tub, and loved sleeping in the bunk beds. In fact, we all slept so comfortably. From the beautiful floors, to the lovely porches - I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! It was the perfect combination of peace and tranquility (feeling like we were secluded in the best of ways) AND still having the convenience of a super nice grocery store, a huge Walmart, and the like. We are already planning our next trip back!

About: Dick served as an Air Force pilot for twenty-two years and retired as a lieutenant colonel. Then he established and led the Junior ROTC Program for twenty-one years at Wando High. Virginia was an English teacher and Teacher Cadet instructor for thirty-five years in the Charleston area, and for five years worked as a Teacher in Residence for SCCTR and CERRA. She now works part time for two South Carolina education programs. They are active members at St. James Church, James Island. Why Hendersonville:
We live in a beautiful neighborhood, which resembles a village of homes relatively close together. We sought a more private getaway where we felt surrounded by God’s creation of trees, mountains, and wildlife. We love the different personalities of the four seasons as well as the solitude and silence of our “sanctuary.”

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Visitors can easily access this cabin since it is less than half an hour away from I-26. We have put together a booklet, letting guests know of the countless areas to visit within an hour or less from the cabin—Hendersonville, Saluda, Tryon, Black Mountain, Chimney Rock, Asheville, Lake Lure, the Biltmore Estate, and many more. People who are in search of history, arts, outdoors, and the countryside find it around our cabin, which is within walking distance of apple orchards. A front porch with a swing-bed and rocking chairs, a screened-in back porch, windows that provide views of mountain ranges—these are some of the amenities of the cabin. The finished basement, designed to be very kid-friendly, is furnished with bunk beds for eight, a wide-screened TV with an assortment of DVDs, children’s games and books. The cabin is equipped with most home appliances, a grill, and a wide variety of reading materials.
