We decided to spend the most important day of our lives at Steven and Rebecca's cottage. It is the most beautiful and tranquil place we've ever been to. The views of the lake will be forever embedded in our memories! The cottage is very clean, well equipped and secluded. We enjoyed riding bikes along scenic Cedarvail lane to a nearby park on the lake. We highly recommend Steven and Rebecca as hosts and can't wait to visit the cottage again!

Owner response: Mr & Mrs Zhits became Husband & Wife and had shared their wonderful wedding pictures with us. Rebecca and I were so HONORED to be a part in such a wonderful union. Still we think about how interesting the Cottage has become. Attracting quality educated authentic individuals who are seeking privacy and peacefulness in this corner of Vermont's Historic Champlain Islands!

My family and I have just returned from a four night stay at this beautiful house. Steven and Rebecca could not have been nicer or more helpful and the house is beautiful, clean and in the most beautiful spot imaginable. We spent our evenings grilling dinner and watching the beautiful sunsets over Lake Champlain. It was a piece of paradise. We can't wait to go back!

My stay in North Hero was one of the most relaxing vacations I've had in years. The view from the deck was beautiful from dawn to dusk. The property is private, quiet and well maintained. The cottage had all the amenities you could ask for and the owners were very helpful. I would recommend this property to all my friends and relatives. i

We had such a great time. North Hero and the Champlain Islands are beautiful! We loved your house. The view was gorgeous, the neighborhood was so nice and quiet - neighbors were nice. We really enjoyed watching the sunset every night from the deck. The house had just about everything you could ask for. Steven & Rebecca were so nice and we are very grateful that they are dog friendly. Our dog enjoyed the vacation just as much as we did :) We enjoyed exploring the islands and taking a day trip to Burlington. We hated to leave and hope to come back next year.

Owner response: Jen & Dillon, You two were wonderful guests and are welcomed back anytime! Thank you for staying and your referrals to other quests! Steven & Rebecca

My daughter and I rented this beautiful cottage over the weekend, and absolutely loved it. The home has everything you could need. Great location, directly on the lake, extremely private and quiet, yet close to Montreal and Burlington. Steve is a great host and made us feel right at home. Mila, our dog, really enjoyed swimming in the clear water. It was so fantastic we're going back for a week!

Owner response: Thank you for our first wonderful review! You both were our very first guests at the Cottage and you were very respectful, honest and kind guests - the kind of people we welcome to return again and again! It was a pleasure to meet you an your daughter and your pup!

About the owner: Steven & Rebecca We are both Professionals who work with people with Developmental Disabilities and I also am a Guitarist who has just released my Debut Album Acoustic Memories. www.stevendwightlongemusic.com If you like the sound of the Acoustic Guitar then my website and music is a must listen! Listen free on my website!

Why the Owner Chose North Hero:
We initially purchased this property to get away from all the noise that city life bombards you with. I now have a Recording Studio! It offers total peace and quiet for recording. Rebecca enjoys reading books here, bird watching, walking, swimming, and biking. She enjoys the serenity of the location and the whistling of wind through the many mature cedars hence the name Cedarvale Lane! Rebecca and I pictured above.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
It all starts with the Seasons and we begin with the Winter Romance Cuddle & Bubble: An Impressive Romantic Getaway! You whisk your partner to an undisclosed location for a 3 day weekend. Your thinking Proposal... How can you make this a unique experience for you and your future spouses beginning life's journey? Right Here! You start with remoteness and just the two of you. You are away from it all - out of the city light canopies - up here in the beautiful Champlain Islands in an outdoor Hot Tub underneath the Moon and Stars in a Vermont Winter! Spectacular Stargazing! Extremely quiet and peaceful during the Holiday and Winter Romance Cuddle & Bubble Season. You're with Nature in the Northern Champlain Islands! Who knows I may be available to play a few songs for our guests! Next is Spring Fishing Season: Anglers come from all over to compete in the Annual - Lake Champlain Fishing Derby each spring. This Cottage is located on Pelots Point - North Hero's only Peninsula which is on the broad Lake. You can launch at Jefferson Park which is our private Beach & Picnic Area at the very end of Cedarvale Lane. The builder who installed our stairs to the lake said 'Steven I just saw a huge school of fish with stripes on them pass by' he said. 'Not sure what they might have been' I said 'possibly they were maybe Rainbow Trout or Salmon'.. Private Cedarvale Lane splits our property and there is ample area to park your truck trailer and boat. We are going to put in a buoy this year and you can tie on and dingy to shore in front of the cottage. Just a cool tidbit: We heard the Loons again May 18th, 2013. Prime Summer Season: THis is an amazing time of year here in Cedarvale. Folks who have owned their private property arrive in April to get their Cottages in order for their summer enjoyment.
