A lovely Alpine style Chalet at the foot of the ski mountain. Two stories with two bedrooms, one bath on each floor, a large living room and kitchen on the main floor. Comfortable, cozy, warm,"old fashioned," in the middle of the forest, on the stream, in a quiet area, yet only a short walk away from the lifts and village in the WINTER. Ideal location for so many outdoor activities in the cool mountains in the SUMMER hiking trails in front of your doorsteps. Wonderful for children to play outside.

Artists from all over the world have come to Taos, bring their rich contributions; workshops are available at all times and all categories of art. Wonderful Chamber Music Concerts in the summer. Taos is rich in culture and tradition.

Year Purchased: 1972
The Edelweiss Chalet was part of the Edelweiss Hotel wich we owned and operated since 1963! After 34 wonderful and most successful year in Hotel operation we retired and sold the Hotel - however I kept the Edelweiss Chalet. It was part of the hotel for all those years. I have lived in the Ski Valley for over 45 years now and still love it. The location of the house is perfect with access to the ski slopes and the village (short walk). Skiing and mountain sports are a big part of my life.

If you are a skier, beginner or ready for serious slopes, this is the perfect place to be. Walk out of the house and put on your skies - you are practically on the slope! Perfect in many other ways as a family vacation or reunion with other families, it all suites nicely.

This Chalet provided a very lovely ski vacation with my family and my in-laws. We were able to have the main floor for us and our children - my in-laws (parents and sister) stayed upstairs where they could have privacy. We all ski and were able to walk over to the ski lodge easily, making it convenient to alternate watching the little children left behind. We cooked and had nice meals together on the great dining bench accompanied with a full window. The decor and quanitness reminded us of our ski trips to Austria. Everything we needed was there and in nice condition. The owner checked in to make sure everything was okay upon arrival. Everything in the listing was accurate.
