Our Dublin rental was centrally located, making for great excursions on foot, bus and train. The convenient location was our primary goal. Our second need was for enough beds for the four of us and a kitchen for breakfast and supplies storage. The unit was small by American standards, but functional. The master bedroom had enough room to sleep and store luggage. The 2nd bedroom was huge, giving the kids a nice place to relax after a long day of touring. The living room also held the eating area. It was great that there was a pile of brochures to look at from previous tenants so we could research our next excursion. The kitchen was so small we chose not to cook much in it, so we mostly used the refrigerator, microwave and teapot. Good for me since I didn't want to cook anyway :^) The bathroom was fine, however we had to get dressed and made up outside the room so we could use electrical outlets and have a little more room and air. The management was extremely responsive and flexible. Our pre-rental mail communications were clear and we were met as we had scheduled. This was super important as it was our first experience outside of the airport. We truly appreciated this. I would recommend this rental for those that plan to spend more time outside their unit than in it and for those who value location over amenities. This was a good match for our time in Dublin.Owner response: Thanks Vicki for a very comprehensive and well written review. We are delighted you enjoyed you stay. Liam

If you like a vacation rental that is central, clean, secure with an accommodating host than this is the spot for you. My husband, sister and I (3 seniors) enjoyed a week at the flat in April 2011. Liam provided excellent instructions on how to arrive from the airport and where to meet. Returning to the airport was equally hassle free. We attended a concert in the church across the road and a performance at the Abbey Theatre just down the street. We were able to walk everywhere to tour beautiful Dublin. Thank you Liam.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks guys, I hope to see you back to Dublin again soon. Liam

My sister and I stayed here for a long weekend just before Christmas. The airport bus left us at the Gresham Hotel where Liam met us and treated us to coffee. The apartment is one block behind the hotel in a quiet street with a gated car park and secure entrance. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean, warm, well-fitted and had everything we needed - as described. We walked everywhere - Docklands, Grafton St, Trinity and Temple bar, as well as the railway station (Dart) and bus station. Street felt safe at night and no passing late-night party-folk to keep us awake, so slept well. Owner easy to deal with and great communication.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks girls, glad you had a great time. See you again soon. Liam

My friend and I recently spent at week at Liam's lovely Marlborough Court apartment and it is exactly as advertised: it is spacious, airy, well-appointed (the free, secure Wi-Fi and cable TV are a lovely bonus), and meticulously clean. I felt very secure--multiple codes and keys are required to get in--but also felt completely safe walking around the neighborhood late at night. It is exceptionally convenient to all major Dublin attractions--perhaps a 10 minute walk to the O'Connell Street Bridge, and 15 minutes to Temple Bar. It is also easily walkable to the Abbey Theater and the O'Connelly Rail Station. The airport bus 747 lets you off right around the corner, and we were met by Liam. He also called us during the week to see how we were fairing and could not have been nicer or more solicitous during our stay. There are several grocery stores just down the street, too, for provisioning. I would recommend this apartment WHOLEHEARTEDLY to anyone traveling to Dublin.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

I've just returned from a week's stay in Property 457157, a beautiful, well-maintained and secure apartment in the heart of Dublin City Centre. Lots of communication back and forth with Liam Clancy until we felt comfortable that this would be a suitable property. Easy reservation and payment process. Liam called right before we left the US to arrange to meet us where the Airport Bus left us. Called again the morning of our arrival and was at the drop-off point within five minutes. Accompanied us to the apartment and showed us about, explaining the access process. This is an extremely secure property. Called mid-week to make sure we were getting along OK. What customer service. Everything was bright and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Storage for clothing, luggage and toiletries is abundant. The kitchen is totally equipped with newer, heavy pots and pans, lots of dishes. The washer/dryer is very efficient and the refrigerator large enough for all our groceries. The stove and oven were spotless. Lots of supplies availble for the daily clean-up in the kitchen. Extra towels were available. Best of all, this is a NON-SMOKING facility. The area is safe and vibrant with local residents and shop keepers. We were so centrally located that we only used the bus service one time and did take the DART out to Howth. Other than that we walked everywhere, allowing us to partake of the excellent food and spirits that Dublin offers without gaining a pound. For those not inclined to walk everywhere a simple walk around the corner allowed access to the buses and the new LUAS street tram system. I cannot say enough nice things to recommend this property for a worry-free holiday stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

"Très bel et confortable appartement, idéalement situé dans le centre de Dublin (et au calme) pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis. Pour les français, munissez vous d'un adaptateur pour les prises (vous en trouverez à l'office de tourisme situé à deux pas sur O'Connel street). En bref : idéal !"Did you find this review helpful?
