Open plan, easy to keep tidy, loft bedrooms. Lawn areas on all sides. The smoke-free house and the location are ideal for vacationers summer and winter and has proven to be a very popular rental. It's pretty inside and out.
There is a caretaker apartment. There is no shared area with the main house.

Very nice and cozy house. Was enough space for 7 people. Beautiful deck with great views. House is comfortable with everything you need. Owner was very helpful. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and will come back next summer.

I would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a getaway weekend. It is in a great location, off the beaten path but close enough in proximity to anything you need. The house itself is well kept, exteremly clean, and adorably decorated. It's exteremly spacious and accomidates 6 people very comfortably. We came for a family wedding and had plenty of room to get ready, bathrooms, hot water etc etc. The only thing we were suprised about (and this is NOT negative) but that it appears the owner lives here, not just visits. So virtually you are staying amoung her things, which is fine but caught us off guard. Also, there is a private apartment in the back and you can sometimes hear the tenat (no more than a normal 'hotel') but we were concerned that we might bother her. It's a contemporary lay out w/ great wooden floors that also double as the ceiling. So quiet or extereme privacy is out of the question, but we came w/ two small children (2 and 3.5) who managed naps and sleeping no problem! Overall I give this a 5 a recommend it anyone who is looking escape the daily grind. With the amazing porch and great view, tons of in house ammenaties and super location, this place is a steal!

I must confess that this place is truly a diamond in the rough. If you're into art, serenity, great locations, and all the amenities you need for a magnificent getaway, then you're looking at the right place. Everything was accommodated as stated and then-some. -Talk about getting more bang for your buck. If you aren't necessarily familiar with Great Barrington, don't worry, it's quite simple to navigate and there's something for all walks of life. Live entertainment, outdoor activities, fabulous food, and great people - all of which is just minutes down the road from where the property is located - while remaining private at the same time. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to have a getaway with no complaints! That's what I expected and that is what I received ten fold. Would I go back to this property? Let me put it this way.... Why fix it if it ain't broken. I was actually considering writing a negative review so I could have the place to myself, but that just wouldn't be humane!

VERY clean, in excellent condition, airy, but smaller than anticipated. upstairs master bedroom with double bed three walls, fourth overlooks open balcony to living room. second bedroom with two twins is small, third bedroom downstairs open, not very private next to her office with double bed. steep staircase to upstairs would be difficult for seniors and not recommended for small children. No lock on main sliding glass entrance. but seems to be a secure area. Main living room/open kitchen area very very nice and comfortable. Some steep open steps to main door. Nice open kitchen and eating area, wonderful yard. Bathroom is upstairs.
