Owner info
Year Purchased: 2003
About the owner: Dave and Anne have been married for more than forty years. They are proud parents of three wonderful children and seven beautiful grandkids. Anne is a former teacher and Dave was in charge of central planning for a communications company in Oakville, Ontario for more than thirty years when they retired. When they retired, they bought a beautiful, stone bungalo, on six acres of rambling, waterfront property, in Prince Edward County, Ontario. Prince Edward County is famous for the Sandbanks Provincial Park and thousands of visitors come to this county to holiday each year. Little did Anne and Dave know, that they would be busier in their retirement than they had been for years. They own and operate Arcanada B&B and their Little White House, year round. They love every moment they spend, serving their lovely guests, and helping each person fullfill their dream of enjoying a rejuvenating, funfilled holiday on the water.
Why the Owner Chose Picton:
Anne and Dave bought their dream home, on the water because Dave loves to fish. They instantly realized that the home would make a perfect bed and breakfast. Arcanada Bed and Breakfast was born in June 2002. The following year they bought the little white house next door, so that visiting families and groups of friends wishing to experience the peaceful, funfilled nature of Arcanada's B&B, would have an affordable, private, home away from home to stay in while they were in the County. Arcanada's Little White House was born in June, 2003. It is a self sufficient vacation house, that enables all to enjoy a resort atmosphere on a tight budget!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Anne and Dave cordially invite you to stay in their Little White House, which is located on it's own private 1.5 acre yard, next to their B&B. This private, self contained, village home, affords an intimate, self regulated atmosphere for your dream vacation setting.
Let the tranquil breezes blowing off the Bay of Quinte, carry you away, as you close your eyes and daydream while sitting in one of the well appointed chaise lounges.
Or let youself be rocked to sleep in one of the hammocks hanging in the shady trees down by the shore. It's so peaceful here.....
