We had a wonderful time in your beautiful home! It was the perfect end to our week long vacation with my Mother, our kids & grandkids. We really enjoyed the ocean being so close and the viewing room was our favorite place to gather in the evening and watch the lighthouse. There was so much to do right there, we chose the Trees of mystery & Sky ride, everyone really enjoyed it! Everything we needed was within a few blocks from the home. The house was very clean and comfortable. We would like to come back and spend a week next time so we can see more of Crescent City.

Crescent City has been a vacation destination for my family since 1970. We always find something to do--lighthouse, sea shell gathering, kite flying, thrift shops, Jed Smith, playing cards.We have added jogging along Pebble Beach Drive and geocaching. Brookings also offers great food and now a little pub--the Vibe.Wild River Pizza is our favorite for craft beers and pizza. Missed Fely's for burgers--too busy with other activities to get there before 4:30. Harris Beach is also a great find. Our Lighthouse View vacation rental provided a great base camp to gather, sleep, fix meals, and catch up on our lives since our son moved to Wyoming. We enjoyed the hominess, location, layout, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and well stocked cooking utensils. The roominess in the kitchen made it easy for everyone who wanted to help out with cooking and dishes. The owners have given it a comfy feel with the gas fireplace, which they had going upon our arrival. Beth is gracious in accepting reservations and timely in providing confirmation and details. Our second, and not the last, stay at this clean, well-maintained house was very rewarding. Lots of local attraction information available at the house. Looking forward to more visits. I would recommend this home for a get away place on the northern California coast.

This is a cute little vacation home just a minute walk from a beautiful little stretch of beach with an awesome view of Battery Point Lighthouse! There were two queen beds, a big futon, and a pull-out couch, so there were more than enough options for myself, my parents, and my two children to sleep. =] The house was well-stocked with everything we needed. The only thing we found ourselves missing was a hot-tub...and the vacation would've been complete! The room upstairs was perfect for watching the waves with our coffee in the morning. It was a beautiful view! We collected many ocean treasures and my folks got a weekend of real quality time with their grandchildren here. It was peaceful and relaxing for all of us! Thank You!!

We can't wait to return to this extremely comfortable, immaculate and well-stocked seaside home! The four of us (two couples) spent 3 nights here for our annual Super Bowl weekend getaway and we were not disappointed in any way with the accomodations, amenities. nor location. We are avid football fans, but we somehow managed to miss the first 10 minutes of the game, although we didn't care because we were enjoying our leisurely trek back from the Battery Point lighthouse.....now that was a first! With daytrips to the Brookings and Gold Beach, OR area and hikes amongst the redwoods and along the local beaches, our long weekend was truly relaxing and rejuvenating. Dealing with Beth and Clark Moore was a warm, professional experience from the very first contact and we can't wait to return to their lovely Lighthouse View home..

What a wonderful place to stay! The house is clean, comfortable, very well stocked, and very conveniently located. We have rented other houses on the coast and they always had a mildewy-moldy smell to them - not LIghthouse View. The beds were comfy too. The beach is easily accessible, and the lighthouse is only a walk away. We spent one afternoon walking the beach, then to the lighthouse and thru the beautiful park. Another day we drove up to Brookings for the day. Crescent City is such a gem and I can't imagine a better place to stay than Lighthouse View. It felt like home :)

We (two couples) stayed there in Oct. The house is very comfortable. The kitchen is large and open. The best part is the observation room upstairs. The owners were very good to deal with and informative. It's a good location to explore the coast and the Redwoods. Good Harvest restaurant is nearby and one of our favorites.

We have rented lots of houses for vacations throughout the country. This house is by far the cleanest we have ever stayed in! The views of the lighthouse are amazing. We hiked in the Redwood Forest. Enjoyed coming back to very quiet and peaceful house! Only stayed two nights as we were traveling north up the Oregon Coast from here.

Beach Home Base

Our family of 4 - 2 adults/2 teenagers - spent a week here. It was our base camp for daily excursions to other beaches, hikes, local activities and one overnight stay by Crater Lake. The house and location were wonderful. The house is comfortable, clean, well located and very well stocked with basic cooking supplies (spices, flour, oil, etc.) and household items. Having internet connection was great and we also enjoyed watching a ton of movies at night - something we don't have/take time to do when we are at home. The sun room is an added bonus. The beds and fouton are very comfortable. The most wonderful thing was getting up for morning low tide. What an experience for our girls who had never been to the ocean before. Such a simple thing was breathtaking even for someone who had spent time at the ocean before. Thank you Beth and Clarke for such a lovely place to stay.

Perfect Beach Cottage

Lighthouse View was the fifth house we have rented in Crescent City and by far the best. The observation room with it's amazing views is charming and relaxing. The location is perfect. You can walk to the beach in about 1 minute! We didn't want to leave!

My family of six stayed at the Lighthouse View vacation home. It is so clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable,and the kitchen has all the equipment we needed for making meals. We enjoyed the walk to the lighthouse, park, and beach, which are all very close. It is close to the sites we wanted to visit. I would recommend it to friends and family who are looking for somewhere to stay in Crescent City.

We stayed a week and totally enjoyed the home, Crescent City, and all the hiking in the area. House was immaculate and the observation room was spectacular. Beth provided all kinds of helpful information about the area, including recommended hikes. We very much enjoyed being within walking distance of the lighthouse, the beach and the downtown stores. Every day was an adventure and it was nice to come back to a comfortable, clean home. We loved our vacation!

A cozy home away from home at the beach! Thank you for sharing your clean & welcoming house. Our boys didn't want to leave. They loved spotting the lighthouse light at night & spying through the little triangle "spy window" on the stairs. Your home offered lots of opportunities for them to use their imagination. Perfect location amidst God's creation of his majestic redwoods & powerful ocean. Looking forward to a return visit at the Lighthouse home.

The vacation home was easy to find, It was very clean, and cozy. Easy access to the beach. The beach is fun to comb. The owners are very nice and provided us with information for hikes and things to do. Time slowed down for us in the short stay we had at your home. You created such a warm and welcoming place in which we could recharge our "batteries" and enjoy the melding of land and sea. We've stayed in many vacation rentals, but truly felt at home here. Bravo! A job well done! The design of the house, location, and the decor truly fed our souls.

I spent 2 weeks at this lovely spot in late August. The weather was perfect and the scenery breathtaking. The home is so comfortable and cozy, perfect for ocean viewing in the upstairs sitting area. This is a great location for day trips to the surrounding redwood forests and beautiful beach vistas all along the California coast and Southern Oregon. The owners were especially hospitable and welcoming. I would recommend this for anyone, whether for a family vacation or a quiet getaway for some solitary enjoyment.

We enjoyed our visit to Crescent City, Ca and found the lighthouse view home equipped with anything we needed. It was VERY CLEAN and was perfect for two couples, however, it would be great for a family also. We had a couple of grandkids stay with us one night and they loved the observation room. The room was also great for evening wine and visiting. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone . So nice for walks and the scenery is unbelievable! We did alot of fishing and crabbing and were able to bring home ample amounts of both. We so enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying in this beautiful home on our next vacation! We would also like to recommend the Red Rover Ranch for a great dog motel! Thank you Beth for recommending it. Also, the seal hospital is a must. My grandkids love it and we were able to watch a baby harbor seal have its feeding. We also took a beautiful drive to Brookings, Or and had a great dinner at The Onion. The public swimming pool was a great treat for the grandkids. Only complaint I heard was that they were so strict. Another treat--spices in the cupboards, paper towels, tp, laundry detergent, condiments in the refrigerator, so we did not have to spend our whole budget on those things. It was also nice to be able to leave a few things and not have to haul them back with us. All in all, this is a great property and I would recommend it to family and friends The house was super and we will be back!

House is as nice as posted photos and well maintained! House was closer to ocean then expected. Conveniently located to all the redwoods you'd want to see. Observation room is a great gathering place to enjoy the ocean and lighthouse views. The owner kept us well informed on all to do in the Northern Ca/Southern Or area. We enjoyed our stay in Crescent City. We had a much needed day of sun and great weather to explore the redwoods the other days when we made it to Stout Grove and the end of Boy Scout Tree Trail, both of which were breathtaking. It was so nice to get away from the craziness of every day life and enjoy the calm quiet. We enjoyed our birdseye view of the ocean and lighthouse from our room, as well as the smell of the ocean. Our only complaint is that we don't have another week to sit and relax. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

We loved our family vacation/home school field trip to Northern California. The Lighthouse View Vacation Home has been a great base of operations and place of retreat and rest. We have seen and experienced so many great parts of this area and have formed some great family memories. We loved coming "home" here. Beth & Clarke, your home is wonderfully equipped, situated, and maintained. The views of the ocean, the lighthouse, and Crescent City Harbor are beautiful from the observation room. My sister and brother-in-law brought me to California from Ohio as a gift. Your beautiful home was part of that gift. WOW! Not only were the sights and attractions amazing- But this home is nothing short of perfect! This has to be the most perfect, clean, spotless, handy comfortable place I have ever stayed in. Our family of six had a wonderful time here. The house was perfect for our family and we loved seeing the rocky beach and lighthouse from the home. It was a perfect location for going north to Bandon Oregon and south to Eureka. We explored the coastline, played on the beach, hiked the redwoods, and loved it all! One of our favorites was walking down to the beach after dinner to watch the night fall over the ocean. Thank you so much!

Four gals form Austin, TX, San Jose, CA, & 2 from Ashland, OR ran away from home to play and be inspired by girl talk that has spanned 20 years. Thank you for the perfect spot for us to gather. My wife & I had a great time here. It was alot nicer than staying in a motel like we usually do. We did a little crabbin' and walked to the beach some. Pretty nice throwing on a couple of steaks on the barbi instead of eating out. We come over every month or so. I'm sure we'll be back.

This is our second stay in your wonderful vacation home. We were here the first time in July 07 after we had purchased a home in Sequim, Wa. We moved from NJ to Sequim and decided to come back to your home in September 08. As always, it was a wonderful stay. Very nice home. Nicely furnished with modern furniture and appliances. Comfortable beds, good views of ocean from upstairs bedroom. Fantastic beach access (just across the street)! Good weather except it was very windy every afternoon... got the feeling that this is normal this time of year. 10 min. walk to Battery Point Lighthouse. Quiet town, not a lot of touristy shops. Gorgeous redwoods short drive away.

Beth, it was such a pleasure to meet you and connect with the owner with her beautiful home. It has been a childhood dream of mine to visit the redwood forest. I have been in awe of the beauty that surrounds Crescent City. We traveled over 3,000 miles by car from South Carolina taking 4 and a half long days to get here. Your home has been the icing on the cake for a childhood dream come true. I immediately felt comfortable when I walked through the door. The views from the observation room are incredible!
