This fantastic, newly furnished, vacation rental will welcome its first guests in the summer of 2013!
Located at the southern tip of lovely Lopez Island, Serenity Point is one of the most spectacular waterfront settings in the San Juan Islands. This five acre property with 600’ of shoreline offers a rare and beautiful private beach, a mooring buoy, moss-covered bluffs with dramatic views of the southern Salish Sea, and a spacious custom residence that will accommodate up to 12 vacation guests.
Featuring generous living spaces, vaulted ceilings, and walls lined with glass and wood, the home is a striking example of contemporary NW architecture. On the main level, the interior rooms extend from a wide gallery hallway. The living room, located at one end of the hall, is a casually grand space that features expansive windows to frame both western and southern waterways, a dramatic stone fireplace, and custom shelving. The kitchen, updated with all new appliances and surfaces, is adjacent to the dining area that offers a second wood-burning fireplace. This area opens onto a large deck/patio with a BBQ. The master bedroom offers a king-sized bed and built in vanities and closets, and a newly updated bathroom complete with bidet and tub. The laundry room is conveniently adjacent to the master bedroom. Also on the main level is a guest bedroom with a queen sized bed and built in desk; this bedroom also features an updated ensuite bath with shower.
On the lower level, the family room contains a pool table. Additionally, there is a bath with dual vanities and shower that is shared by two additional guest rooms, one offering a queen-sized bed, the other two twin beds.
A detached bedroom suite with a queen-size bed, bathroom with shower, and sofabed in a separate room will be available when 9+ guests are accepted. This will be an additional $100 per night plus an additional cleaning fee of $150 per booking.
Homes of this category are rarely available for vacation rental. With its spacious interiors, spectacular setting and beautiful private beach, Serenity Point is destined to become one of the most popular vacation choices!
Please note that although a gradual path leads to the beach, the home is built near a sheer waterfront bluff. Due to the proximity of this element as well as other non-conforming interior and exterior railing conditions, this home is not suitable for children under 10 years of age.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The photos on the website don't do the property justice - the location is fabulousl and the house is beautiful. The few things that needed looking at were being taken care of but overall the place was perfect for our family reunion. Having the private beach really adds a lot to the vacation - kayaking and SUP's got a lot of use - even though it takes muscle to get them up & down the path. We loved the otters and the deer that visited us. You do need a car when staying at this property, but it's great for a tranquility. Loved it :)

Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house had everything we needed--a great view, plenty of room, luxurious linens. The kids were adequately entertained with the ping pong table and surrounding outdoors to explore. My only criticism, which is small, is that the house is so amazing I wish there were more things available to keep us entertained there, such as board games and kayaks available to use in the adjacent bay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: An incredible location on a beautiful island. A stereo would have been nice for some tunes. And some crab shuckers, so we did not destroy our hands eating fresh Dungeness from across the channel. Other than that and a bit of miscommunication when we reserved the place with the rental company on use of the property's buoy, we had an amazing experience. Manager responded on 7/20/2013: We're sorry, we were not aware that the mooring buoy in the bay belonged to this property when you booked your stay.
