"Sunlit Haven" is a modern executive home built in November 2002. All furnishings are new and to a very high standard. (To fully appreciate the quality of our home we recommend that you visit our Virtual Tour below under "Links to more information".) There will be a local management company on-call for your peace of mind.
The property is situated in a small select residential development which has been beautifully landscaped. It is well-maintained and its lakes are home to exotic wildlife. The area is quiet but in easy reach of excellent beaches and many amenities. There is a quiet community swimming pool which is heated throughout the winter months. The property has an open-plan living area, kitchen, breakfast and dining areas, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, den, utility room, and double garage. It is fully air conditioned with ceiling fans throughout. You can either enter the house through a large entrance hall, or through the automatic, remote-controlled, double garage doors.
On your way to the double garage, you will be passing through the utility room, which contains a large washing machine and separate tumble dryer. The living area and master bedroom look out onto the lanai at the rear of the property, where you can swim and sunbathe with a backdrop of beautiful trees.
The kidney-shaped pool (twenty-eight feet long and up to six feet deep) is completely caged in. Apart from the months of approximately November to April, the pool temperature can range from 80-88 F without heating. During the cooler months, the pool can be heated to achieve similar temperatures.
In the great room there is a forty-two inch plasma television (DVD/VCD/CD/MP3-Disc/VHS-Tape player) which can be watched from a comfortable cream leather settee. There is a seventeen-inch flat screen television and clock radio in the master bedroom. There are 180 channels, plus local channels on Dish Network and plenty of books that you are very welcome to read.
In the master bedroom there is a comfortable king-size bed, one king-size bed in the front bedroom, and a queen-size bed in the third bedroom. There is plenty of storage space in all the bedrooms. Each bathroom has large mirrors with vanity units.
The kitchen is well-equipped and user friendly. It has a ceramic fast heat cooker with fan oven, built-in microwave, extractor fan and large dishwasher, American-style refrigerator/freezer with filtered chilled water and quick ice maker, with either crushed ice or ice cubes dispensed from the door. The double sink has a waste disposal unit and filtered drinking water. You would be able to dine al fresco, or take a romantic evening swim in the pool with its soft lighting.
I believe there are 90 golf courses within a 30 mile radius. Most do not require membership. Depending on the time of year and the time of day prices can start from as little as $32 for two including an electric golf cart. The nearest course is only three miles away. Boating, fishing, and sunset cruises are also available. All the major stores and supermarkets are within easy reach.
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from including American, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Cuban, and Mexican. Fast foods and fine dining at unbelievable prices. Plenty of fresh fish and fine steaks. Designer outlet malls are within easy reach.
Sarasota boasts fabulous beaches. The thirty miles of beaches on the offshore islands of Siesta Key, Longboat Key, and Anna Maria, are considered to be among the loveliest in Florida. The nearest beach and marina is Casey Key just over two miles away.
Here you can fish, paracend, hire boats, jet ski, or drink and dine overlooking the intercoastal waterway. You are likely to see pelicans, turtles, dolphins, and other interesting wildlife. Venice Beach, Turtle Beach, and Siesta Key Beach, are all a short car ride away. Siesta Key Beach is famous for its very fine white sand and beautiful sunsets.
Sarasota is said to be the cultural center of Florida. The Asola State Theater is home to one of the area's leading regional theatrical companies. The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall hosts symphony orchestras, jazz, operas and musicals, choral productions, ballets, and performances by Hollywood and Broadway legends.
A short distance away are the Oscar Scherer and Myakka River State Parks. The Oscar Scherer Park is literally next door with sixteen miles of trails to walk or ride. Both salt-water and fresh-water fishing is available, or you may prefer to hire a canoe, or swim in the spring water lake. We are sure you will not be disappointed in our beautiful vacation home!
