Main attractions are the many wild beaches with the ocean either stormy or calm as glass, always calm in the summer. See ocean wildlife such as Orcas, seals, sea lions, otters, eagles, ospreys, owls, grebes, murrellets, scoters and loons. Restaurants serving high quality food from local sources are world reknowned. Salmon and Halibut fishing in the area is tremendous. Whale Watching is well worth the experience. Bring your camera!
Year Purchased: 1997
About the owner: My daughter Jo and myself manage the cottage and live on the estate. The cottage was designed for complete privacy - although if you need/want personal contact we are nearby. We love the Sooke area , know it well and are always delighted to introduce people to it.
Why the Owner Chose Sooke: 1400 ft of wild ocean frontage with two accessible private beaches pretty much sums it up. There are beautiful tall trees, gardens and the beach house
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage: In this Architect designed luxury cottage guests will enjoy the quality linens, the up-to-date kitchen, and the woodstove The cottage is near the point of land known as Otter Point. Otter Point is the only place in the area where you can cast a fishing line from shore and catch a salmon.
