Looking for the perfect setting for a honeymoon, anniversary or a much needed getaway? This large and airy studio benefits from a large expanse of windows on one side and a shaded courtyard on the other. The studio cottage was built in the style of the attached 1926 plantation-style home that also occupies this property. The studio has vaulted ceilings and a large covered lanai.
The studio sits on a large (1/2-acre) corner lot. The mature hedges, shade trees, and palms surrounding the property provide amazing privacy even though you’re just steps away from the beach and a short walk to shops.
A hot tub sits ten feet from the spacious covered private lanai in a quiet courtyard with gas BBQ, outdoor dining table, and chaise lounges. Relax surrounded by lush mature palms, orchids, and other tropical plants with a large Royal Poinciana tree towering overhead.
Beaches
Kihei has some of the best beaches in the world. The house is just 300 feet from the beach so you can grab a mask, snorkel, and fins (provided as a complimentary service) and head down first thing in the morning to swim with the marine life. You’ll probably see large sea turtles while you snorkel. In the winter months, you can view whales from the shoreline as close as 100 yards offshore. Or grab a beach chair and a cold drink and take a very short walk to a private and sandy beach (suitable for small children). Kihei faces west so the sunsets here are amazing. If you’re looking for more excitement, take advantage of the multitude of beaches nearby for body surfing, surfing (you can take lessons at “The Cove” nearby), snorkeling, paddle boarding, or virtually any ocean activity you can think of!
The Town of Kihei
Kihei is a great tropical beach town and everything you need is within walking or cycling distance (cruiser-type bikes are available as a complimentary service). In fact, you may decide to just park the car. Kihei and nearby Wailea are also known for their fabulous golf courses. The Elleaire golf course is nearby as well as five more courses a few miles away. Kalama Park, just one block away, has tennis courts, an in-line skating rink, a skate park, award-winning restaurants, grocery stores, and a multitude of trinket shops.

We enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful scenery as we traveled the entire island learning about Maui’s history and culture. We also loved returning to the studio every night. It was the perfect size and location and the secluded courtyard was a great place to relax. The description of the rental property and the listed amenities were very accurate. Everything was clean and in good condition. We felt safe in the quiet neighborhood and often walked to the library, restaurants, grocery store and the beach. Kym, Kristin and Josh all made our stay comfortable and stress free.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

This place is great. We rented the studio apt. for a week or so in early December and found it just excellent. Very close to Kihei grocery & dining. The bikes and hot tub were wonderful amenities, as were the snorkels, fins and masks. Didn't get a chance to use the double kayak, but maybe next time. It's within walking distance to the Kamaole beaches and the Cove for your surfing lessons. Kristin was very responsive and helpful. The compound of three buildings would be excellent for a family reunion type of event. Hope you enjoy your stay there!

Paradise in Maui

My husband and I had an amazing time in Maui. Our studio was in the perfect location for us as Kihei is very central to all activities on the island and on the less windy side. The studio itself was super clean and well stocked for making your own meals (we loved using the BBQ and eating on our porch!). The hot tub is fabulous and the beach is super close. Next time we come we are going to bring our family and rent more units in this property. With the studio rental we had bikes, boogie boards, a kayak, snorkel gear and more available for our use. We LOVED riding bikes down to check out different beaches (and there is also a beach just down the road that's easy to walk to) and resturants (which are also in close proximity). We would definitely recommend staying here- unless it's the weeks we want to visit! :) Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Our 10 day stay was pleasant. A few things went wrong,as the hot tub was cold which they fixed), one of the bikes we had to get fixed (they reimbursed us!!) and a gas leak so we had no stove/oven for a few days. It was great though! We had family in Kihei as well, so we were eating with them daily anyways. The place is clean and quiet at night. The courtyard is amazing!!! and having those bikes, was also a really big bonus for us! It only takes 10 minutes to bike to Kamaole Beach 3! The beach is a minute walk down the street where you can stroll forever and watch a beautiful sunset. The bed was extremely comforable. I loved the high ceilings and the airy space!

This cottage looked better than the pictures. It was very quiet, clean and comfortable. Everything was provided for our stay including everything needed for a day at the beach. It has a beautiful courtyard, and hot tub. We enjoyed the Java Sparrows everyday right outside the kitchen window. I would not stay at a 5 star hotel/resort if it was free. They can't give you what this cottage was able to give us. We felt like we were living in this neighborhood, and not just visiting. You don't need to have a pool or to be right on the beach. There are plenty of beaches all within a short walk or drive. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and highly recommend this to anyone wanting to have the time of their life.

We stayed in the Studio for our vacation to Maui. We were very happy with the size and amenities. Having a kitchen was awesome to make snacks and cook the occasional dinner when we were tired of eating out. There was even an outside courtyard with a BBQ. The beach bathroom was awesome and Kristin was very helpful. We will stay here every time we come to Maui. Thanks!
