Looking for the perfect setting for a honeymoon, anniversary or a much needed getaway? This large and airy studio benefits from a large expanse of windows on one side and a shaded courtyard on the other. The studio cottage was built in the style of the attached 1926 plantation-style home that also occupies this property. The studio has vaulted ceilings and a large covered lanai.
The studio sits on a large (1/2-acre) corner lot. The mature hedges, shade trees, and palms surrounding the property provide amazing privacy even though you’re just steps away from the beach and a short walk to shops.
A hot tub sits ten feet from the spacious covered private lanai in a quiet courtyard with gas BBQ, outdoor dining table, and chaise lounges. Relax surrounded by lush mature palms, orchids, and other tropical plants with a large Royal Poinciana tree towering overhead.

Beaches
Kihei has some of the best beaches in the world. The house is just 300 feet from the beach so you can grab a mask, snorkel, and fins (provided as a complimentary service) and head down first thing in the morning to swim with the marine life. You’ll probably see large sea turtles while you snorkel. In the winter months, you can view whales from the shoreline as close as 100 yards offshore. Or grab a beach chair and a cold drink and take a very short walk to a private and sandy beach (suitable for small children). Kihei faces west so the sunsets here are amazing. If you’re looking for more excitement, take advantage of the multitude of beaches nearby for body surfing, surfing (you can take lessons at “The Cove” nearby), snorkeling, paddle boarding, or virtually any ocean activity you can think of!
The Town of Kihei
Kihei is a great tropical beach town and everything you need is within walking or cycling distance (cruiser-type bikes are available as a complimentary service). In fact, you may decide to just park the car. Kihei and nearby Wailea are also known for their fabulous golf courses. The Elleaire golf course is nearby as well as five more courses a few miles away. Kalama Park, just one block away, has tennis courts, an in-line skating rink, a skate park, award-winning restaurants, and grocery stores.

I had the pleasure of spending four days at this lovely home in Kihei. Beautifully furnished and decorated, it was also very clean, comfortable and relaxing. It was close to the beach and to tons of restaurants, grocery stores and shops. I stayed in the blue bedroom with twin beds, which were very comfortable. It had a huge closet, and a private outdoor area for relaxing and unwinding. My only regretis that I didn't have time to use the hot tub! I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends who are interested in visiting Maui. I can't begin to tell you how much we love The Plantation Bungalow! If you want to feel like you are at home while in paradise, then this is the place to stay!! The Plantation House is gorgeous! It is so peaceful not to have to deal with the crowds at hotels and condos. I used to work in the travel industry and have experienced a great many hotel and condo properties, but have never found anything like this. Consider me sold! I don't think I could stay anywhere else now. My husband and I have stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage once before, but we stayed in the Plantation House this time. Both of them are absolutely wonderful, as is the Studio. We had a group of 8 people on this trip, and we ended up renting all 3 of the units on the property. It worked out perfectly. I don't think any hotel or condo property could have accommodated our group so well. One of my favorite parts about this property (I think my companions would agree) was the courtyard. It was such a lovely spot for us to gather. We spent quite a lot of time there. The front yard of the house is also great and so private! Everything you could possibly need is provided (beach chairs, towels, etc), and there is so much to do within walking or bike riding distance. There are 2 bikes on the property, which is wonderful. Having the kitchens and BBQ's available for preparing our own meals was fantastic. The grocery store is also within walking or riding distance. If you don't want to cook, there are countless great restaurants around, again all within walking or riding distance. There is a washer and dryer available to do your clothes. I have and would again recommend this property to anyone. To sum it up, my husband and I absolutely LOVE The Plantation Bungalow, and we will be back again and again and again... We had the pleasure of staying in this home for 2 months and it far exceeded our expections! I was very surprised by the size of the house, it was much bigger than the photos showed. The house is very clean and has everything you will need for a perfect beach holiday in Maui. The property manager and owner are only to happy to help and were most helpful during our stay. The house has a wonderful feel and is perfect for entertaining. We have two small children, so to find the house to be soo spacious was a welcome surprise. The master bedroom has an impressive Eastern King bed!! very comfortable. I highly recommend this property for anyone going to Maui! We loved the plantation house! It was so relaxing with everything we needed and just a short walk to bars, restaurants, a grocery story and a kids park, where our 4 year old spent quite a lot of time making new friends. Plantation bungalow was so very enjoyble for our stay in Maui. The accommodations were stocked full of everything you need for a convenient stay, lots of toys for kids, comfy beds, great location and management were sooooooo wonderful and hospitable! Totally enjoyed our stay at the Plantation Bungalow! The house is beautiful and well equiped. Krisitn was very helpful and Kimmie made sure things were in good shape and supplies stocked. The bikes (good old cruisers) and kayak were nice to have. The surf boards were not well matched to the waves at Cove Park, but there was a good selection of snorkels/fins/masks/boggie boards. The court yard and hot tub were also very enjoyable. We have been to Maui many times and very familiar with Kihei. This was the ideal location and home for my families first trip to Maui. There were five adults and the house was plenty spacious for all of us. It was nice being able to cook out on the BBQ and eat outside in the beautiful garden area. Every night we were around we walked the short block to the beach to watch the sunset and whales jumping! This house is in great condition and fully stocked with anything you could imagine, snorkel gear, lounge chairs, beach towels and even a kayak! This is a beautiful home. Kristin was wonderful and very helpful. We were there for 4 days, (not enough) and found the home to be very accommodating. We loved the fact that there were bicycles there so we could ride down to the coffee house and around the beach area in the mornings. Absolutely gorgeous house. I felt like I was walking into the pages of Coastal Living Magazine. We could not have asked for a better place to stay than this home. The bathroom and kitchen tiles were so cute and the decor was fabulous. Kristin was so friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this house to anyone going to Maui and will definitely be back.
