The home has been completely renovated so it is comfortable and attractive. The owner was very nice; she was responsive to our questions and needs. The only big negative is that the bathroom door downstairs does not close because it is too big for the door frame. My sleeping downstairs was often disrupted by the wrenching sound made by the door when others tried to force it open or closed. We would consider staying here again if the door can be trimmed down so it opens/closes easily.

Excellent Central Location for Minneapolis
Excellent Central Location for Minneapolis
Although currently living in Portland, I lived in Minneapolis for nearly 20 years. In fact, the first house I owned was just 10 blocks from this rental. The house was perfect for our needs. We met up with another family and the house layout allowed each of the two families to have its own "suite". There is a living room, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the main floor as well as in the basement. The house has just been remodeled and so it looks sparkling new. The only difference really between the two levels is that the basement has a shower while the main floor has a bathtub/shower combination. The location is perfect. The house is in the University of Minnesota Dinkytown area, just northeast of downtown. One of the main bus lines runs on Como Avenue a block from the house. The Quarry shopping area (grocery store, Target, Home Depot, etc.) is a short drive away which made it easy to get supplies. The landlords were very helpful. I especially loved that we didn't need to do any tasks when checking out. Other places we have rented have required us to wash the towels and sheets, sweep the kitchen, etc. None of this was required and saved us some time and energy. I will certainly stay here again for next year's trip to Minneapolis.

Very nice. We had a great stay. We walked to Dinky Town and visited the Brewery District. Was really glad not to have to drive home the day after the Tom Petty concert. The weather was perfect for grilling out.

This was a wonderful property. It suited us great. The property was beautifully remodeled and the finishes were pristine. We had never stayed in a vacation rental home before and it was a wonderful experience. The kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of dishes, cookware etc. having kids, it was great being able to go on walks around the neighborhood or to the market during down times. I was worried about running out of hot water but even with all of the showers back to back we never had a problem. The only issue that we had was ants. Most homes have encountered this from time to time. Angie responded immediately to the issue (within 30 mins). I still fought with them during our stay but they were never overwhelming. Also, if you have young children I would advise you to bring a baby gate. I have a 1 1/2 year old that loves stairs so we just put up a baby gate between the living room/ kitchen. Overall, a wonderful stay. I would definitely stay again.

Great Place for Family Gathering
Great Place for Family Gathering
My family of 12 gathered in Minneapolis for our daughter's graduation. Most of us stayed at this home. It has been completely redone --everything was fresh and in good working order. Queen beds in every room were very comfortable, and lots of pillows were available. New windows and screens in all the rooms made it possible to get good air circulation -- although there is also central air. We were able to host a family dinner here. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Although our group couldn't fit around the dining room table, were places for everyone to sit and had it not been raining, a picnic table we could have used in the back yard. Angie was great to deal with -- very responsive. In sum, I highly recommend this rental!

About the owner: We (Angie & Matt) are among the first VRBO owner/operators to begin operating vacation rentals in Minneapolis 6+ years ago. After having traveled many places & using VRBO frequently, we felt strongly that visitors to Minneapolis would appreciate the same amenities you can only find in a house when traveling here. We now operate 6 vacation rentals all which are seasonal, with the majority of our availability June 1st through August 28th of each year. We work hard to ensure all of our guests enjoy the vacation rentals that we offer & we continue to make upgrades yearly. We are local & grew up in the area. We have lived in the neighborhood where all of our vacation rentals are located for 10+ years & we are happy to offer suggestions or answer any questions our guests have.
Why the Owner Chose Minneapolis:
This house was completely renovated in the Winter/Spring of 2013 so everything is brand new! The home is also centrally located with easy access to downtown Minneapolis, downtown St Paul, the University of MN, Mall of America, the MSP International Airport, etc We (the owners & managers) live two blocks away so if there is anything you need, we are close by!
