We had a fabulous two week stay in the honeymoon cottage. Everything was so clean, comfortable and quiet. Jonathon’s place has all the amenities you need for an extended vacation---fully stocked kitchen, lots of bath and beach towels, laundry room. The place was immaculate (not so much by the time we left----how does the beach sand get absolutely everywhere?) There was plenty of storage space for our belongings. Being the female half of our pair, I brought WAY too much stuff!) We stayed in a futon at the last condo we stayed in Maui two years ago---not pleasant! The bed in the cottage is uber comfortable. It was great to relax watching Netflicks and The Colbert Report on the bedroom television—something we don’t normally do too much of at home. We loved BBQing and lounging in the beautiful, private backyard that had plenty of chairs and a great picnic table area. At night we loved dining by tiki torch--- ---so private, quiet and NOT resort noisy. Being from Seattle, you get in a hot tub mostly to warm up during the long winters, so we were wondering what one does with a hot tub in sunny eighty degree Maui. However, after long days of hiking, boogie boarding and the oh-so-hard work of vegging on the beach, it was so relaxing to soak tired muscles in the outside hot tub and be caressed by the evening tradewinds---a great end to a great day! Thanks to the well-stocked “toy shed” we had absolutely everything we could want for long days on the beach----beach umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, coolers, snorkeling gear and, best of all, an inflatable bright green raft we fondly named the “green flash”. Thanks to the boogie boards in the toy shed, we discovered our own passion for “riding the waves” that kick up in the afternoon. So, the schedule for a perfect day in Maui? For us it was: Snorkling at Turtle Town by 8:00 am, followed by breakfast at Kihei Café Beach lounging between 11 and 2 (Our favorites were Wailea and Boogie boarding to take advantage of the afternoon winds Appetizers at the Monkey Pod by 4:30 followed by a soak in the hot tub! We had a great time in the cottage. Jonathan was very attentive to all of our needs, providing great Hawaiian hospitality (even though he’s New Yorker?) Mahalo, Jonathon, for everything! Maui Getaway

We felt welcomed at the private home and enjoyed all of the amenities. The location was good, and the accommodation clean, with everything needed in the kitchen, as well as bath. In terms of improving our stay, our only suggestion has to do with the fans. Because it was not advised to use the air conditioning system at night, we tried using both fans. Unfortunately, the one in the living room area was noisey (not conducive to light sleepers), and the one above the bed could not be regulated to any speed other thn high, which was too much. As a result, we experienced some stuffy, warn nights.

Owner response:Sorry that you had an issue with the ceiling fans but had you mentioned it while you were here, we would have helped you find the bedroom fan's remote controller hiding in the night stand drawer,we could also have checked the living room fan. We are here on property to attend to our guest's needs and to assure them a consistent 5 Star Experience. Mahalo for the feedback.

Wonderful property, well maintained with all the ammenities you could ever need. Our first trip to Maui was amazing because this property is so centrally located to great beaches, food, fun and sunsets!!! The owner was very knowledgable and helpful telling us about the "greatest" spots on Maui and saved us from making mistakes :) Thanks for a memorable trip. We will definately return and stay again!

Johnathon-Thank you so much for a fantastic stay at your cottage! You've really thought of everything, from the great bed and fully stocked kitchen to the bikes and snorkel gear! We loved everything about your place-not to mention Happy Hour in the backyard before grilling dinner. It was a nice "plus" to be able to grab a couple of beach chairs and a cooler and hit the beach. We had an amazing time and can't wait to come back. I'll be recommending your place to everyone I know heading to Maui. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Jonathan ~ Thank you so much for allowing us to rent from you! We very much enjoyed everything about our stay, from the backyard and laundry room, to the snorkel gear and neighbors (Buddy).We used the snorkel gear almost daily. I also left a pair of aqua shoes in a size 6 (I wear size 7-8, but the came big) - the only sizes were too big for me! This is a perfect destination for a couple looking for a romantic and relaxed visit to Maui. It’s a great location close to beaches, grocery stores, and restaurants and the neighborhood is peaceful. The living space is idealistic for honeymooners, comfortable and cute. We stayed for 10 days and made full use of the kitchen, both the inside and outside Jacuzzi’s, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, and bikes! Easily a worth $200/night. Thanks Jonathon!

This was our third trip to Maui and it was indeed the best. We stayed in the Honeymoon Cottage and it was fantastic. The shower was the best I have ever been in and the bed very comfortable. This place is picture perfect (I could live there). The cottage has top of the line appliances and is equipped with everything you would need to make your stay just perfect. The grounds are maintained to perfection. The cottage is also very close to shopping and beaches which was a huge plus for us. I will be returning again, perhaps staying in the main house, studio or we just might have to stay in the cottage again because we had a great time there. What a great unit! This upstairs apt. had everything we needed for our two week stay in Kihei. Perfect for a couple. Wndows everywhere offered an option to A/C (which worked fine) but we preferred the gentle tradewinds that blew through. The lush back yard is lovely. We used the grill and the hot tub regularly. Having a hose to clean off our snorkel gear every night was a huge plus. Jonathan is a wonderful host and we will come back again. Mahalo Jonathan!

An absolutely beautiful home with plenty of sun light, very well designed layout with pleasant happy colors all throughout. Owner has put a lot of thought and efforts into making a perfect home away from home, everything you can possibly need on your vacation is right there, so functional & so at home! The most impressive is how clean & well- maintained the entire place is. How much do we love it? Well, let's just say we wish we owned the place! Doris & Han.

This place is perfect! We loved the location in a quiet neighborhood near Kihei Road, near the grocery store, near the beach and park. The backyard is wonderful - nice grass, hot tub, bbq grill. The guest house is great - bed is super comfy with cushy pillow top, full kitchen with pots, pans and dishes all in excellent condition, whirlpool tub in bathroom, Ipod dock. We just can't say enough about how wonderfully perfect it was. We hope to return to Maui someday and will ABSOLUTELY stay here again. We've already recommended it to friends!! Thanks guys!

We stayed at this property for our honeymoon for a little over 3 weeks and we loved it! We used the kitchen a lot and it had everything we needed. We rented a car, loaded it up every day with boogie boards, a cooler, towels, and snorkel gear -all provided there at the house. It was easy to get anywhere on the island and we wouldn't have done it any different if we were to do it again!

Hey Jonathan... The cottage was so cute and cozy, perfect for a honeymoon. We were only there for a few days so we didn't really get to use the handy gear you had there (snorkeling gear, boogie boards, etc.) but it was a great location and the water was beautiful!! Thanks for everything!

Jonathan, Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the awesome accommodations in Maui. Scott and I loved the place and we are already planning a return trip. I've checked your calendar, and hopefully we'll soon know when we're coming and you will have availability. Cindie was absolutely wonderful and we appreciated all of her help and tips. You are lucky to have her on site, she does a great job. We did replace the boogie board (waves were a little rough and it broke), but there was a strap we lost from one of the snorkel fins which we were unable to find a replacement for. If you have any idea where we could find a replacement strap, we'd be happy to replace it. Hana ended up being dry and beautiful, so I'm glad we made the trip there. Well, just wanted to say thanks again. The place is gorgeous, the bed comfy and the kitchen has just about everything you could need. We enjoyed grilling fresh Ahi and Salmon from the Eskimo Candy fish market nearby. Little Beach and Big Beach at Makena were my favorites! Everything was really convenient to the condo. Fantastic spot! Clean, quiet, private & purely residential. Has everything you could possibly need & more. Cool danish modern styling with a Hawaiian sensibility. By far, this cottage is one of the rare few on vrbo that i would highly recommend to our friends and family and that we will stay at again. Next time, we will pack much lighter- anything you could possibly want/need is readily available- with the local Starbucks/Blockbuster/ Safeway/restaurants just around the block. Also the cottage is in a great location, making it easy to go anywhere on the island. No need to rent snorkle gear or beach mats/chairs- all were there ready for us to use. We truly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to returning. Mahalo John- your place is really a gem! Aloha!!
