Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: I grew up in southern Buchanan county, about 60 miles west of here. In 2007 I retired after 30 some years in the petroleum business, the last 27 in Alaska.
Why the Owner Chose Guttenberg:
My retirement project involved renovation of a large stone building next door to this house. My wife and I lived here until we completed the larger stone building last winter. This property became part of 'River Park Place', a conference center and collection of modern studio apartments housed in historic stone buildings.
