Stunning "Dream Catcher", built in 2004, is a log home peacefully situated on almost two acres of lush woods. The sounds of flowing water serenade the cabin whose porch overlooks a meandering stream. Located in the beautiful Riverbend community, "Dream Catcher" is our dream come true. Upon entering its warm embrace, you too will relax in its charm.
We left out nothing when breathing life into this already lovely log cabin. Open beam construction and beautifully decorated featuring three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, basement playroom, loft, family room with wood burning fireplace and stocked kitchen. There is even a mud room with washer/dryer and utility sink with access to the three sided deck so the kids can kick off their dirty boots after an afternoon of playing in the creek.
"Dream Catcher" is a non-smoking, dog friendly cabin that sleeps ten people comfortably with two king beds, one queen, two twins and a trundle that sleeps two. It is cozy for just two, but its thoughtful layout makes it easy for large families to spread out. Stake your claim on a quiet place to relax and read a book, head to the basement to play foosball or air hockey, or pick one of two televisions featuring satellite and VCR/DVD.
We can't think of many things better than awakening in the morning and enjoying that first cup of coffee on the deck while listening to the creek make its way from the gentle waterfall in back and down the side of the cabin. You can choose to stay there all day and relax or plan your day to any one of the many activities Lake Lure and the surrounding area has to offer.
"Dream Catcher" is located in the planned community of Riverbend while maintaining the woods and natural charm of its lovely terrain where we often see deer and wild turkey. It features two private lakes with beach and picnic area. The Broad River is there for you to enjoy activities such as fishing, tubing, or canoeing/kayaking. Lake Lure is gorgeous with rock faces to the water and boasts a fun beach/water park with many lifeguards on duty in season. You may decide to play golf at one of the three courses nearby, play tennis or basketball near the lake, or rent a boat and enjoy skiing, tubing or knee boarding while learning new techniques from your personal certified instructor. Lovely evening cruises are a wonderful way to view Lake Lure's beauty and leave every hour at the beach's marina.
Nearby Chimney Rock is a fun little town offering unique shops, restaurants, and access to the river where we love to take our ice cream cones and go "rock hopping." While not getting wet is the challenge, it is also the most fun! If you want to venture away, you have your choice of such things as hiking in any one of the many state parks nearby, or visiting towns including Asheville and tour the Biltmore Estates and Winery. We have even enjoyed the local flavor at one of North Carolina's state rodeo competitions. The beauty of having your space here is the mountains offer something for everyone.
