This luxurious two bedroom, two bath condo is on the tenth floor at Surfside Resort, a BEACHFRONT building, just east of Destin. This west-side unit has a fine ocean view and a partial view to the north of Seascape golf course and the bay beyond. It offers covered parking and free wi-fi for your laptops.
High ceilings, mirrored walls, tile floors, and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors create a feeling of spaciousness in this comfortable 1150 sq. ft. condo. Recently redecorated,it has a stylish contemporary tropical decor. All rooms have floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening onto the 28 ft. balcony which is furnished for outdoor dining and sunning.
The kitchen is fully-equipped with glasstop range, built-in microwave, all dishes, wares, utensils and small appliances. The eat-in area has a great view of the beach.
All linens are furnished except beach towels. Condo has a FULL-SIZE WASHER and DRYER.
Sleeping arranagements: The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the living area--great for two couples. The 12 x 18 master features a king-size bed, two walk-in closets, and a large remodeled bath. You can lie in the bed and see the surf and HEAR THE WAVES. The second bedroom contains two double beds and has its own full bath. Each bedroom has a TV and DVD. The sofa-bed sleeps two for added flexibility.
In addition to the heated pool and the beach, Surfside has two hot tubs, dry suana, and a kiddie pool. There's also a picnic area with charcoal grills and another picnic area overlooking the beach. For exercise we offer a well-equipped workout room, two tennis courts and a basketball court. Within a mile are grocery stores, Silver Sands Designer Outlet Mall, the Shops of Sandestin, Baytowne Wharf, and numerous restaurants.
The up-scale building is unique in Destin featuring concrete and steel construction, unusual angled floor plans, and carpeted interior hallways. The public areas at Surfside have recently been renovated, and our beach has been renourished since the hurricanes. COVERED PARKING means your car is always in the shade.

Why the Owner Chose Surfside
When we began anticipating retirement, we wanted to find a 2nd home on a beautiful beach within easy driving distance from Atlanta. Destin is absolutely the best beach town we've ever visited. Surfside is a particularly sturdy building in a great location near the best shopping and entertainment.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Over the years, we have enjoyed fixing up our condo, redecorating it to make it just like home--only better. We have a wonderful gulf view from our balcony, and often eat all our meals out there. The sugar-sand beach is only a few feet from the front door of the building. We love to get fresh seafood from the local market, cook it at home, and enjoy it with a great bottle of wine overlooking the ocean, the sound of waves for background music. Ah-h-h, life is good.

I'm a retired English teacher and my husband, from Madrid, Spain, is a retired restaurant owner. We live in suburban Atlanta. Since we have lots of free time now, we grow tomatoes, read, watch HGTV and PBS, go out ballroom dancing on weekends, and cook fancy dinners for friends and family. We spend a lot of time at the beach off-season. The snow white sand and turquoise waters are simply awesome !

Three of my gfriends and I just returned from Destin and staying at this condo. It was perfect! Well kept, clean, easy access, all amenities were provided. The owner provided excellent instructions and helpful tips. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone. Oh...did I mention that it is across the street from an outlet mall??? lol Also, the view of the gulf was beautiful, and we had easy access to the beach. We were there playing golf. Played Kelly Plantation and the Falcon at Eglin AFB. Both are very nice courses. I highly recommend this condo to anyone...we plan to visit again.

Condo was nicely decorated, the furniture comfortable. The best part was the balcony & the view! What a pleasure to sit out there & view the Gulf. We enjoyed that beach & the water. The condo was very clean & well supplied. We did find that many restaurants were somewhat pricey, especially when they were on the water. We did enjoy the restaurant right on site. Had a great meal. We took one day to drive to Pensacola & visited the Naval Air Museum. Free admission & we would recommend anyone to take the guided tour. Our guide was fantastic & we all learned so much.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+.

We just returned last week from our first time in Destin. What a beautiful place. The condo was lovely. Enjoyed the wonderful balcony with a great view. The living space was great for our family. It is very close to shopping and restaurants and had wonderful places to walk. Easy access to the beach. You couldn't ask for much more.

I had a great experience at Surfside. My six yr old loved it as well. The pool was great along with the beach. I had no problems getting around the place and loved the fact of no check in, just walk right to the room and go in!!

Property was decent with a nice balcony although air conditioning was not very good. The owner also fabricated a story about her maid having to clean up throw up from the kids bathroom. The story was either a complete fabrication or she could of confused our condo with another one that she cleaned that day because we checked everything before we left and the condo was in very good condition. As a result the owner kept some of the deposit. In any case, we would never stay here again because the owner did not follow through with her obligation to refund full deposit and considering the price we paid, we could of done an all inclusive at a better location for the same price.
Owner response:It is true that this guest and his family did not damage anything. We ask that our guests, on the morning of departure, do a few things to speed up the cleaning process; among these are to load and start the dishwasher and wash a load of towels and get them into the dryer. These things were not done, and therefore the cleaners had to stay extra time to wait on laundry to dry. There were four sets of bedding, a LOT of towels, and some other cleaning issues which took extra time. The cleaners charged me $50 for the extra time involved to make the condo ready for the guests arriving later that day. I refunded $150 of the $200 deposit. This is my 10th year of handling my own rentals, and only three times have I deducted part of the deposit. My guests are normally gracious and helpful. Re inadequate AC: The building maintenance folks went up to check on the problem and found the a previous guest had moved the slats to partially close off the vent to this room. Easily remedied and working fine now.

The condo was great. The location was perfect and the beds were really comfortable! The only reason I did not give this an excellent rating is because we have 3 kids 6 years and under and I wouldn't say it was the most kid friendly condo/property for children under 6. The owner is very helpful, the photos are accurate and the unit is well maintained. If you have older kids or are going with adults only I would definitley recommend.

Had a great time at this condo! The owner was extremely nice and accomodating. We would recommend it again and again, as well as the building as a whole. We've been coming to Surfside for 5+ years and it fits our needs perfectly. Right on the beautiful white beach, close to everything, and friendly people. Thanks for a great week.
