Bennett Springs cabin description
Trout fish all day at nationally renowned Bennett Spring State Park, then journey back to this isolated luxury cabin only 5 miles from the park. This amazing cabin lies in the middle of 70 acres, and is atop a majestic Ozarks bluff. Relax in the screened in front porch while admiring an extraordinary view. From the porch, one can literally see for miles! This cabin does come with Niangua river access and a PRIVATE gravel bar for our guests. Once on the gravel bar, one can enjoy more fishing, swimming, and fun in the sun.
The cabin is great for 1-2 families or a group of friends on vacation together. While staying at the cabin your group will have complete privacy . No crowded campgrounds or hotels! Two full bedrooms with king sized beds, a sleeping loft with four twin beds, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area will accommodate up to 10-12 people. Cave Creek has an open floor plan so it is easy to gather around the wood fireplace or the the large kitchen table to visit. The cabin is finished with rock, barn wood and drywall on the inside and rock and metal on the outside. Rustically finished, but with all the amenities you have come to expect.
This cabin is owned and operated by Riverfront Campground. Since 1994 Riverfront has offered scenic float trips down the Niangua River. All peak-season summer time guests must make their floating reservations via Riverfront. We rent rafts, canoes, kayaks, and tubes. We offer short floats of 3-5 miles and longer floats ranging from 7-8 miles. The Niangua River is a spring feed and is absolutely beautiful. Shuttle service can be arranged for all scheduled river trips for $5.00/person or a minimum of $50.00. Reservations for floating can be made by contacting us at Riverfront. Myself and a group of 9 stayed at Cave Creek and it was nothing short of amazing! Beautiful view, and fairly close to the river. Such a peaceful setting, and the cabin itself is awesome. I would highly recommend this Cabin for anyone looking for a getaway! We are already talking about going back!

We had a group of 14 stay in this cabin and we all enjoyed our stay. We were very pleased with the cabin and loved the way the inside looked. The openness of the front room and kitchen area were great. It was well maintained and very clean. It was very helpful that the kitchen included everything we needed. It was a little bit of a walk to the our private river access, but it was well worth it. I recommend packing what you want for the afternoon if you plan on being at your private access for a long period of time so you don't have to walk back and forth. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The bus driver kept us all laughing on the ride over to our float trip. I would recommend this cabin to everyone. We plan on making this an annual trip and can't wait until next year.

Owner response: Angie, I am glad you took the time to leave the review of Cave Creek Cabin. We value your input!! We look forward to having the Daniels family back in 2014. Thanks, Amanda
This cabin is in the middle of NO where, you need 4 wheel drive to get to it. River access, LOL, that is a lie. Upon arrival there was a musty smell. It wasn't till we went to bed that we noticed the mold on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms, we open the closet and the entire ceiling as well as the wall is covered in mold. The next morning when we went to the office before floating down the river the staff acted like they knew nothing about this. They asked if they could go check it out during our 6 hr float. When we arrived back at the cabin we discovered they had come in and painted over the mold and put fans in the bedroom. Upon talking to the owner, he told us the mold wasn't that bad and the roof leaks and it will cost him $10,000 to replace and he is already losing money on the cabin. When we said we were going to call the health department because that much mold is unsafe for anyone he told us we had 1 hour to be off the property and he was calling the sheriff. The sheriff showed up walked through the cabin to ensure we left it without any damage, of course we had not damaged a thing and had left everything just has we had found it and even washed all the towels before we were evicted. Long story short, the owner knows about the mold and just keeps covering it up with paint, that is why he has paint and rollers handy in the shed out back.

Owner response: As with any business there are unhappy customers. The individual that left this review was part of a group that was evicted due to poor behavior. We have owned our business since 1994 and have never had to evict anyone from one of our cabins, until this group that is. Cave Creek is our most popular cabin. It is located just 5 miles from Bennett Spring State park and people drive cars straight to the cabin all summer long, no 4x4 required :-). In response to the "mold" issue, Shannon from the Dallas County Missouri Health Department inspected the home following this incident. There were no issues found. There is also information available from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office in reference to the call deputies responded to. Thanks, Amanda
Two families with young kids shared this cabin and it was ideal. Even with bad weather that kept us indoors a couple of days, we still had plenty of space to spread out. The cabin interior was very clean and nicely up-dated. The views from the river bluff and cabin are beautiful. Kids had wonderful adventures exploring the woods and river bank. The remoteness of the area was very quiet and peaceful! The cabin owners were very friendly and great to work with. We hope to visit again!

About the owner: The Glendenning's have been a part of the Bennett Spring area for four generations. In 1994, our family purchased Riverfront Campground. Riverfront is a 250 acre camping paradise just 1/4 mile west of Bennett Spring State Park. We strive to offer the most Family Friendly campground on the Niangua River. With outstanding customer service, Riverfront has continued to prosper.
Why the Owner Chose Bennett Springs:
This property became available in 2011, and we just had to jump on it. What a fantastic addition to our business. This is the ONLY private cabin with river access on the Niangua River.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The rustic construction of this cabin is truly amazing. All our guests tend to comment on the uniqueness of Cave Creek Cabin. This cabin has an AMAZING view of the Missouri Ozarks from the front porch. The private gravel bar is so much fun. Our groups never need to worry about sharing the river with others because the river access is on private property. There are great swimming holes, a few rapids, and fishing all at the gravel bar.
