This home has been in the same family since 1923, when it was one of the two original homes in Oceanside, Oregon. Updated in the early 1970's and subsequently to year-around comfort, it offers all the amenities to make your vacation enjoyable, at affordable prices.
In Oceanside, a quite little community "at the end of the road" (no highway through traffic!), there are lots of options for a restful vacation. Oceanside's broad, long beach is great for walking and beach-combing, or playing in the surf, windsurfing,surfboarding, etc. Nearby are Cape Lookout State Park, Netarts Bay (great for crabbing) the fishing village of Garibaldi, departure point for deep-sea fishing trips, and the Tillamook Cheese factory.
The house has a garage for one car at street level, and more off-street parking in the driveway, a large bedroom/sitting room and bath on the level above, and on the top level a large living/dining room with windows all around looking out at the ocean and off-shore rocks, fully-equipped kitchen, also with ocean views, a sitting area with cozy fireplace, two more bedrooms, and a second bath.
Everything you'll need is there - just pack up your clothes and toothbrush! A port-a-crib, high chair, and a tub full of toys, are there for little ones who come. If you can draw yourself away from watching the ocean view, there is a library of DVDs and Videos, and cable TV, and a bin full of games for your enjoyment. Internet now available, too.
Great place for romantic get-aways or family get-togethers. Price per day/week dependent on size of party and length of stay.

Your home is comfortable, clean and inviting. We were able to relax and let the storm blow in. The fireplace warmed the upstairs nicely. The winter price was very reasonable for the ocean view and Oceanside community. The only downside to this home is that there are quite a few stairs to climb before we were even at the first level of living space. On the positive side though, this does afford a nice view of the ocean. We would not hesitate to rent from the owners again.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We have stayed at this house many times over the past years. For a family of 5, it is very comfortable and very affordable! It is a short walk to the beach or to Roseanna's--one of the best places to eat on the Oregon Coast! This is among the most enjoyable places we have stayed at Oceanside--and the one we keep returning to year after year. It isn't fancy--but it is a real 'home'--photos on the walls, stuff on the shelves and a kitchen like grandma's! Oceanside itself is one of the Oregon Coast's best kept secrets also...no crowds, no glitz, no hype--just pure relaxation and 'wind down time'. A place where I let my kids go--without me watching them all of the time...
