My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in two of Pat's accommodations this past September and I haven't stopped raving about how great everything was. We spent a quiet week at Inn of the Sea enjoying the peace and relaxation of the ocean. Every morning I woke up to the sounds of the waves, could life get any better! Inn of the Sea is a short distance to Nanaimo... a cute little town with some great attractions. After a week of nothing but relaxation we were ready for an adventure. We packed our stuff up and moved to one of Pat's gorgeous accommodations in Victoria, she gave us a deal because we booked the two locations. I didn't think our trip could get any better but it did... The house was breathtaking! It sits high up on a hill surrounded by trees for privacy and has a hot tub tucked away, we used this everyday. There's also a huge private patio that I spent a ton of time reading and drinking wine... the furnishings, and home itself, are very eclectic with amazing art and just an all around great vibe. Victoria is a great city with so much to offer, we had some of the best meals ever in the city and enjoyed so many fantastic galleries showing local artists work. There was so much to do that I felt we could have stayed longer. We will definitely come back again... to both locations. Thank you so much Pat, you made our vacation that much more special.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you so much Aletha for your kind words...I am so glad that you enjoyed yourself. It is truely a magical location, relaxing by the pool, soaking in the hot tub,or a great game of tennis at our onsite court...you can be as lazy as you want or as busy as you want. The other property that is being refered to in Victoria is www.vrbo.com/253058 thanks again, hope to have you back again Pat

I enjoyed an excellent month stay at Inn of the Sea, south of Nanaimo. From my 2nd floor roomy one room condo, the magnificant view of Stuart Passage and the Gulf Isalnds, greeted me ever morning. Every evening was spent on the balcony having dinner and taking in the endless view. The Inn has very good amentiies , pool, hot tub, tennis court, laundry cabin , shaded parking and also another balcony on the front of the unit . The bed was super and a nice little kitchen made things comfortable. The pier and mooring facilities made it easy to dock my sailboat and get up any morning and go seek and explore another Gulf Island or go fishing or what every you want. The condo complex is nicely secluded on Yellow Point and is very private but friendly. I would highly recommend Inn of the Sea on Vancouver Island and the lovely Cedar , Yellowpoint and Ladysmith areas, for a superb vacation! Oh yes, being pet friendly the made things, just right.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

I recently had my sister visiting from Europe and we stayed at Pat's unit. What an absolutely wonderful place to spend a week. The incredible view, the quietude, the pool and hot tub, the tennis court, the sealife and everchanging sky are the best medicine for a get-away. The unit had everything we wanted and more. The panoramic view offered otters, seals, eagles and boats and I can hardly wait to go back this fall. I can highly recommend staying here, the owner Pat, gave us all the information needed to find the best restaurants, sights, parks and daytrips. We had tea on the deck watching the ocean and felt like we were in heaven.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

The perfect spot for a relaxing family getaway. The kids loved the pool and beach-combing. Convenient for day excursions to Tofino, Parksville etc. Very quiet and secluded spot. Definitely exceeded our expectations!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We have just booked our 3rd year for a wonderful weekend of laughs and memories. We are 8 women in our 50's and 60's who are cousins and we set aside one weekend each year to spend reminising. Our original plan was to explore different locations each year but we found the perfect spot at Inn of the Sea. Altho the stairs to the upstairs bedroom can be a little tricky for a couple of us.... the peacefulness of the area, the caring attitute of the owner, Pat, and the "homey" feeling of the units....made the climb a lot easier. We feel like we are "coming home" each year and will continue to do so as long as Pat is involved. The units are clean and well maintained and the view is awesome. Don't pass by this property..........you will love it. NoreenRecommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Words cannot describe all that I saw and felt when I was fortunate enough to stay at the Inn of the Sea. From the time we drove through a canopy of trees, to the warm breeze and the blue of the ocean, it was magical. Not having a vacation in 8 months, I was feeling stress, but the minute we opened the doors to our suite and sat on the balcony looking at the ocean, feeling the warmth of the sun and the wonderful smell of the water, my body just let go. Our place was spotless, more than I could have imagined, and Pat, the owner, more than helpful as was the lovely caretaker. Next morning as we were having our coffee we were visited by the most magnificant eagle, high above the tree, surveying all that he owned. Sitting on the lawn at the Crow and Gate sipping a cool drink was an added delight. All in all, this place was perfect, and I will have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending. Actually, I have already got friends lined up for next year. We will have a ball! Thank you so much for a special weekend. Arlene SmithRecommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks Arlene...I am so glad you enjoyed yourself so much. Looking forward to having you back again Pat
