Most guests staying in 441 CAPTAINS WALK share that "it exceeded our expectations." And thus, we share that it is one that above the normal decor and cleanliness found in many properties without the same "hands-on" approach.
This is a 3BR "premier" oceanfront is located on the third floor. This complex contains the closest oceanfront property found on HILTON HEAD ISLAND. Please check our photos and comments to discover what makes this a "premier and preferred property".
Updating is one of the qualities return guests anticipate. It distinguishes this villa as being among the "BEST-KEPT" IN THE CAPTAINS WALK COMPLEX.
2010 UPDATES INCLUDE A COTTON LAZY BOY NAVY WRAP AROUND SOFA AND CHAIR for the den. 2011 included additional flat ceilings, improvements in electrical lighting, hurricane strength doors and windows.
2009 updates include GRANITE COUNTER TOPS,STAINLESS SAMSUNG APPLIANCES AND THE STANLEY COASTAL LIVING BED IN THE MBR. Additional accents on the wall and in the Nautical Room furniture have occurred as well. Numerous area rugs soften the 18 inch tile floors.
The 2011 Winter will have brought new exterior doors and windows to all Captains Walk villas. These improvements will make the entire Captains Walk Complex seem refreshed.
Updates are constant. Among these that make this villa unique are mold & mildew resistant bath coatings, "Pottery Barn" rugs, ceiling fans and HD FLAT SCREENS WITH DVD PLAYERS in all rooms.
THIS VILLA IS CONSIDERABLY ABOVE AVERAGE IN VILLA ACCOMMODATIONS!!!
Regarding CAPTAINS WALK COMPLEX, it is best known for its "CLOSE BEACH PROXIMITY" and "LOW DENSITY POPULATION". The "Captains Walk Complex" has three parallel oceanfront buildings with no setbacks. ALL VILLAS ARE OCEANFRONTS!!! Lots of lush palmetto trees shade the parking lot. A security officer is present during the summer season to insure adequate parking and insurance of guest privileges.
441 CAPTAINS WALK is an end unit on the third floor, in the middle building. Catch the elevator down, take a short turn, and walk less than fifty steps to the beach gate!!!
The Hyatt and Hilton Resorts are neighbors. Walk less than five minutes to grab a morning paper or a delicious breakfast buffet, if you so choose.
The unit has over 1760 square feet of space, with long views from the balcony or master bedroom. It is WONDERFULLY SPACIOUS and ON THE BEACH. It is "AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET" to the ocean in Hilton Head. Sleep to the "SOUNDS OF THE OCEAN"!!!
Special features inside include large ceramic tile flooring, sea-critter-knob-ed KITCHEN cabinetry, Eddie Bauer dining set, deluxe bedding, large 48 flat screen TV, VHS, DVD and CD stereo systems. Each room has its own bath and ceiling fan.
For those worried about age and care of the unit, fabrics are rotated and replaced every five years to keep a "SENSE OF FRESHNESS". (500 CT sheets in the MBR and new extra long and thick towel sets exist in all the bedrooms)
A large Lazy Boy wrap around navy couch makes this a perfect fit for families gathering at the end of the day!
Mattress bedding is high quality. Favored bed coverings are from Ralph Lauren and Claire Murray. Check site pics for recent choices in each room. Attention is given to CLEANLINESS.... paint every year where needed, carpets & tile cleaned regularly.
Bed arrangements consist of KING in the Master Bedroom, a QUEEN and TWIN in the center Nautical Bedroom, and TWO TWINS in the back Surf Room. EACH BEDROOM HAS A PRIVATE BATH.
The kitchen has Pottery Barn White dishes and stainless steel cookware. Simple but matching glassware. Entertaining & beachy plastic dishware located in kitchen cabinets for quick sandwiches.
The PATIO provides excellent accommodations to enjoy the ocean view. A BAR-LEVEL Captain's' Table allows unobstructed views while having the morning coffee or late drinks. Two additional adjustable lounge chairs and side table make the balcony a great place to enjoy the sun or catch evening views of beach walkers.
Beach chairs and children's beach toys start the season, though these add and decrease as beach supplies are forgotten and/or added by individual guests.
There is a one hour free TENNIS PASS/day for guests of the unit.

Why the Owner Chose Captain's Walk
We were looking for the "unusual". Something with less bumper to bumper and a feel of "keeping it simple". A place to sit on wide beaches and to navigate good choices of extra fun when we were ready to play off the beach.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
We love having all our "beach toys" a short walk from our front door. We love listening to the ocean at night and catching the quietness of an early sunrise on the ocean. We never tire of being inspired by the mighty ocean, its size and its call to play and to be at peace.

We are the "Hill Family". Terry & Sherry Hill, Daughters, Lee & Megan, Sons-in-Laws, Brant and Jared... who wasn't in this photo. We're Clemson, Auburn, and VT vans... depending on the weekend and who is playing.
Mom & Dad (far right in photo) fell in love with HHI in the 90's when the kids were young. Now, two daughters and two son-in-laws later, we're still loving the Island, filling the trip of life with lots of Work, Golf, Fun Games..."Apples to Apples", "Boccee... Good Fellowship and Good Food!

Anyone renting this villa will not be disappointed. The villa is spacious and comfortably furnished. The bed in the master suite is very comfortable. The villa is very well maintained and extremely clean. The kitchen is better equipped than most condos we have rented. The view of the ocean from the balcony - priceless. Sherry and Terry Hill are wonderful to work with. They are very commited to customer satisfaction. We had a great time.

Have stayed on Hilton Head many years and this was our first stay at this condo. We were very pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the condo. It definitely lived up to the photos. The furniture was very comfortable and we also found the kitchen very well stocked. The view of the ocean from the porch was outstanding and we also loved setting by the beautiful pool. The close proximity of the beach makes this location a winner. Sherry was a pleasure to work with and answered any questions we might have had. We definitely would like to come back again next fall.

My entire family (wife; daughter, son-in-law, grand son; son and girlfriend) just spent a long week-end in this condo. The pictures on this web-site are very descriptive of the unit. It is exquisitively furnished and will make your stay there a delight. Easy beach and pool access make it very strategically located and the ocean view is wonderful. Hilton Head Island has always been one of my favorite vacation locations since visiting there over 30 years ago and it remains after our last visit. Relax and enjoy the island from this condo unit.

We have been staying in this condo during our annual visit to Hilton Head for many years and we are never disappointed. Everything is maintained in pristine condition and, as one guest said, it is so clean you could eat off the floor. There is obvious "owner pride" and it is recognozed from the minute you walk in the door. What you see on the web site, is what you get, but enhanced by the hospitality of the owners.

After vacationing in Hilton Head for over 17 years, we finally found a place that is beautifully decorated and so clean you could eat off the floor! How refreashing it was to open the door to this beautiful condo, walk in, and realize that everything about it was first class. The owner's thought of everything, from the comfortable beds wih high thread count sheets, to flat screen TV's, and bar height table and chairs, so you can see the ocean, with an unobstructive view! Sherry was a pleasure to work with, answering any and all questions in a timely fashion. We all had a great week and can't wait unti next year!

We completely enjoyed our stay at this property. The amount of space in the unit was bigger than anticipated with plenty of room to very comfortably accomodate our family of 5 plus grandma. The unit is very well appointed with all the little "extras" that you might expect based upon the owner's description of the property, pictures and the prior reviews. The captains chairs on the balcony enable you to see over the railing for an unobstructed view, the quality of the furnishings, appliances, linens, dishware, etc. all add to the "class" of this property. The unit is tastefully decorated with a comfortable feeling that immediately allows you to settle in and enjoy your stay. Aside from beach towels and your clubs (for the golfers out there), about the only remaining items needed are your bathing suit and toothbrush!! The owners were extremely responsive to all questions and needs throughout the process and the management company took care of a simple maintenance issue very promptly (even on a Sunday). We would highly recommend this unit to anyone and will certainly have it on the top of our list for a future return to HH.

The unit was everthing it was adverstised. The owner was very helpful and check in was very easy. We hope to go back next since everyone thought it was the best condo we have rented on Hilton Head. I hightly recommend this unit for anyone especially with grandkids.

We loved your beautiful condo at Captains Walk. We were so comfortable there........and we had everything we needed for a relaxing fun vacation. The chairs on the balcony were so great to have an unobstructed view of the ocean. And I especially loved the decor in the master bedroom.......the colors were so pretty. It was obvious that you have taken great care of this property....and of course, there's always that ocean view. Spectacular!

This unit was not only as advertised, but it exceeded the description in every way. Every detail of the unit is well thought out. We were all impressed by the number of amenities included in the unit. The only thing we had to provide was the food and a few spices. From a location standpoint, the golf courses are just a few minutes from the front entrance of Captains Walk. The local grocery store and restaurants are just outside of the entrance of Palmetto Dunes. This was our tenth visit to the Island and this stay was easily one of our favorites mainly due to the great condo and warm weather. Finally, Sherry was easy to deal with and answered all of questions in advance. A footnote to golfers: The Fazio course in Palmetto Dunes was outstanding. Island West was in great shape for April and the layout is fun and challenging. Eagle Pointe is also a very good course. Shipyard was playable and had quite a few alligators floating around.

This unit is exactly as described. Excellent conditon, very nicely furnished, great view and location on the beach. It was clean with no hint of mildew, etc (something we have run into with other beach rentals). We have stayed at Hilton Head over a half dozen times, this unit is definitely the nicest we have rented. We will definitely rent this unit again. The location in Palmetto Dunes is also excellent, walking distance to tennis (unit came with one hour free tennis), nice pool and right on beach.
