In checking in with our guests this 2008 year thus far, we've had comments of "Better than we expected" and "the style we like". A few have asked about our new bath redo's and others have commented on the large screen tv. We invite you to check the comments for yourself below.
We have booked our Spring and Summer months. We're hoping that these new photos of the most recent updates will catch the eyes of guests wanting to visit the beautiful Island of Hilton. This year's updates included new paint and decor in the den area, new mold & mildew resistance white coatings on all our bath tiles, new Pottery Barn entrance rugs, and large flat screens in the master bedroom and den. Additional photos are availalbe,if requested.
Our villa is among THE BEST 3BR Captains Walk villa you will find. Our rates and our location is among the very best you will find anywhere! Our villa is updated, and we care greatly about cleanliness!
Regarding our unit.... For those who have not yet stayed in the CAPTAINS WALK COMPLEX, it is best known for its "beach proximity" and "low density population". Captains Walk has three parallel oceanfront buildings with no setbacks. Lots of lush palmetto trees shade the parking lot, and a security officer is present in the summer to insure adequate parking of guests.
441 CAPTAINS WALK is an end unit on the third floor, in the middle building. To get to the beach, you catch the elevator down, take a short turn, and walk less than fifty steps to the beach gate.
The Hyatt and Hilton Resorts are neighbors. You can walk less than five minutes to grab a morning paper or a delicious breakfast buffet.
Our unit has over 1760 square feet of space, with long views from the balcony or master bedroom. It is WONDERULLY SPACIOUS and CLOSE to the beach; "AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET" to the ocean in Hilton Head. It provides terrific "SOUNDS OF THE OCEAN" as well!!!
Features inside include large ceramic tile flooring, sea-critter-knobbed KITCHEN cabinetry, Eddie Bauer dining set, deluxe bedding, large 48 flatscreen TV, VHS, DVD and CD stereo systems. Each room has its own bath and ceiling fan.
For those worried about age and care of the unit, our fabrics are rotated and replaced every five years to keep a "SENSE OF FRESHNESS". Two green striped "down-filled" couches and cherry red nautical club chairs create a circular feel for the family as they come in to curl up for family time in the den.
The bedding in the master bedroom is a Ralph Lauren Stripe with new box pleated white curtains. Blue plaid Ralph Lauren Comforters were installed in the second BR as well. We also paint every year where needed. The carpets are cleaned regurlarly as well; they were just replaced and will be new for the 2007 year.
The bed arrangement consists of one King in the Master Bedroom, a Queen and a Twin in the Nautical Bedroom or middle BR, and 2 Twins in the Palmetto Room or back BR.
The kitchen has Pottery Barn White dishes and stainless steel cookware. Simple but matching glassware. Entertaining & beachy plastic dishware is also in the cabinets for quick sandwiches.
The PATIO provides excellent accomodations to enjoy the ocean view. A bar-level captains' table allows unobstructed views while having the morning coffee or late drinks. And two adjustable lounge chairs and side table make the balcony a great place to enjoy the sun or catch evening views of beach walkers.
We try to keep beach umbrella, chairs and chidlren's beach toys. So far, this has worked well for families... though we don't promise this as sometimes beach supplies can be forgotten and left outside. There is a one hour free TENNIS PASS/day for guests of the unit.
