My family and I (two grown children) had a wonderful weekend at this home. The location is great - easy walk to the beach and easy walk to good restaurants. A short drive got us to other places we wanted to go. I highly recommend this for a relaxing vacation. The owners are super!

Just got back from this AWESOME cottage, right across from the beach. We live in Atlanta and needed an EASY , AFFORDABLE , break from the city. This house is perfect for anyone who wants to lay back, be close to the beach, walk to eats, rent bikes, and have some back yard cookouts. We had two couples in the house with PLENTY of room for a friend on the pullout SAT night. The porch and front driveway offer tons of outdoor sitting options. You won't need a car to get anywhere-- everything is biking or walking distance. Cabs are only $5. Everything is casual Did I mention, this is right across from the King and Prince, what a cool place to swing and watch the tide come in... The owner is really friendly and available for any questions you have. We loved it and WILL be back.

This house is a perfect location to the beach and is less than a five minute walk down the street. There is a surf shop down the street where you can rent bikes. A bunch of restaurants close by too! The pictures do not do this place justice and it is much bigger than it seems. Great outside deck with a grill and a large screened in porch. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely rent again.

You just can't get much closer to the beach !!!! We've stayed here many times over the years and absolutely love it ! Plenty of windows to let the SSI sunshine in, completely stocked kitchen, invitingly comfortable beds and a wonderful room for playing games with family. I loved the screened in porch the best - huge and comfortable. Perfect place to read that book. SSI is our favourite place in the world and we keep coming back to this house - it has everything you need or want and it's literally steps away from the beach. Don't forget to pick up those steaks - great little deck in the back. And, if cooking in isn't your thing - there are a variety of restaurants just down the street. I don't think we ever used the car once we got there - just biked and walked. You'll love this place !!! Oh, and did I say it was only steps away from the beach????!!!!

We couldn't have asked for a better beach rental for our family of 5! The beach was a stone's throw away and made it so easy to enjoy the beach every single day w/o hassle! The house was super comfortable and kid-friendly! The kids enjoyed the property and played safely in the front and back of the house with lots of room for the 3 of them! The back, enclosed patio was a great spot for a family meal. This house also allows great access to great dining! We ate at Crabdaddy's and had our best meal of the trip! It is within walking distance (maybe 2 minutes) from the property! Ocean Motion and Pain in the Glass are 2 worth while shopping destinations w/in walking distance (again, 2 minutes) from the house. We rented bikes for 1/2 the day at Ocean Motion as well. Right across the street is King and Prince Resort that hosts a Starbucks Coffee that my husband visited daily! Brunch is available there too, but we did not try it...although it smelled awesome! The main village is only a blink of an eye away by car...biking there would have been an option too. Lots of shopping and dining and a fabulous playground and picnic area with putt putt golf and a community pool (season permitting) are right in town too! St. Simon's Island offered more than enough for our active family and the house puts you right at the edge of all the activity! We would highly recommend it!

What a great beach cottage. It was even better than pictures and description indicated. First of all it's in a great location that is convenient to the village, shopping, restaurants and a very easy walk to the beach through the King and Prince parking lot. It has a a huge screen porch on the back that's perfect for reading or taking a nap. The inside of the house is great with a nice size kitchen and bedrooms and an enclosed front porch area that is great for eating or playing board games. We will definitely stay there again.

my girlfriend and i spent a week here in late july of 2010. we found it to be as advertised. it was very clean and well supplied with what we needed. the ocean is 45 seconds away. there are four restaurants within 2 blocks. i met davis love, the golfer at crab daddy's, which was special for me as a huge golf fan. we met the owners, ted and tracy and had them for dinner. they made our stay very enjoyable. we would recommend this property. we spent alot of time on a big screened-in porch and ate breakfast there daily. it's really a very nice place to spend a week or two on the island.

We discovered this property on VRBO five years ago, when we wanted more space than a hotel would provide and the opportunity to bring our dog along on vacation. We've returned every year since, although this is the first time I've thought to leave a review. Very comfortable, very convenient, and very clean. We love the very short walk to the beach, and the convenience to pop into the King and Prince hotel for Starbucks coffee or peach smoothies. We rent bikes around the corner at Ocean Motion, and mornings are perfect for the 1 mile bike ride to the pier for breakfast and shopping. The house has always been in perfect order, we love the screened porch on back, especially during a rain. We book ocean kayaking trips that put in a mile or two away, through the marsh and to Sea Island. Would most definitely recommend this property!
