This is an opportunity to enjoy the wonders of Kauai and Poipu Beach and the magic of this unique location for incredible low rates! You can save and still enjoy the polynesian ambiance that surrounds this magical place. We have Eight (8) lovely and very spacious condominium villas to choose from - all privately-owned and meticulously maintained two-level, open and spacious townhouse villas with a polynesian theme in a tropical garden setting.
Each villa has two levels. The upper level has a spacious master bedroom with ensuite. The entry level has a large living room, full-size kitchen, guest bedroom, bath with laundry, dining area and covered lanai off the living and dining rooms via sliding patio doors. These privately-owned villas are furnished with tropical and Polynesian themes and have all you need for a home-away-from-home experience. The kitchens include refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster or toaster oven and other appliances and amenities, pots/pans, cutlery, flatware, dishes, glasses, linens, etc.
The villas are located in 7 acres of lush and immaculately maintained botanical-type gardens, just a 600 yard stroll away from famous golden sand beaches. Sunny Poipu boasts the best board and body surfing, snorkeling, boogie boarding, and wading beaches that are the envy of Kauai.
We offer all of the comforts to ensure a perfect vacation experience. You can wake up to the sounds of tropical birds then lounge around the large swimming pool, and enjoy a game of tennis or play table tennis in the resort's clubhouse common area. The prevailing trade winds keep the resort comfortable year-round.
With only 30 units in these 7 acres and only two villas per building - you will marvel at the spaciousness and tranquility this resort presents. Even so, these excellently outfitted and totally private villas are located close to award-winning beaches and are easily within strolling distance of several fine hotels, golf courses, and excellent restaurants.
Every sort of water sport can be found in Kauai and equipment for water activities is readily available for rent at Poipu area beaches. It is possible to walk for miles along the coast and beaches, many of which have a rich history with the Polynesian people.
Poipu Crater itself was called Piha ke Kua or “Place full of Gods” which was a sanctuary from nature’s storms and human retribution dating back to the 15th century. The natural volcanic crater is said to have been formed by the foot of the Goddess Pele when she formed the Hawaiian Islands. This sanctuary still exists today as a haven of beauty and tranquility.
If golf is your game this is your destination. Kauai and Poipu have many great golf courses and some are surprisingly affordable (imagine $9 for 9 holes!).

- There are only 15 two-villa condominiums in this 7 acre garden setting. This is the lowest density resort in Poipu. Here you will enjoy spaciousness, privacy and quiet enjoyment of the tropical flowers, trees, palms and resident tropical birds. The buildings are situated to provide privacy and garden views. The spacious covered lanais (12’ by 12’) provided a unique “extra” room to enjoy the botanical landscape. There is a large swimming pool next to the large clubhouse and terrace with communal grills and close to the tennis court. With so few villas it is not unusual to have the pool all to yourself.

Why the Owner Chose Poipu Crater
We have been visiting Kauai since the late 70's and found ourselves especially attracted to the Poipu Beach area. Always sunny and never crowded. When we decided to purchase our own property we asked people living in the area for the best location and we were told about this very special, private and lush tropical setting in the heart of Poipu. As soon as we entered the grounds we discovered a different and magical world with unique architecture in a quiet and spacious garden locale.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Fully equipped, meticulously maintained, two bedroom and two bathroom villas in a very private setting. Guests repeatedly tell us that one of the most treasured features of these villas is the large, private, covered lanais overlooking the gardens. This is the perfect setting for reading, bird watching, and dining al fresco. But the fun doesn't end on the lanai, there is the large swimming pool with ample deck chairs and tables for just "hanging out" at the pool (with only 30 units, you might very well find you have the pool to yourself). Next to the pool is the patio area with tables for dining/relaxing/accessing your computer/etc. and next to that are two communal bbq grills. The clubhouse itself has tables, chairs, sofas and a great variety of books for your enjoyment. There are mens' and ladies' bathrooms/changing rooms by the pool each with a sauna. And the tennis court is a few steps away.
What could be better?
Drive past the Grand Hyatt and CJR Stables until the road ends at a T junction. Turn right and continue along the private road until you reach the parking area. Over the dunes you will find Mahaulepu Beach. Turn left and carry on to a second parking area and a second beach and many great beach walks and dune trails.

We also co-manage rentals for seven other vacation homes for owners in the same complex. These are all individually owned condos each with their own unique style.

Our week in Poipu Beach was perfect and my husband, myself and our two children ages 12 and 15 felt right at home in this condo. Plenty of room, on property activities (swimming, ping pong, and board games) and a very short walk to a lovely beach where we actually saw turtles, a seal and a ray on the same day!! I would highly recommend this place to any active family!! Mahalo! We will be back!!

We had 7 wonderful days and we loved the crater! The island is magical We did not want to leave here and go back home to our fast-paced life style. We started coming up with some excuses to not coming into work on Monday: 1) Dan fell into a lava tube and is trapped. 2) Dijana got hit by a coconut on the head and is in a coma. 3) Dan was kidnapped by the Menehune (island's little people) 4) Dijana has 3rd degree burns from the Poipu sunshine. 5) Dan touched a monk seal and was arrested for a federal offense. 6) Dijana was attacked by wild chicken and kittens and suffered some bad injuries. 7) Dan attempted to hand glide off Waimea canyon and went missing. 8) Dijana attemped to ride Wailua Falls and went missing. 9) Dan OD'd on Mai Tai's. 10) T-Rex ate our plane tickets.

My sincere thanks for the accommodations, this is a very nice place you have there in the crater (#14). We had a great time on Kauai. This island really is paradise on earth. We visited Oahu before coming here and we are going to Mauai next. All I have to say Maui has some big shoes to fill because Kauai is the best island yet. We absolutely enjoyed our first trip to Kauai and staying in your villa! It was everything we expected, and more. The suite was clean, well maintained, well equipped and just plain gorgeous! (The wine was a nice touch too.) We were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities, both quantity and quality, as far as kitchenware, TVs, radios, recreational equipment and linens. It truly felt like a home away from home. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer and see more of the beautiful island. We are already planning on returning soon, only this time without the kids. The quiet location was appreciated as it allowed us to really relax and unwind immediately after arriving. We have already recommended your villas to family and friends comtemplating a trip to Kauai. Maybe in the future we can discuss with you the logistics of Canadians owning rental properties in Hawaii, as this trip has piqued our interest. We sincerely appreciated the accurate representation of your villa on the website, especially after being greatly disappointed in our accomodations in Maui. We have been to the Islands 5 or 6 times, our second trip to Kauai. Your condo was the best by far! Can't think of a thing you could add. We walked in and said "Wow"! We were in #14 from June 24 to July 3. It was like walking into my own home. The extra outdoor items were well used at the beach. I felt like I could cook whatever I wanted without restriction from not having the proper kitchen appliance. The unit was extremely clean and the whole area was just wonderful!
