We had 7 wonderful days and we loved the crater! The island is magical We did not want to leave here and go back home to our fast-paced life style. We started coming up with some excuses to not coming into work on Monday: 1) Dan fell into a lava tube and is trapped. 2) Dijana got hit by a coconut on the head and is in a coma. 3) Dan was kidnapped by the Menehune (island's little people) 4) Dijana has 3rd degree burns from the Poipu sunshine. 5) Dan touched a monk seal and was arrested for a federal offense. 6) Dijana was attacked by wild chicken and kittens and suffered some bad injuries. 7) Dan attempted to hand glide off Waimea canyon and went missing. 8) Dijana attemped to ride Wailua Falls and went missing. 9) Dan OD'd on Mai Tai's. 10) T-Rex ate our plane tickets.

My sincere thanks for the accommodations, this is a very nice place you have there in the crater (#14). We had a great time on Kauai. This island really is paradise on earth. We visited Oahu before coming here and we are going to Mauai next. All I have to say Maui has some big shoes to fill because Kauai is the best island yet. Thanks again and we hope to be able to come back. Mahalo!

Our week in Poipu Beach was perfect and my husband, myself and our two children ages 12 and 15 felt right at home in this condo. Plenty of room, on property activities (swimming, ping pong, and board games) and a very short walk to a lovely beach where we actually saw turtles, a seal and a ray on the same day!! I would highly recommend this place to any active family!! Mahalo! We will be back!!

Recommended for: Families with teenagers

From our guestbook in the villa: "All the way from Canada's Arctic...the Poipu area thawed us out completely!...The Crater and complex is so very quiet, relaxing and feels so safe! The condo was comfortable and pleasantly bright and accommodating. Thank you so much Eric & Kathy for all the attention to detail. We will recmmend this spot to outhers for sure - as we checked around and felt this spot realy offered us all we needed. The Island is magic!" We absolutely enjoyed our first trip to Kauai and staying in your villa! It was everything we expected, and more. The suite was clean, well maintained, well equipped and just plain gorgeous! (The wine was a nice touch too.) We were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities, both quantity and quality, as far as kitchenware, TVs, radios, recreational equipment and linens. It truly felt like a home away from home. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer and see more of the beautiful island. We are already planning on returning soon, only this time without the kids. The quiet location was appreciated as it allowed us to really relax and unwind immediately after arriving. We have already recommended your villas to family and friends comtemplating a trip to Kauai. Maybe in the future we can discuss with you the logistics of Canadians owning rental properties in Hawaii, as this trip has piqued our interest. We sincerely appreciated the accurate representation of your villa on the website, especially after being greatly disappointed in our accomodations in Maui. Had a fantastic visit! The Crater is beautiful and very quiet. The boys, George & Noel loved the pool and Poipu Beach - It is a nice easy walk! The condo is great! All the comforts of home - It has everything! We had a great stay

We have been to the Islands 5 or 6 times, our second trip to Kauai. Your condo was the best by far! Can't think of a thing you could add. We walked in and said "Wow"! We were in #14 from June 24 to July 3. It was like walking into my own home. The extra outdoor items were well used at the beach. I felt like I could cook whatever I wanted without restriction from not having the proper kitchen appliance. The unit was extremely clean and the whole area was just wonderful!

The key for unit #14 went in the mail to you to-day. Sorry I didn't get this key to you sooner....I think part of me didn't want to give up the link to Kauai. We had such a marvelous time there! It was one of our best vacations we have ever taken and we believe primarily that was because of the condo. We immediately felt at home and very comfortable. Thank you so much for everything. You do make this place (Kauai) even a bit more special. We will definitely return to Poipu Crater

Thanks so much for sharing #14 with us. It's such a comfortable place and feels (I know you heard this) like home away from home. We loved the kitchen since we purchased at the farmers markets and cooked most of our meals..... When we left Kauai and got to Maui we were at first dissappointed! We wanted to turn around and get back to Kauai. The energy of the two islands is strikingly different. We ened up enjoying Maui, but our hearts were with Kauai. Where we stayed on Maui wasn't nearly as nice as #14. We were spoiled.....

Told you we would be back. I looked forward to waking up with "the birds" and heading for Poipu Beach....... This has been a very relaxing time in the Crater, especially after spending six day in the "jungle"(Waikiki). Mahalo Nui for having us once again and look forward to next year,as always

We want to thank you for the use of your condo. Everything about it was wonderful, and we were very comfortable there. We especially enjoyed the deck, with the plumeria blossoms nearby scenting the air. We ate all our meals there. I liked the the masterbedroom and bath arrangement, also.
